Sanchez (7-2) earned the win Wednesday over the Padres, allowing a run on four hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out eight.

Sanchez was stellar again Wednesday as he blanked the Padres for six innings before allowing a lone run on a Jackson Merrill two-out single in the seventh, ending his scoreless streak at 50.2 innings, the fifth longest in MLB history. Sanchez's ERA sits at a league-best 1.46 through 13 starts (86.1 innings) this season with a 1.09 WHIP and a superb 103:17 K:BB. The southpaw's next outing is tentatively scheduled to come on the road next week in Toronto.

Henderson received an injection in his back Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Henderson was placed on the injured list Tuesday with a lower-back strain, and the Brewers anticipate him returning to the rotation sometime in late June or early July. Robert Gasser, Coleman Crow and Shane Drohan have all received starts while the Brewers look for ways to replace Henderson in the rotation.

The Blue Jays acquired Woods Richardson from the Twins on Wednesday in exchange for cash, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.

Minnesota designated Woods Richardson for assignment last weekend after he put up a 7.74 ERA and 1.89 WHIP over 47.2 innings. He'll reclaim a 40-man roster spot upon rejoining the Blue Jays organization, with whom he spent parts of three seasons in the minors. Woods Richardson could fill an immediate need for the big club in the rotation or as a long-relief arm, as the Blue Jays currently have 10 pitchers on the injured list.

Manager Torey Lovullo said Wednesday that Burnes (elbow) has been shut down from throwing after suffering a teres major strain, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.

Burnes has been throwing to live hitters over the past couple of weeks while working his way back from a Tommy John procedure he underwent last June, and he reportedly felt something in his side/shoulder during his last session. The team is hopeful that the 31-year-old righty will still be able to return sometime in September, though a more precise timeline will likely take shape once he's cleared to restart his throwing program.

Kirby (5-5) took the loss Wednesday against the Mets, allowing five runs (four earned) on nine hits and a walk across four innings. He struck out five.

Kirby was decent early, holding New York to one run through his first three frames, but he faded in the fourth, when he allowed four runs on four hits. The loss is Kirby's third in his last four starts -- he's struggled to a 7.29 ERA across 21 innings in that span. Overall, his ERA sits at 4.04 on the year with a 1.28 WHIP and 64:18 K:BB through 13 starts (78 innings). Kirby will look to get back on track in his next outing, tentatively scheduled to come next week in Baltimore.

Peralta (4-4) earned the win Wednesday over the Mariners, allowing a run on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six.

Peralta's day got off to an ominous start, as he surrendered a home run to J.P. Crawford to lead off the bottom of the first inning. However, he'd stop the damage there, blanking Seattle over his final five frames en route to his fourth win this season. It's also Peralta's first quality start in his last four outings -- he had posted a subpar 4.37 ERA across 22.2 innings in his prior four starts. Overall, Peralta's ERA sits at 3.38 with a 1.31 WHIP and 74:30 K:BB across 72 innings this season. He's currently lined up to face the Cardinals at home his next time out.

Bradley (5-2) took the loss Wednesday, giving up four runs on seven hits and five walks over 4.2 innings as the Twins fell 8-0 to the White Sox. He struck out five.

The right-hander managed to get 63 of his 104 pitches into the strike zone, but Bradley's five free passes tied his career-worst mark, which he set as a rookie with the Rays in September 2023. Since coming off the IL on May 23, Bradley has stumbled to a 5.93 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 18:13 K:BB over 13.2 innings, suggesting he may not be 100 percent recovered from the pectoral issue. Prior to the injury, he had a 2.87 ERA and 1.19 WHIP through his first eight starts of the campaign.

Fedde (1-5) picked up the win in Wednesday's 8-0 victory over the Twins, allowing two hits and a walk over five scoreless innings. He struck out two.

The veteran right-hander was lifted after only 61 pitches (40 strikes) with the White Sox ahead 4-0, but Grant Taylor and Chris Murphy worked two innings each to complete the combined shutout. It's Fedde's first win since Aug. 9 of last season when he was with Atlanta, and it's just the second time in six outings since the beginning of May that he's been able to last at least five innings. Fedde will carry a 4.94 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 36:24 K:BB through 58.1 innings into his next trip to the mound, which is set to come at home next week against his former Atlanta teammates.

Meyer (6-0) picked up the win Wednesday in a 4-1 victory over the Nationals, allowing one run on two hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out seven.

A fielder's choice and an Otto Lopez error in the fourth inning produced the only damage against Meyer in a dominant performance. The right-hander tossed 92 pitches (57 strikes) en route to his fourth quality start in his last seven outings, a stretch in which he's delivered a 2.47 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 48:15 K:BB over 43.2 innings. Meyer will look to keep rolling in his next trip to the mound, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Diamondbacks.

The Brewers recalled Gasser from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

He will start Wednesday's game against the Giants. Gasser made a couple starts for the Brewers in May, yielding seven runs (six earned) with a 7:6 K:BB over 8.1 innings of work. The left-hander holds a 3.38 ERA and 38:8 K:BB across 26.2 frames covering seven starts this year at Nashville in his first full season back from Tommy John surgery. Gasser could be sent back down following Wednesday's outing if the Brewers decide Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) is ready to rejoin the rotation next week.
