Clement isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

Clement went 1-for-4 with an RBI during a win in Friday's series opener and will now retreat to the bench while Isiah Kiner-Falefa picks up a start at the hot corner, batting seventh.

Kirk isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

After going 0-for-3 with two walks and a run scored Friday, Kirk will step aside while Tyler Heineman catches for Chris Bassitt and bats ninth.

Schlittler (2-3) took the loss Friday as the Yankees fell 7-1 to the Blue Jays, coughing up four runs on five hits and two walks over 1.2 innings. He struck out two.

The rookie right-hander struck out the first two batters he faced on the night, but a Vladimir Guerrero single kicked off a three-run rally in the first inning, and Schlittler eventually got the hook after laboring through 66 pitches (46 strikes). It's the first time he's allowed more than three runs in a start since he joined the big-league rotation in early July, but if there was a silver lining to the stumble, it's that Schlittler still kept the ball in the yard -- he hasn't served up a home run in five straight starts, and through his first 50 MLB innings he sports a 3.24 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 56:22 K:BB and 1.1 HR/9. He'll look to rebound in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Tigers.

Guerrero went 4-for-5 with a solo home run and two additional runs scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the Yankees.

The first baseman took former teammate Ryan Yarbrough deep in the fifth inning, as Guerrero homered for the second straight game and racked up multiple hits for the third straight. A minor hamstring strain in late August derailed him at the plate for a spell -- he went 1-for-22 over an eight-game skid that ended Aug. 30 -- but since then he's been locked in, going 11-for-21 over his last five contests with five RBI, nine runs and a 4:0 BB:K.

Gausman (9-10) picked up the win Friday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over eight innings in a 7-1 victory over the Yankees. He struck out five.

A solo shot by Giancarlo Stanton in the second inning was the only blemish on Gausman's line as he fired 105 pitches (68 strikes) en route to his 14th quality start of the season. The veteran righty has given up two runs or fewer in five of his last six outings, posting a 2.48 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 35:7 K:BB through 40 innings over that stretch to help lead the Blue Jays' playoff push. Gausman lines up to make his next start at home next week against the Astros.

Basallo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 2-1 win over the Dodgers.

The rookie swatted his second career homer and his first at home in Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and he made it count -- with the score tied 1-1 and two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, Basallo crushed a Tanner Scott fastball 433 feet over the fence in right-center field. The 21-year-old is still adjusting to big-league pitching, but his upside is undeniable, and through his first 15 games with the O's he's slashing .204/.271/.389 with four doubles, nine RBI and a 4:13 BB:K.

Kremer left Friday's start against the Dodgers after three innings due to forearm discomfort, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports. The right-hander had struck out four and walked one over three scoreless, no-hit innings before exiting.

The Orioles went on to win the game on a walk-off homer by Samuel Basallo, but Kremer's injury overshadowed the rookie's heroics. Per Jake Rill of MLB.com, interim manager Tony Mansolino indicated after the game that Kremer believes the issue is a minor one, but the team will have a better idea whether he'll be able to make his next start after getting imaging done Saturday. Kremer had coughed up 14 runs (13 earned) in eight innings over his prior two outings, so he may have been attempting to pitch through the discomfort since late August.

Stanton isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays.

Stanton will get a chance to catch his breath Saturday after going 2-for-4 with a home run in Friday's series opener. While he rests, Aaron Judge will serve as the Yankees' designated hitter, with Jasson Dominguez, Trent Grisham and Cody Bellinger in the outfield.

Fletcher went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored Friday against the Tigers.

Fletcher had his contract selected Friday, and he hit ninth and started in center field the same day. He doubled in both of his first two at-bats and came around to score on each occasion. It remains to be seen how consistent his at-bats will be, as Michael Taylor, Brooks Baldwin and Will Robertson are also capable of manning center field.

Bigge (lat) will throw a bullpen session Sept. 9, MLB.com reports.

Bigge is recovering from both a lat injury and facial fractures that he suffered in mid-June. He began playing catch in mid-August, so it's unclear if he'll be able to ramp up in time to return in 2025.
