Dezenzo went 0-for-4 with a strikeout Tuesday against the Rangers.

Dezenzo had his contract selected from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday and made his big-league debut the same day. He started at designated hitter and batted seventh in the order and could continue to see regular at-bats at a combination of first base and DH for the foreseeable future. Dezenzo's ability to contribute immediately is unclear as he had only 53 plate appearances with Sugar Land, though he has maintained high walk rates paired with some decent pop throughout his time in the minors.

Seager went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Astros.

Seager spoiled Framber Valdez's no-hit bid with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning with his two-run homer. It was Seager's third consecutive game with a home run and his fifth homer over the last five contests. The shortstop has 24 home runs and 57 RBI through 101 games this season.

Schneemann is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against Arizona.

Schneemann will be on the bench for a second consecutive game, missing the starting lineup Tuesday as the Diamondbacks start left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez. Tyler Freeman will shift to shortstop while Lane Thomas fills center field.

The Astros selected Dezenzo's contract from Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Dezenzo will make his MLB debut despite having missed the first two months of the season while recovering from a wrist injury and having appeared in merely 11 games at the Triple-A level. While he doesn't have much experience at the highest level of the minors, Dezenzo was highly impressive at Sugar Land following his promotion from Double-A Corpus Christi in late July. Over 53 plate appearances at Triple-A, Dezenzo slashed .391/.472/.739 with four home runs, three stolen bases and an 18.9 percent strikeout rate. The 24-year-old is capable of playing both corner-infield spots, but with Alex Bregman entrenched at third base, Dezenzo will most likely get his first look at the big-league level at first base and designated hitter.

Schuemann went 1-for-4 with a two-run single in a win over the White Sox on Monday.

The rookie snapped a 1-1 tie in the fourth with his single, which brought home JJ Bleday and Zack Gelof to give the Athletics a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Prior to Monday, Schuemann had gone 11 games without an RBI, a stretch during which he'd hit just .200 overall and a miserable .077 with runners on base. Despite those forgettable numbers, Schuemann may be in the early stages of a resurgence, now having hit safely in three of his past four games.

Pena went 2-for-4 with two RBI on Monday against the Rangers.

Pena had a nine-game hitting streak spanning from July 14 to July 27, during which he hit .412 with six RBI and seven runs scored. He's slumped in eight games since by going just 4-for-30 with a 34.4 percent strikeout rate, though he showed signs of breaking out of that slide with his multi-hit performance Monday. Pena is up to 50 RBI on the season, 14 away from setting a new career high.

Hamilton went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Monday's 9-5 win over Kansas City.

Hamilton made a second consecutive start and could be emerging from a slump. Coming out of the All-Star break, Hamilton went 3-for-33 (.091) over 10 games before given a couple of days off over the weekend. That may have been the cure; Hamilton went 4-for-8 with a double, a home run, two RBI and two steals in starts Sunday and Monday.

Seager went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Astros.

Seager turned on a Ryan Pressly four-seamer in the eighth inning for his fourth home run in the last four games. The blast tied the game at 2-2, setting up the extra frame. Seager's hit well since the All-Star break, posting a line of .313/.375/.578 with five homers, seven RBI and 11 runs scored over 17 games.

Gonzalez went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run against the Royals in Monday's 9-5 victory.

Gonzalez entered the contest in the seventh inning as a pinch hitter for Dominic Smith and promptly smashed a 452-foot, two-run homer to center field. It was his second long ball in his past four contests after he had gone deep just once over his first 98 at-bats this season. Gonzalez's overall slash line of .283/.336/.453 is pretty solid, but he doesn't see the field often enough to be a viable fantasy asset in most formats -- he plays almost exclusively against left-handed pitchers and has started just once over Boston's past seven contests.

Wilson (hamstring) took batting practice Monday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Wilson has been progressing well in his recovery from a strained left hamstring and participated in batting practice for the first time since being placed on the IL on July 21. Still, the Athletics are taking it slow with the 22-year-old, who isn't expected back for multiple weeks.
