Wendle (shoulder) is back to full health and will report to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.

Wendle was placed on the major-league DL on April 1 with a shoulder injury but appears to have made a full recovery. He'll be activated from the disabled list and optioned to Triple-A on Wednesday.

Correa's hand injury is not expected to land him on the 10-day disabled list, according to manager A.J. Hinch, Brian McTaggart of the Astros' official site reports.

Correa, who thought he'd be available Monday, is not in Tuesday's lineup. Hinch appears confident the shortstop's absence will only be "for a couple of days."

Rojas is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Mariners, Shannon Drayer of MyNorthwest.com reports.

After starting the last six games, the 28-year-old will take a seat as J.T. Riddle gets the nod at shortstop. Rojas is taking advantage of his enhanced playing time due to injuries, hitting 11-for-33 with two RBI and six runs through 12 games, and he could earn semi-regular at-bats even after Adeiny Hechavarria (oblique) and Martin Prado (calf) return.

Turner (hamstring) will be sent out on a short rehab assignment, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.

Manager Dusty Baker confirmed that Turner will not be activated from the DL on Wednesday, when first eligible. Turner seems to be progressing well in his recovery from a hamstring strain, as he ran sprints on the field prior to Sunday's game and advanced to running the bases Tuesday. A return before the end of the weekend series against the Mets seems possible.

Correa (hand) is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Angels, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Correa will miss his third straight game due to a right hand contusion, though the Astros don't consider the issue to be anything overly serious. He'll likely test out his hand again Wednesday, at which point a decision will be made on whether he'll be able to play or not. As manager A.J. Hinch told MLB Network Radio on Tuesday, the 22-year-old is "truly day-to-day." Expect an update on his status Wednesday, while Alex Bregman should continue to fill in at shortstop during Correa's absence.

Turner (hamstring) is running the bases in an effort to test his hamstring, Mark Zuckerman of MASN reports.

Over the past week, the speedy infielder has been ramping up his running work, and it's seeming more and more likely each day that he could return to the lineup Wednesday after the minimum 10-day absence. Nothing is set in stone as of now, and even though things are looking up, keep an eye on Turner's status heading into Wednesday's contest with Atlanta.

Bogaerts is playing shortstop and batting leadoff Tuesday against the Blue Jays, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports.

With Dustin Pedroia getting his first day off on the year, Bogaerts will slide up to the top of the order for the first time in his career. The 24-year-old will look to continue his solid start, as he's 12-for-36 on the year with four RBI and two stolen bases.

Baez is batting seventh and playing shortstop Tuesday against the Brewers.

The 24-year-old has only started at second base this season, but he'll give Addison Russell a day off by switching to the other side of the infield. Baez is currently riding a modest four-game hit streak, and given his versatility, he could get more looks around the diamond if other players need days off.

Sardinas started at shortstop on Monday, going 1-for-3 with a stolen base in a loss to the Braves.

The 23-year-old fell out of favor to the 33-year-old Erick Aybar this spring, failing to claim the Padres' starting shortstop job despite entering camp as the leading candidate. The latter has done nothing to lose his role as the team's everyday shortstop, so Sardinas will continue to ride the pine on most nights.

Manager AJ Hinch reiterated Tuesday that Correa (hand) is truly day-to-day, MLB Network Radio reports. "Getting grip strength back is tough and until he has that, I'm going to sit him," Hinch said.

He has sat out the last two games, and it sounds like a situation where he will continue to test his hand before each game, and the field staff will make a decision based on the results. The Astros face right-hander Ricky Nolasco in Tuesday's game against the Angels. If Correa is unavailable once again, Alex Bregman will likely get the start at shortstop.
