Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Hits first home run
Correa went 4-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI against the Rangers on Saturday.
Correa had his first big performance of the season, though it surely won't be his last. He continued to show the ability to hit both right-handed and left-handed pitching well, hitting a double off Matt Moore before taking Jesse Chavez deep in the seventh inning. Correa is hitting in the heart of the excellent Astros lineup, so fantasy numbers should keep coming in bunches.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Two more doubles in Friday's win
Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Friday's 1-0 win over the Rays.
He's gotten off to a blistering start, rapping out five hits -- including four doubles -- in two games. Bogaerts actually has an active 11-game hitting streak dating back to last September, and if the 25-year-old has corrected the issues at the plate that prevented him from elevating and driving the ball as much as he needed to last season, he's more than capable of matching or improving on the impressive fantasy numbers he produced in 2016.

Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Records two doubles
Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored Thursday against the Rays.
Bogaerts drove both of his doubles off the wall with authority, one pulled down the left field line and the other hit to straightaway center field. The fact that he drove the ball in the air and with power is an encouraging sign after he ended the 2017 season with a disappointing .130 ISO. After battling a wrist injury in the second half of last season, Bogaerts appears to be healthy as 2018 gets underway.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Belts two home runs on Opening Day
Anderson went 2-for-4 with two home runs in Thursday's win over the Royals, adding three runs and three RBI.
It took just one game for Anderson to surpass his home run total from spring training as he turned in the first multi-home run game of his career. He joined teammate Matt Davidson in the power surge Thursday with Davidson chipping in three long balls of his own. Beyond the impressive results Thursday, it's particularly encouraging that Anderson was able to belt those home runs after dealing with some shoulder issues early in the week. Anderson answered any questions about his health on Opening Day and figures to remain in the lineup Saturday when the White Sox face Ian Kennedy and the Royals.

Adalberto Mondesi SS | BOS
Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: Placed on disabled list
Mondesi (shoulder) was put on the 10-day disabled list prior to Thursday's game, Joel Goldberg of FOX Sports Kansas City reports.
The Royals elected to give Mondesi a little more time to fully recover from a shoulder impingement that he's been dealing with since the second week of March. Expect the infielder to return to the active roster as soon as he's eligible.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Occupying cleanup spot Opening Day
Correa will start at shortstop and bat cleanup in Thursday's opener against the Rangers, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Correa will return to his familiar spot in the heart of the lineup after batting .300 with three home runs and 11 RBI across 60 at-bats during spring training. A thumb injury cost Correa nearly two months last season, but the 23-year-old still finished as one of the top fantasy producers at shortstop with 24 home runs, 84 RBI, 82 runs and a .315 average. With Houston retaining most of its core contributors from last season's run to the World Series, Correa is well positioned to set career highs across all those aforementioned counting-stats categories if he can avoid any extended trips to the disabled list.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Returns to lineup for Opening Day
Anderson (shoulder) will hit seventh and play shortstop for Thursday's season opener against the Royals.
Anderson had been dealing with minor shoulder soreness during the past couple days, but the shortstop doesn't appear to be facing any limitations heading into the beginning of the regular season. In 2017, he slashed .257/.276/.402 with 17 home runs, 56 RBI and 15 stolen bases over 146 appearances.

Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Scratched again Monday
Anderson (shoulder) has been replaced by Tyler Saladino in the lineup for Monday's exhibition game against the Charlotte Knights.
Anderson was originally scratched Sunday with minor shoulder soreness. He was listed in Monday's lineup but has been scratched again with the same shoulder issue. The reports on Sunday indicated that his availability for Opening Day wasn't likely to be threatened. It's possible he's had a setback, but this could just be the team being careful and delaying his return by one more day.

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Back in lineup Monday
Anderson (shoulder) is in the lineup for Monday's exhibition game against the Charlotte Knights.
Anderson was scratched from Sunday's game with minor shoulder soreness, but the issue appears to be very minor as he's already back in the lineup. He should be good to go by Opening Day, barring any setbacks.

Bo Bichette 3B | NYM
Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Opening year in Double-A
Blue Jays president Mark Shapiro said Friday that Bichette will open the 2018 season at Double-A New Hampshire, TSN.ca reports.
He'll be joined in the Eastern League by Vladimir Guerrero Jr., giving New Hampshire the most highly regarded pair of hitting prospects of any affiliate across the minors. While splitting time between Low-A Lansing and High-A Dunedin last season, Bichette captured the minor-league batting title with a .362 average and accumulated 59 extra-base hits (14 home runs) and 22 steals across 499 plate appearances. The 20-year-old will appear in exhibition games with the Blue Jays in Montreal on Monday and Tuesday before reporting to New Hampshire ahead of his second year of full-season ball.
