De La Cruz is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Twins.

De La Cruz is hitting .161 with zero home runs and six steals in 17 games this month. Noelvi Marte is starting at shortstop while Christian Encarnacion-Strand mans the hot corner.

Correa (plantar fasciitis) is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Reds.

Correa underwent an MRI on Tuesday after his plantar fasciitis flared up Monday and the team has not released the results. Kyle Farmer is starting at shortstop and hitting sixth. The Twins have an off day Thursday before a weekend homestand against the Angels.

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-4 win over the Giants.

Perdomo's second-inning double must have felt good. It was the shortstop's first hit since Sept. 7, a span of 25 at-bats without one. He's on the strong side of a platoon with rookie Jordan Lawlar, both of whom are struggling during September. Perdomo is batting .119 (5-for-42) and Lawlar is at .150 (3-for-20) for the month.

Troy underwent surgery for a fractured foot last week, Theo Mackie of the Arizona Republic reports.

Troy showed up in the dugout at Chase Field on Tuesday wearing a walking boot on his left foot. The 21-year-old shortstop, who was selected with the 12th overall pick this summer, said he originally hurt the foot in March when he was hit by a pitch but played through the injury. Troy added that stitches are set to be removed in two weeks and expects a full offseason of training. He hit .394/.478/.699 this year at Stanford, then slashed .271/.374/.469 in 27 games between the Arizona Complex League and High-A Hillsboro.

Crawford went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, an RBI double and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Athletics.

It took until the seventh inning, but Crawford was able to extend his hitting streak to nine games. He's gone 11-for-38 (.289) in that span. The shortstop is up to 16 homers, 57 RBI, 88 runs scored, 34 doubles and two stolen bases while slashing .266/.382/.433 through 134 contests this season. Crawford's excellent on-base skills continue to be valuable as the Mariners' primary leadoff hitter.

Baez was scratched from the Tigers' lineup ahead of Tuesday's game against the Dodgers due to lower-back tightness, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports..

The Tigers haven't given any details on how severe Baez's injury is, but he should be considered day-to-day going forward. Zack Short will fill in for Baez at shortstop and bat eighth Tuesday.

Correa, who is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Reds, underwent an MRI on his left foot earlier in the day, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.comreports.

The 28-year-old has played through plantar fasciitis in his left foot throughout the season, and the issue flared up during Monday's loss to Cincinnati. Bench coach Jayce Tingler said the team is approaching the injury as a day-to-day concern and noted that Correa has typically been able to return to action relatively quickly this season after aggravating the issue.

Lawlar is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Giants.

Lawlar has gone 3-for-20 (.150) with zero extra-base hits and eight strikeouts in eight major-league games since being called up Sept. 7 from Triple-A Reno. It appears the talented 21-year-old infielder will be a part-time player for the Diamondbacks down the stretch.

Correa (foot) is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cincinnati.

Correa had to be removed from Monday's loss to the Reds after aggravating the lingering plantar fasciitis in his left foot, so it's not surprising he's on the bench a day later. The veteran shortstop has dealt with a foot issue for much of the season and was forced to miss a couple of games last week. How much time Correa might miss this time around isn't clear, though at this stage, the Twins are labeling him day-to-day. Kyle Farmer is filling in at shortstop Tuesday.

Pena went 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI on Monday against the Orioles.

Pena delivered an RBI single in the sixth inning and later came around to score in the same frame, a continuation of his positive performance in September. He has yet to go deep but has hit .292 with three RBI and 13 runs scored across 16 games for the month. Overall, Pena has shown improved plate discipline as compared to his rookie season, though he's seen a disappointing dip in power -- highlighted by a drip in his ISO from .173 to .123.
