Berti exited Thursday's game against the Pirates due to a mild left groin strain, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Berti was removed from Thursday's matchup prior to the second inning after he sustained the groin injury while sliding into second base on a successful steal. It's encouraging the 32-year-old's injury is being classified as mild, and he should be considered day-to-day ahead of Friday's series opener against the Phillies.

Berti was removed ahead of the second inning of Thursday's game against the Pirates with an apparent injury, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Berti walked in his lone plate appearance in the bottom of the first inning and proceeded to record his MLB-leading 28th stolen base, but it came at the price of an injury. De Nicola notes that Berti appeared to suffer the injury in question while sliding into second base, though he stayed in the game for the remainder of the inning before he was replaced by Joey Wendle in the field for the top of the second. The Marlins should provide an update on the nature of Berti's injury later Thursday.

Lindor went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 7-3 win over Atlanta.

His third-inning blast off Charlie Morton gave the Mets a 4-0 lead and proved to be the game-winning hit. Lindor has hit safely in seven straight games and gone yard in three of the last six, boosting his slash line on the year to .244/.317/.433 with 16 homers, nine steals, 52 runs and 64 RBI through 88 contests.

Wendle is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Pirates, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Wendle will get a breather after he picked up starts out of the middle infield in each of the past four contests while going 3-for-13 with an RBI. Miguel Rojas will be back in the lineup after a one-game rest to start at shortstop Thursday, while Jon Berti occupies the keystone.

Bogaerts went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and a stolen base in a loss to the Rays on Wednesday.

Bogaerts collected two of Boston's five hits in the contest, and he scored the team's lone run in the fifth inning. The shortstop gave his fantasy managers another reason to be happy by swiping his fifth bag of the season. Bogaerts' power has waned of late -- he has only one long ball in his past 34 games -- but he's otherwise hit well with a .314/.391/.454 slash line over 361 plate appearances.

Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base Wednesday against the Marlins.

Cruz did all of his damage in the fifth inning when he led off with a walk, stole second base and came around to score on a single by Ben Gamel. Cruz has had some growing pains in his first substantial stint in the majors, though he now has three stolen bases to go along with four home runs in 21 games. However, he's also hitting just .210 for the season, in large part due to a 34.9 percent strikeout rate across 86 plate appearances.

Baez went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double and an RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Royals.

The Tigers scored just two runs, but Baez managed his second consecutive two-hit effort. Three of his last four hits are doubles, and the shortstop is starting to drive the ball with more authority despite batting just .218 for the season. Baez had a .306 slugging percentage through the end of May but has bumped that up to .466 from June onward.

Bichette went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Phillies.

Bichette ripped an RBI single off Zack Wheeler in the bottom of the fifth frame and later stole second base in the inning. He also added a second single in the seventh inning, notching his second multi-hit effort in the last three games. Bichette is now up to six stolen bases on the year, but Wednesday's swipe was his first since June 21. The shortstop has now produced at least one hit in 16 of his last 17 contests, batting .304 with two home runs, five doubles, 10 RBI, eight runs and a stolen base over that stretch.

Castillo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Castillo will take a seat against right-hander Pablo Lopez after he went 8-for-24 with two home runs, two walks, five RBI and two additional runs while starting each of the past seven games. With Bryan Reynolds (oblique) landing on the 10-day injured list Monday, the Pirates have a regular spot open in the outfield, and Castillo and Jake Marisnick look to be the primary candidates to play alongside Jack Suwinski and Ben Gamel. It'll be Marisnick who is rewarded with the start Wednesday after he hit home runs in both of his first two games since returning from the 60-day IL.

Rojas will sit Wednesday against the Pirates, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas will get a breather after he went 0-for-7 with a run scored and a stolen base in the first two games of the series. Joey Wendle will slide over to shortstop while Bryan De La Cruz enters the lineup in left field and will bat eighth.
