  • Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU

Astros' Aledmys Diaz: Filling in at DH

Diaz went 1-for-5 with a walk in Saturday's 11-8 extra-innings loss to the Padres.

Diaz made his second consecutive start as the designated hitter and third overall (he had one start in LF) as the Astros work around injuries to Yordan Alvarez (wrist) and Michael Brantley (hamstring).

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: Slugs eighth homer

Correa went 2-for-4 with a home run, two walks and three total RBI in Saturday's 12-inning loss versus San Diego.

Correa opened the scoring in the contest with a two-run shot to right field in the fourth inning. He later knocked in another run with a double in the 10th, though Houston couldn't secure the victory. Saturday marked the third straight game in which Correa has reached at least three times. He has collected five hits (including two homers) and six walks over that span.

  • J.P. Crawford SS | SEA

Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Blasts second homer

Crawford went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-2 win over Texas.

Crawford led off the seventh with home run to right off Texas starter Mike Foltynewicz to break a 1-1 tie. This was Crawford's second home run in 52 games this year after hitting two in 53 last season, as he obviously isn't much of a power threat.

  • Royals' Adalberto Mondesi: Blasts first home run

Mondesi went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a stolen base during Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Twins.

The 25-year-old took Taylor Rogers deep with a two-run shot during the ninth inning for his first homer of the season, which brought the Royals within a run. Mondesi is 7-for-18 with a home run, three doubles, three RBI and a stolen bases through five games since being activated from the injured list Tuesday.

  • Carlos Correa SS | HOU

Astros' Carlos Correa: On base four times in loss

Correa went 1-for-2 with three walks and a run scored in Friday's 10-3 extra-innings loss to the Padres.

Two of the free passes were intentional, as San Diego elected to go after Chas McCormick and the bottom of the Houston order rather than deal with Correa. It all still counts in OBP leagues though, and over his last 14 games the shortstop is slashing .360/.475/.540 with two homers, seven RBI and 12 runs.

  • Tim Anderson 2B | LAA

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Back in action as expected

Anderson (thumb) will return to the lineup as expected Friday against the Orioles, leading off and playing shortstop.

Anderson missed the last two games due to general soreness, but the White Sox never seemed particularly concerned with the issue. He'd been in a bit of a slump over his last seven games, going 3-for-30 at the plate, but the team will hope he's refreshed and ready to go following the pair of days off.

  • Yu Chang SS | TB

Indians' Yu Chang: Notches first steal

Chang went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in Thursday's 5-2 win over Detroit.

Chang hasn't seen much playing time lately -- he's played in only 12 games in May. The infielder is slashing a meager .149/.183/.209 with no home runs, six RBI, six runs scored and a stolen base through 71 plate appearances. He started at shortstop Thursday in place of Amed Rosario (hand). With another utilityman in Owen Miller on the big-league roster, Chang's path to playing time has gotten a bit more difficult.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Homers in both ends of doubleheader

Bichette went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in a loss to the Yankees in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader.

Bichette played long ball in the matinee and followed up with another homer in the nightcap, his 11th this season. His batting average could use some work (.272), but Bichette is on a 30-homer pace and he's running more than he did his first couple years in the majors. He's a fantasy star with superstar upside.

  • Bo Bichette 3B | NYM

Blue Jays' Bo Bichette: Cranks home run

Bichette went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a 2-0 win over the Yankees in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader.

Bichette followed up Marcus Semien's two-out home run in the third inning with a long shot of his own to increase the Blue Jays' lead to two runs. It was Bichette's 10th homer of the season. The 23-year-old did not strike out for the first time in eight games. He is slashing .274/.319/.498 in 214 plate appearances. Much like Semien, Bichette is a dual power-speed threat, adding seven steals on the season.

  • Tim Anderson 2B | LAA

White Sox's Tim Anderson: Should be back Friday

The White Sox anticipate that Anderson, who is dealing with a sore left thumb in additional to general body soreness, will be ready to rejoin the lineup Friday against the Orioles, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Anderson will be on the bench for the second straight day in Thursday's series opener, but the White Sox appear to be holding him out merely as a precaution. The 27-year-old had been stuck in a 3-for-30 slump over his past seven starts, so the time off should not only help him recover from his minor injuries, but it should also help him refine his approach at the plate.
