  • Trea Turner SS | PHI

Dodgers' Trea Turner: Socks eighth homer

Turner went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs in Wednesday's win against the Angels.

Turner accounted for the Dodgers' final run of the game with his third-inning solo shot off Reid Detmers. The long ball was his eighth of the season and extended his hitting streak to nine games. Over the nine-game stretch, Turner is slashing .314/.368/.571 with three homers, five RBI, seven runs and three stolen bases. The star shortstop had a 26-game hitting streak snapped less than two weeks ago.

  • Orlando Arcia SS | MIN

Braves' Orlando Arcia: Belts third homer

Arcia went 4-for-4 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 8-2 win over the Nationals.

Making his second straight start at the keystone in place of Ozzie Albies (foot), Arcia homered as part of a multi-hit performance for the second straight day, giving him three long balls on the season in 19 contests. The infielder won't keep up that pace, but the last time he held down a regular role in the majors in 2020, the 27-year-old slashed .260/.317/.416 over 59 games for the Brewers with five home runs and 20 RBI.

  • Miguel Rojas SS | LAD

Marlins' Miguel Rojas: Clubs fifth homer

Rojas went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Phillies.

His fifth-inning blast off Kyle Gibson looked like it might be the only offense on the afternoon, until Tanner Scott felt apart in the ninth. Rojas could be building a little momentum at the plate, going 5-for-14 over the last four games with two doubles plus Wednesday's homer, but on the season the veteran shortstop is slashing a sluggish .223/.286/.352 with five long balls, two steals, 16 RBI and 18 runs through 53 contests.

  • Jon Berti 3B | CHC

Marlins' Jon Berti: Swipes two more bags

Berti went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Phillies.

The veteran utility player simply can't be stopped on the basepaths right now. Berti is up to 14 steals on the season, tying him for fourth in the majors with Harrison Bader, but 10 of them have come in June without a caught stealing. Berti has been more than a one-trick pony during his hot streak, slashing .308/.379/.365 on the month with six RBI and nine runs, and while he's been holding down the starting job at third base with Joey Wendle (hamstring) and Brian Anderson (back) currently sidelined, Berti should see regular playing time around the diamond even when the Miami roster is healthy as long as he keeps producing.

  • C.J. Abrams SS | WAS

Padres' CJ Abrams: On fire in minors

Abrams is on a seven-game hitting streak with Triple-A El Paso, slashing .429/.429/.657 with two homers, seven RBI and four stolen bases over that span.

The prized prospect was particularly impressive during a three-game stretch between June 11-14, going 11-for-16 with two homers, six RBI and three thefts. After opening the campaign in the majors with the Padres, Abrams has had some ups-and-downs in the minors, including an early nine-game stretch during which he went 4-for-42 at the plate. However, his overall stat line with El Paso -- he's slashing .310/.360/.500 with six long balls, 27 RBI, 32 runs and nine steals in 27 games -- leaves little doubt about his immense talent. It would be surprising if Abrams didn't return to the Padres at some point this season.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Records second homer

Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI on Wednesday against the Reds.

Perdomo slugged a two-run homer in the second inning to record his second long ball of the season. He drove in another run on a single in the eighth inning to manage his third multi-RBI performance of the campaign. Despite his strong effort, Perdomo is hitting just .224 with 14 RBI and 20 runs scored across 192 plate appearances on the season.

  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Brewers' Willy Adames: Productive in win

Adames went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 10-2 win over the Mets.

Adames did most of his damage in the fifth inning. He opened the frame with a single, scored on a bases-loaded walk by Victor Caratini, and then added a two-run single in his second trip to the plate. With five hits -- including three for extra bases -- in his last three games, Adames is starting to show up on offense more. He's batting .208/.292/.465 with 11 homers, 30 RBI, 28 runs scored, eight doubles and a stolen base through 178 plate appearances this year.

  • Diego Castillo 3B | MIN

Pirates' Diego Castillo: Day off Wednesday

Castillo isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Castillo went 1-for-19 with a homer, two runs, two walks and six strikeouts over the last seven games, and he'll get a breather during Wednesday's series finale against St. Louis. Hoy Park is starting at shortstop and batting ninth.

  • Marco Luciano SS | NYY

Giants' Marco Luciano: Shut down with lower-back strain

The Giants announced Wednesday that Luciano has been diagnosed with a lower-back strain and will be shut down from baseball activities for at least a couple of weeks before resuming workouts, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

High-A Eugene placed Luciano on its 7-day injured list Friday with an injury that was termed as "lower-back tightness," but follow-up tests evidently revealed that the elite prospect strained a muscle. He'll head to the Giants' spring training facility in Arizona to conduct his rehab, and he doesn't look as though he'll be ready to rejoin the High-A lineup until at least July. The 20-year-old infielder was slashing .288/.360/.507 with eight home runs in 164 plate appearances for Eugene before sustaining the injury.

  • Tommy Edman 2B | LAD

Cardinals' Tommy Edman: Clubs seventh homer

Edman went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in a 9-1 win over the Pirates during the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader.

After getting a breather in the matinee, Edman launched the first pitch he saw in the nightcap to right field for a leadoff homer. The infielder remains on pace for a career-best campaign, racking up seven homers, 15 steals, 26 RBI and 51 runs through 62 games to go along with a sharp .285/.359/.434 slash line.
