Diaz is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader against Cleveland, Mike Wilner of BlueJaysTalk reports.

Diaz will retreat to the bench after making six straight starts, though he could be in line for a reduced role now that Josh Donaldson (shoulder) is back from the disabled list. Through 27 appearances this season, Diaz is hitting just .191/.242/.360 with four home runs and 10 RBI. Manager John Gibbons will likely try to keep Lourdes Gurriel and Yangervis Solarte in the regular lineup, so unless Diaz begins to figure things out at the plate, he could be in store for more of a reserve role moving forward.

Swanson (wrist) is not expected to play Thursday against the Mets, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Swanson was lifted from Wednesday's game against the Mets for precautionary reasons with a sore left wrist. While he's being labeled as day-to-day, it sounds like the Braves will play it safe and hold him out of the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale with hopes of him returning to action Friday. Johan Camargo will likely start at shortstop in his stead.

Swanson was removed from Wednesday's game against the Mets for precautionary reasons with a sore right wrist.

Swanson was 0-for-2 with a pair of strikeouts before being replaced by Johan Camargo prior to the bottom of the sixth inning. He should be considered day-to-day for now.

Story went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Cubs.

The homer was his seventh of the year, though he also whiffed twice to run his strikeout rate to 31.3 percent. He's struck out at least once in eight straight games, but the 25-year-old should still remain a solid run producer nonetheless. His seven home runs and 20 RBI are both tops among shortstops in the NL.

Crawford went 2-for-4 with three RBI in Wednesday's 9-4 win over the Padres.

It was his first multi-hit game since April 13 and first game with multiple RBI since April 4, as Crawford has had a rough first month of the season. The shortstop's .204/.245/.306 slash line has been sabotaged by a career-worst contact rate and strikeout rate, but the 31-year-old still has plenty of time to fix his swing and turn things around.

Arcia went 3-for-4 and scored a run in Tuesday's victory over the Reds.

It's been a tough year at the plate for Arcia -- as evidence, his three hits Tuesday matched his total from the previous 11 days -- but this effort at least helped get his batting average back over the Mendoza Line. The Brewers and fantasy owners are no doubt hoping it helps get him going moving forward as well.

Gordon went 5-for-5 with a double and two steals in Tuesday's win over the Athletics.

The 30-year-old continues to be a perfect leadoff hitter for the Mariners, as he now has nine hits over the past two games and is 11-for-14 with three steals and three runs scored over the last three. The two steals Tuesday give him an AL-leading 12 in 14 attempts on the year, and he's currently boasting a .339/.367/.435 slash line -- all of which would mark career bests.

Castro's contract was selected by the Rockies on Tuesday, Jenny Cavnar of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports.

Castro has started the season strong at Triple-A Albuquerque. Over 23 games he's slashed .407/.429/.516 with 11 RBI and 17 runs scored. With DJ LeMahieu (hamstring) on the disabled list, Castro could have the chance to see some time in the lineup, as he presents a versatile infield option for the Rockies. Last season with Albuquerque he spent time at second base, third base and shortstop.

Herrera is getting his first major league start Tuesday at second base in place of the injured Scooter Gennett.

Herrera nearly made the Reds' big-league club on Opening Day after a good spring and was off to a good start at Triple-A Louisville, hitting .311/.373/.607 in 68 plate appearances. He's not a highly rated prospect, however, as he was a minor-league free agent after spending his professional career in the Rockies' minor-league system without getting a call up.

Wendle is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Tigers.

Wendle is off to a hot start at the plate (.329 batting average, 13 runs scored, two stolen bases), but he'll retreat to the bench for a night off to avoid a lefty-on-lefty matchup with Detroit starter Matt Boyd. Daniel Robertson will take his place at second base Tuesday night.
