Bichette (knee) could be sidelined until mid-September, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.

Bichette was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a sprained right knee, but the injury could be worse than initially anticipated. As a result, he could be sidelined until the middle of September as he recovers. The update is a significant blow for the Blue Jays and for his fantasy value. Joe Panik, Brandon Drury and Santiago Espinal could see increased time at shortstop while Bichette is sidelined.

Lindor went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, two doubles, three RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Tigers.

Lindor entered Sunday's tilt with just seven hits in his last 41 at-bats, but the shortstop broke out in a big way in the series finale. After taking Michael Fulmer deep in the third inning, Lindor was able to add to his day with a run-scoring double in the seventh. Lindor is still slashing a pedestrian .233/.281/.422, but he will look to build off his big day when the Indians open a series with the Pirates on Tuesday.

The Blue Jays placed Bichette on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a sprained right knee, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Bichette's move to the IL comes just hours after he was sent in for an MRI on the injured knee, which prevented him from playing in the resumption of Saturday's suspended game against the Rays. He'll now be sidelined for the regularly-scheduled game Sunday and at least a week and a half beyond that, even though the Blue Jays have yet to reveal the results of his MRI. Bichette's move to the IL could open up steady action at shortstop for veteran Joe Panik, with Brandon Drury and the newly recalled Santiago Espinal also representing potential options at the position.

Mondesi will start at shortstop and bat ninth Sunday against the Twins, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Nicky Lopez had batted out of the ninth spot in the order in three of the previous four games, but after a recent surge at the plate, he'll move up to the two hole in the series finale. As a result, the rest of the Royals regulars will drop back a spot in the lineup, leaving the struggling Mondesi as the No. 9 hitter for the first time this season. While Mondesi hasn't hesitated to run this season, he's gotten on base at a measly .263 clip and hasn't been efficient on the bases (five steals in nine attempts). Additionally, he has yet to hit a home run in 21 games, leaving those that selected Mondesi in fantasy drafts wanting more a quarter of the way through the season.

Bichette felt something in his knee Saturday and will get an MRI on Sunday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

He brought up the issue with the club after the game was suspended for rain, saying he felt something while stretching. Bichette won't play in the first game Sunday and is doubtful for the second game.

Baez is not in Sunday's lineup against the Brewers.

Baez is 0-for-14 with seven strikeouts over his last three games, so he will head to the bench for a rare breather. Jason Kipnis starts at second base while Nico Hoerner slides over to shortstop.

Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Braves, Andre Fernandez of Sirius XM Radio reports.

Rojas was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Saturday, but he didn't see any use in the Marlins' 2-1 loss later that day, and he'll now be on the bench for the series finale. The Marlins may just be working Rojas back in slowly, as the 31-year-old is eventually expected to settle back in as the team's everyday shortstop. Jonathan Villar will cover the position in Rojas' stead Sunday.

Berti will start in right field and will bat sixth Sunday against the Braves, Andre Fernandez of Sirius XM Radio reports.

Though he opened the campaign in a super-utility role, Berti has seemingly found a home of late in right field, where he'll be making his fourth consecutive start. Berti may be squeezed out of the outfield once Corey Dickerson (personal) returns from the bereavement list and the likes of Harold Ramirez and Garrett Cooper are back from the COVID-19 injured list, but Berti's ability to play three infield spots should help keep his playing time relatively stable. Through 50 plate appearances this season, Berti is slashing .227/.320/.273 with nine runs and four stolen bases.

Ahmed went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 7-6 win over the Padres.

Ahmed, who extended his hitting streak to six games, has busted out of an early season slump in a big way. The shortstop is 11-for-22 with a home run, two doubles, nine RBI and 10 runs scored during the streak.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's loss to the Yankees.

Bogaerts gave Boston a short-lived lead in the third inning with a long ball to left field off James Paxton. The homer was his first since he hit a pair Aug. 2, and he now has four overall this season while slashing .273/.351/.515.
