Adames went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the Tigers.

Adames was without an extra-base hit in his previous 32 at-bats, but Tuesday's grand slam was a no-doubter as he hit it 427 feet to left-center field. The 23-year-old is slashing .253/.317/.389 with five home runs, 26 runs scored and 17 RBI in 53 games.

Lindor went 3-for-3 with two home runs, three RBI, a double and a walk in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Twins.

Lindor hit a solo shot in the third inning and had a two-run blast in the fifth to provide all the runs the Indians would need, though the offense still tacked on a pair of insurance runs for good measure. The 25-year-old is crushing the ball lately with a .412 average, three doubles and three home runs in his last nine games.

Wendle (wrist) is working out with High-A Charlotte and could begin a rehab assignment as soon as Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Wendle suffered a fractured right wrist in late April and has recently been ramping up his baseball activities in advance of the rehab stint. The 29-year-old will likely require at least a handful of rehab games before returning to the majors after the month-long layoff.

Crawford (ankle) may begin a rehab assignment over the weekend, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Crawford was spotted taking part in some fielding drills Monday, and he should be in line to embark on a minor-league stint by the weekend. Dee Gordon (wrist) and Ryon Healy (back) are also closing in on a rehab assignment.

The Yankees have selected Smith with the No. 67 overall pick in the 2019 first-year player draft.

A solid, yet unspectacular shortstop from LSU, Smith has a chance to develop into a utility infielder at the highest level -- he was announced as a second baseman on draft night. He is just 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, and is unlikely to develop 20-homer power. He got on base at a .429 clip as a junior, which enabled him to compile 17 steals on 21 attempts, but he is not a plus runner and would need to replicate that OBP to post 15-plus-steal seasons in pro ball. His infield defense and average hit tool could get him to the majors, but he is unlikely to ever be much of a fantasy asset.

Gordon (wrist) is expected to embark on a rehab assignment later in the week, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Gordon progressed to taking swings in the batting cage over the weekend, though the Mariners have no intention of rushing him back from the injured list. He remains without a timetable for a return and will need to get some swings in rehab games prior to his activation.

Crawford (ankle) participated in some fielding drills prior to Monday's game against the Astros, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Crawford reportedly felt good following pregame drills, and skipper Scott Servais stated shortly after that it's possible the shortstop could return to the team sometime during Seattle's upcoming road trip, which runs from June 7 to June 16. Dylan Moore figures to continue seeing time at shortstop until Crawford is activated from the injured list.

Fletcher went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a walk, two runs and an RBI in Sunday's 13-3 win over the Mariners.

Fletcher extended his hitting streak to a season-high 12 games in the blowout win and is batting .429 with a sterling 8:4 BB:K over that span. The 25-year-old hasn't received much of a boost from the elevated 2019 power environment, but his stellar contact skills coupled with his decent speed (five steals in seven attempts) and often-favorable lineup positioning have made him worthy of rostering in the majority of leagues. With the Angels facing another lefty (Jon Lester) in Monday's game against the Cubs, Fletcher will start at shortstop and bat leadoff while normal table setter Tommy La Stella moves into the cleanup spot.

Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a home run, double and another run scored in Sunday's win over the Yankees.

Batting cleanup, Bogaerts homered in the fourth off CC Sabathia and added a leadoff double off reliever David Hale in the eighth to cap another successful night at the plate. The 26-year-old has been a pivotal member of Boston's powerful lineup this season, slashing .305/.386/.550 with 12 home runs, 47 runs scored and 39 RBI.

Gordon (wrist) took swings in the batting cage for a second straight day Saturday and is likely to take full batting practice Monday, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Gordon has successful back-to-back sessions in the cage, so his recovering wrist apparently is holding up well. A full batting practice Monday would represent another step in the right direction for Gordon and likely leave him just a handful of days away from activation.
