Pivetta (11-3) allowed one run on one hit and struck out five without walking a batter over seven innings to earn the win Friday over the Cardinals.

Pivetta retired 12 straight batters to begin the game before Willson Contreras took him deep with a leadoff blast in the fifth inning. That was the only hit Pivetta allowed in one of his most dominant performances of the season. Since and including June 15, he's made nine starts, allowing one run or fewer in six of them while posting a 57:11 K:BB across 56.1 innings. Overall, Pivetta sports a 2.73 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 136:32 K:BB through 128.2 innings across 22 starts. His next start is projected to be at Arizona, facing a team that sold heavily at the trade deadline.

Abel will stay at Triple-A St. Paul after he was acquired from the Phillies, as the Twins want him to continue to work on tweaking his pitches, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Abel was one of Philadelphia's top prospects and was part of the return for closer Jhoan Duran. The Twins don't appear in a rush to bring him back to the majors, though the team has an opening for the fifth-starter role, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him in the majors again this season. The right-hander made six starts for the Phillies this year in his first taste of the majors and had a 5.04 ERA over 25 innings, but he's been dominant at the Triple-A level with a 2.31 ERA and 9.9 K/9 in 13 starts

Bradley will stay at Triple-A St. Paul after he was acquired from the Rays, as the Twins want him to continue to work on tweaking his pitches, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

The Twins don't have a clear fifth starter at the moment, so it's possible Bradley is called up to start Tuesday at Detroit. However, the Twins so far are saying he'll stay in the minors.

Peterson did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Giants, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts over six innings.

Peterson allowed two runs in the second inning but was otherwise strong, throwing 63 of 97 pitches for strikes and limiting the Giants to just one extra-base hit. The 29-year-old has now delivered five straight quality starts, yielding just five earned runs over 31.2 innings during that stretch. He'll take an impressive 2.83 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 105:43 K:BB across 127 frames into a home matchup with the Guardians next week.

Ray did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Mets, allowing one run on four hits and one walk with six strikeouts over seven innings.

Ray cruised through six scoreless frames before surrendering a solo homer in the seventh, leaving with a 3-1 lead that the Giants' bullpen couldn't hold in the eighth. While the veteran southpaw has just one win in his past 10 outings, he's yielded three earned runs or fewer in nine of them to go along with five quality starts. He'll carry a 2.85 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 140:53 K:BB across 136 innings into a road matchup with the Pirates next week.

Nola (ankle/rib) made his first rehab start with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday, allowing three hits and one walk in three scoreless innings. He struck out three.

Nola showed little signs of rust in his first game action since mid-May, pounding the zone for 31 strikes over his 47 pitches. The 32-year-old right-hander is recovering from a sprained ankle and a stress fracture in his rib, and he's likely in line to make another rehab appearance or two before the Phillies consider reinstating him from the injured list. Once Nola is ready to rejoin Philadelphia's rotation, Taijuan Walker will likely revert back to a long-relief role.

Miller (elbow) made his first rehab start with Triple-A Tacoma on Friday, allowing one hit and no walks in four scoreless innings. He struck out six.

Miller mowed down the opposition Friday, pouring in 42 of his 52 pitches for strikes. The 26-year-old right-hander is working his way back from right elbow inflammation, and he's still likely to need another rehab outing or two before the Mariners feel comfortable activating him from the injured list. Miller posted a 5.73 ERA and 1.54 WHIP over 48.2 innings before going down, so he'll be looking to find his footing in 2025 upon his eventual reinstatement.

Brown did not factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Red Sox, allowing one run on four hits and one walk with six strikeouts over seven innings.

Brown opened with six scoreless innings before giving up a run in the seventh, throwing 65 of 97 pitches for strikes while logging his first quality start since July 2. It was a much-needed performance for the 26-year-old, who had allowed 14 earned runs over his previous four outings and hadn't completed five frames in any of his past three. He'll take a 2.47 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 155:39 K:BB across 131 innings into a road matchup with the Marlins next week.

Flaherty did not factor into the decision in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Phillies, allowing one run on two hits and three walks with seven strikeouts over six innings.

Flaherty departed with a 3-0 lead after allowing a leadoff single in the seventh inning, but the inherited runner would come around to score as the Phillies plated three runs in the frame. The 29-year-old generated 15 whiffs on 90 pitches and has now allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven straight outings, a stretch that includes four quality starts. He'll take a 4.36 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 144:47 K:BB across 115.2 innings into a home matchup with the Twins next week.

Suarez did not factor into the decision in Friday's 5-4 win over the Tigers, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks with five strikeouts over seven innings.

Suarez was burned by a three-run homer in the third inning but was otherwise excellent, tossing six scoreless frames and retiring the final 10 batters he faced. The southpaw also didn't issue a walk for the first time since June 1 and has now held opponents to three earned runs or fewer in 14 of 16 outings this season. He'll carry a 2.68 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 95:27 K:BB across 100.2 innings into a home matchup with the Orioles next week.
