Adames went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Astros on Wednesday.

Adames made things interesting in the ninth inning with a 338-foot shot to left that plated Avisail Garcia, bringing the Rays to within two. The 23-year-old has reached safely in seven of his last eight games, and Wednesday's production pushed his August average to an impressive .310 across 94 plate appearances.

Anderson is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins.

Ryan Goins will start at shortstop in the series finale in place of Anderson, who will check out of the lineup for the first time since Aug. 6, when he sat out the back end of a doubleheader with Detroit. While playing in each of the past 20 games, Anderson has enjoyed his most productive stretch since his red-hot April, batting .386 with nine extra-base hits, 17 runs and eight RBI.

Lindor went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, a stolen base and an additional run Wednesday in the Indians' 4-2 win over the Tigers.

The stolen base was Lindor's first since Aug. 8, ending a season-long 17-game streak without a theft. Even as his activity on the basepaths declined, Lindor continued to provide value for fantasy managers with a .278 average, three home runs, 11 runs and nine RBI over that stretch. He'll be back in action for Thursday's series finale, manning shortstop and batting leadoff like he normally does.

Bogaerts went 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double, three RBI, a walk and another run scored in Wednesday's win over the Rockies.

Continuing his breakout campaign, Bogaerts cranked a pair of home runs to tally a career-high 30 homers and reach the 100-RBI plateau for the second straight season. Bogaerts becomes Boston's first shortstop since Nomar Garciaparra in 1998-99 to achieve the 30-100 mark. The round trippers, which were Bogaerts' second and third across the last two games, included a two-run blast off Peter Lambert in the fifth inning followed by a solo shot off Carlos Estevez in the seventh. Meanwhile, it was the seventh career multi-homer game for the 26-year-old, who is slashing .311/.389/.577 with 46 doubles on the campaign.

Wendle went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 15-1 loss to the Astros.

His seventh-inning shot off Brad Peacock was the only offense Tampa could muster on the night, and it was also Wendle's first homer in an injury-plagued campaign. The infielder is slashing only .208/.273/.295 through 48 games, a disappointing follow-up to his impressive rookie campaign in 2018. Due to the Rays' extensive depth in the infield and in recognition of his struggles to stay healthy this season, Wendle is expected to be limited to playing no more than two games in a row the rest of the way, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

Anderson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Twins.

One night after Anderson's 11-game hitting streak was broken, the shortstop launched his 14th home run. He's maintaining a batting average above .300, but the lurking .388 BABIP suggests it could disappear at some point. Anderson is still very much a free swinger who takes aim at 45.1 percent of pitches outside the zone and does not draw many walks.

Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and a walk in Tuesday's win over Colorado.

Bogaerts launched a 435-foot shot to center field for his 28th home run in the fifth inning. He also doubled and scored in the seventh. The 26-year-old ranks third in the majors with 45 doubles this season while slashing .308/.386/.562 in 578 plate appearances.

Correa (back) ran sprints and went through rotational exercises Tuesday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Correa has been out for a week with a sore back. He's expected to advance to hitting, fielding and throwing later this week and could be back with the Astros within two weeks.

Diaz (head) was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Myles Straw was optioned down to clear room for Diaz, who ended up missing the minimum after being briefly hospitalized for dizziness and lightheadedness. Diaz will not immediately slot into the lineup, but with Carlos Correa (back) on the injured list, Diaz will probably be in line for three-to-four starts per week.

Mondesi (shoulder) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Sunday under instructions not to dive in the field or on the bases the rest of the season, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.

Mondesi has been out with a shoulder issue since mid-July. His 31 steals rank second in the league, but he may not add too many more to his total if he's not allowed to dive once he returns.
