  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Sits out Tuesday

Rojas is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Braves.

Rojas is expected to carry a bigger workload with Adeiny Hechavarria (oblique) on the shelf, but he'll head to the bench for a night off. J.T. Riddle will make his big-league debut to fill his place at shortstop.

  • Giants' Brandon Crawford: Chips in offense in win

Crawford went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run during Monday's 4-1 win over Arizona.

It was another solid outing for Crawford, as hitting in the heart of the lineup helps his fantasy floor. He offers more pop than most shortstops and really moves the needle in the RBI column, having netted 84 in consecutive seasons. Crawford has gone 11-for-30 with a home run, five RBI and six runs to start the year; he's a serviceable option in the majority of settings.

  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Nationals' Trea Turner: Aims to return once eligible

Turner (hamstring) is expected to return from the DL once he becomes eligible, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.

Manager Dusty Baker said that the implementation of the 10-day disabled list aided in the decision to move Turner to the DL, as the team is optimistic that he won't need to miss extra time. Baker also stated that there was concern that the hamstring strain could linger throughout the season had Turner not been rested right away, which led to Washington erring on the side of caution with the young star.

Nationals' Trea Turner: Lands on disabled list

Turner was placed on the disabled list with a strained hamstring Monday, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.

Washington had said that Turner was expected to miss a few games after suffering a hamstring injury Saturday, but it appears that he's due for a more extended absence. There's currently no timeline for his return, but it sounds possible that it'll come soon after he's eligible. With Turner out, Stephen Drew will likely see an increase in playing time at shortstop.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Cubs' Javier Baez: Back in lineup Monday

Baez will play second base and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Dodgers.

Baez is back in action after getting the day off Sunday, taking over at second base while Ben Zobrist slides into the outfield. The 24-year-old is 3-for-14 with three RBI and two runs in five games this season.

  • Chris Owings SS | LAD

Diamondbacks' Chris Owings: Blasts first homer in Sunday's win

Owings went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, two stolen bases and two runs scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Indians.

Owings is off to a strong start, hitting .360 and recording just one hitless performance in his first first six games. His overall body of work in the majors isn't impressive, but he has showed signs that he could put it all together in 2017. Owings must show a better eye at the plate in order to do so, but his speed and multi-position eligibility is attractive to fantasy owners in deeper leagues.

  • Corey Seager SS | TEX

Dodgers' Corey Seager: Homers in victory

Seager went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in the 10-6 victory over the Rockies on Sunday.

It was Seager's second dinger of the season, and he's now hitting .308 in the early going. The soon-to-be 23-year-old is one of the best all-around young shortstops in baseball, and he proved why yet again Sunday.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: In Sunday's lineup

Rojas is starting at shortstop and batting eighth Sunday against the Mets, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

Due to Adeiny Hechavarria (oblique) recently being placed on the disabled list, Rojas will get the nod to start at shortstop. After playing in four games this season, Rojas has gone 2-for-11 and notched two RBI.

  • Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU

Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz: Two-HR, four-RBI night Saturday

Diaz went 3-for-5 with four RBI from a solo home run and three-run shot in Saturday's 10-4 victory over the Reds.

Diaz has picked up right where he left off last season, as he's now hitting .304 and has racked up a trio of multi-hit efforts in his first five games. Diaz's pair of round-trippers Saturday generated his first RBI of the season, and he now has four extra-base hits over the first five contests.

  • Javier Baez SS | DET

Cubs' Javier Baez: Out of lineup Sunday

Baez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Brewers.

Baez checked out fine after an outfield collision with Jason Heyward in the series opener Friday and was back in the lineup for Saturday's game, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in the win. It appears Baez will get Sunday off for little more than rest-related reasons, paving the way for Heyward to join the starting nine.
