Mateo is 4-for-15 with a double, a triple, two walks and four runs in the four games he's played for Triple-A Las Vegas since returning from a stay on the 7-day minor-league injured list due to ankle soreness.

The promising shortstop appears to be fully over the ankle issues that put a pause in his stellar season. Even after an 0-for-4 afternoon versus Albuquerque on Sunday -- his first hitless game since returning -- Mateo is slashing .294/.335/.518 across 104 games with the Aviators this season.

Lindor went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in an 8-4 victory against the Yankees on Sunday.

The 25-year-old saw his average dip below .300, but he hit his first homer since Aug. 4. If Lindor can catch fire again in the power category, he could still reach the 30-homer plateau. He's done that each of the last two years, but with his early-season injury during 2019, it would be an even greater accomplishment this summer. He is batting .299 with 21 home runs, 53 RBI, 73 runs and 18 steals in 442 at-bats this season.

Diaz's placement on the 10-day injured list Sunday was the result of him being hospitalized a day earlier after experiencing dizziness and lightheadedness, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Manager AJ Hinch said the Astros will take "every precaution imaginable" with Diaz, but the utility man won't necessarily be in store for a lengthy stay on the IL. He'll be discharged from hospital and return to Houston with the team following Sunday's series finale in Oakland. The Astros recalled reliever Cy Sneed from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move.

Wendle (wrist) went 1-for-4 with a double, two RBI, a walk, a stolen base and a run in High-A Charlotte's win over St. Lucie on Saturday.

Wendle had an eventful rehab debut with the Stone Crabs in what was the second game of his assignment overall. The utility man is set to play for Charlotte again Sunday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports, at which point he'll be reevaluated for a likely move to Triple-A Durham.

Diaz was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday with a suspected foot injury, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

The Astros haven't formally commented on the nature of Diaz's injury, but McTaggart notes that the utility man was in pain after fouling a ball off his foot a few days earlier. Pitcher Cy Sneed was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding move.

Crawford is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Crawford will get his first day off since July 27 while he's endured a rough patch at the plate in recent weeks. Through his first 13 games of August, Crawford has recorded eight hits in 48 at-bats (.167 average) while striking out 27.8 percent of the time. Dee Gordon will fill in at shortstop, but the slick-fielding Crawford is in no danger of losing his everyday role that position even while he slumps at the plate.

Bichette went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in a 4-3 loss to the Mariners on Saturday.

Bichette homered to left field in the fifth inning off Taylor Guilbeau to draw the Blue Jays to within one run at 3-2. He's been highly productive since he was called up last month, slashing .349/.400/.675 with five home runs, 12 doubles, nine RBI and two stolen bases in 19 games.

Velazquez was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Columbus with a hamstring injury.

He returned from a hamstring injury a couple weeks ago, so it seems like he aggravated it. Velazquez, who was traded from Tampa Bay in early July, is versatile defensively but probably won't ever hit enough to be a big-league regular.

Wendle (wrist) will move his rehab to High-A Charlotte on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

A report Friday alluded to Wendle eventually moving his rehab to Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, which is still slated to come to pass if he remains free of setbacks. However, he'll apparently move up his level of competition over the weekend ahead of that transition, jumping up to the Stone Crabs for what's likely to be a pair of appearances. Wendle is expected to need several more rehab games before being ready for activation.

Fletcher went 2-for-5 with a triple and a run scored in Friday's 7-2 loss to the White Sox.

Fletcher's best batting of the night came in the third inning, when he tripled off White Sox starter Lucas Giolito then scored on an infield single by Shohei Ohtani. Fletcher's other hit was a leadoff single in the first inning. The versatile infielder is 11-for-25 with five runs scored and three RBI over his last six games, with five of those hits going for extra bases. The 25-year-old is up to .287/.345/.402 with five homers, four triples and eight steals this year.
