Gordon (quadriceps) took batting practice on the field prior to the Mariners' game Sunday against the Tigers, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Gordon was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday on account of the strained left quadriceps, but the fact that he's already resuming activities suggests the 31-year-old could be in store for an abbreviated IL stint. He could attempt to resume a running program at some point next week, which would provide the Mariners with a better gauge for when he might be ready for activation.

Camargo will start at shortstop and bat eighth Sunday against the Phillies.

The Braves have settled on Camargo as the primary replacement at shortstop while Dansby Swanson (foot) is stuck on the injured list. With zero hits in 13 at-bats while starting the past three contests, Camargo has yet to take advantage of the opportunity afforded him. For his part, Swanson said he expects to be sidelined for close to the minimum 10 days, leaving Camargo with little time to get his bat going.

Correa (elbow) will start at shortstop and bat fifth Sunday against the Cardinals, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

In his second game back from a rib injury that sidelined him for two months, Correa busted out with a base hit and his first career grand slam before exiting in the ninth inning, when he was spiked in the right elbow. Correa downplayed the issue after the game and will be cleared to start the series finale, with the treatment he received for the laceration apparently having taken care of the matter.

Anderson (ankle) went 2-for-5 with a home run while serving as the designated hitter for Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday.

Anderson was supposed to get the day off, but the White Sox changed course and had him play a fourth straight game, David Just of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. That the team called an audible on the planned day off is a good sign the injured shortstop is nearing a return. He'll be in the lineup for a fifth straight day Sunday. Anderson is 7-for-18 with four RBI and three runs scored in four rehab games with the Knights. With an off day coming Monday, the White Sox could have Anderson back in the fold Tuesday.

Gordon has experienced improvement in his right quadriceps strain and could begin baseball activities this coming week, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

The knot that Gordon had in his quadriceps muscle has reportedly dissolved, leading manager Scott Servais to suggest Gordon could ramp up his activity level in the coming days. The veteran was a prime candidate to be moved prior to the July 31 trade deadline, but the timing of his injury has presumably all but tied him to the Mariners for the remainder of 2019.

Fletcher went 4-for-5 with three RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Orioles.

Fletcher provided a go-ahead two-run double in the second inning that gave the Angels a 4-2 lead. Fletcher added an RBI single in the ninth inning as the Halos tried to rally one more time, and he stole second base while representing the winning run, but the comeback push failed when Justin Upton popped out. Fletcher is hitting .298/.360/.415 with 36 RBI, 55 runs scored and eight stolen bases over 100 games this season.

Ahmed went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and five RBI in Saturday's 9-2 win at Miami.

Ahmed provided the Diamondbacks with a 6-1 lead during the fourth inning with his one-out grand slam, the second of his career. The 29-year-old had only two extra-base hits in 13 games since the All-Star break entering Saturday, though he did have a .293 average in that stretch.

Correa went 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBI in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Cardinals. He exited in the ninth inning after being spiked in the right elbow on a slide but expects to play in Sunday's series finale, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

After singling in a run in the first inning, the shortstop drove a Michael Wacha fastball over the right-field fence in the third for his first career grand slam. Correa wasted little time getting back into a groove, launching his 12th homer of the year in his second game back from a two-month absence, and on the season he's now slashing .293/.356/.551. The 24-year-old was the recipient of a poor slide during the eighth inning and briefly dealt with some numbness to prompt his exit, but he said after the game that he has no further issues.

Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in a 10-9 loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Adames' homer was his first in July and came after he was just 2-for-25 in his last eight games. The 23-year-old still has a rather anemic .237/.298/.383 slash line for the season but is continuing to get regular playing time. He now has 11 home runs and 30 RBI over 355 at-bats.

Swanson (foot) is hoping to return from the injured list when first eligible Aug. 3, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Swanson is currently on the injured list with a right foot contusion, but it doesn't sound like his stay on the shelf will be an extended one. As of now, the Braves don't anticipate Swanson needing more than the minimum 10 days to recover.
