  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Giants' Willy Adames: Logs stolen base in loss

Adames went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Marlins.

Adames drew a walk in the second inning and stole his first base since May 30. However, the star shortstop failed to record a hit for the third time in his last five contests, during which he has posted a .200/.368/.400 slash line with four runs scored, one home run and a 4:6 BB:K across 19 plate appearances. Adames' struggles at the plate have persisted this month, as he's slashing .203/.301/.391 with 12 runs scored, eight RBI, four home runs, one stolen base and a 26.5 percent strikeout rate in 83 plate appearances during June.

  • Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Scratched with sore shoulder

Bogaerts was scratched from Wednesday's lineup versus the Nationals due to left shoulder soreness.

Bogaerts missed a game earlier this month with the same issue. He's dealing with soreness in the same shoulder that he fractured last season, but the Padres haven't provided any indication at this point that he's had a significant setback. Jose Iglesias will shift over to shortstop for the Padres on Wednesday, and Tyler Wade will enter the lineup at second base.

  • Masyn Winn SS | STL

Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Racks up season-high four RBI

Winn went 2-for-4 with a home run, four RBI, a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-7 victory over the Cubs.

Winn's four RBI established a season high, and it was just the fifth time this year that he ripped multiple extra-base hits. June has been a quiet period so far for the speedy shortstop, who's batting just .216 with five doubles, nine RBI, 15 runs scored and two stolen bases through 88 at-bats this month, but Winn has remained St. Louis' everyday shortstop despite the recent cold spell.

  • Joseph Ortiz SS | MIL

Brewers' Joey Ortiz: Belts two homers

Ortiz went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday's win against Pittsburgh.

Ortiz opened the game's scoring with a two-run shot in the third inning and added a solo blast in the fourth. It was his first long ball since May 23, snapping a 28-game drought. Ortiz has gone 14-for-33 (.424) over his last eight games and now owns a .217/.275/.297 slash line through 78 appearances.

  • C.J. Abrams SS | WAS

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Crosses plate three times in win

Abrams went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Padres.

Facing the team he made his big-league debut with in 2022 after being a first-round pick in 2019, Abrams had another impressive performance from the top of the Nationals' order. The 24-year-old shortstop has seven multi-hit efforts in his last 14 games, a blistering stretch in which he's slashing .368/.455/.596 with three homers, five steals, six RBI and 17 runs scored.

  • Pirates' Isiah Kiner-Falefa: On base twice in win

Kiner-Falefa went 1-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and a walk Monday against the Brewers.

Kiner-Faelfa delivered the game-winning run on an RBI triple in the sixth inning, his first extra-base hit since June 10. He's had a tough month, going 13-for-64 with five RBI, one stolen base and one run scored across 20 games. Despite the struggles, Kiner-Falefa remains the Pirates' everyday shortstop.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Moves to leadoff

Perdomo batted leadoff and went 2-for-4 with two walks, a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 10-0 win over the White Sox.

Perdomo batted leadoff for a second straight game, as the Diamondbacks are without Corbin Carroll (hand), who is expected to be placed on the 10-day injured list. That means Perdomo will likely replace Carroll as the leadoff hitter against right-handers, while Ketel Marte maintains his role atop the order against lefties. Perdomo has experienced a slight downturn during June -- he's batting .190 (15-for-79) with a .624 OPS -- but he's contributed seven extra-base hits, 11 RBI and 12 runs scored over 20 contests.

  • Reds' Elly De La Cruz: Flirts with cycle

De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple, three RBI and two runs scored in Monday's win over the Yankees.

De La Cruz knocked an RBI triple during the Reds' three-run fourth inning and added an RBI single in the fifth. He capped off his big night with a solo shot in the eighth. It was his 18th long ball of the year and sixth in his last 11 contests. De La Cruz has gone 24-for-72 (.333) in June, raising his season slash line to .272/.348/.513 with 35 extra-base hits and 55 RBI.

  • Dansby Swanson SS | CHC

Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Returning to lineup in four spot

Swanson is starting at shortstop and batting fourth in Monday's game against the Cardinals.

After getting his first day off of the season Sunday, Swanson will return to the lineup Monday in St. Louis, and he's in a prime position to produce as the team's cleanup hitter against lefty starter Matthew Liberatore. Over the past three years, Swanson's OPS is 107 points higher when facing southpaws as opposed to righties.

  • Padres' Jose Iglesias: Produces clutch RBI in win Sunday

Iglesias went 1-for-2 with three RBI in Sunday's 3-2 win against the Royals.

Iglesias didn't start but got an opportunity to impact the game upon entering as a pinch hitter for Jake Cronenworth in the seventh inning. Iglesias came through with a two-run single in that frame to tie the score, then notched a walk-off fielder's choice in the ninth. Iglesias endured an 0-for-17 stretch at the plate earlier this month but has one hit in each of his past three games, going 3-for-7 with four RBI during the latter span.
