Urena (knee) is listed as the Angels' probable starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the White Sox in Anaheim.

During his most recent start in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Mets, Urena was lifted from the contest after taking a Bo Bichette comebacker off his right knee in the top of the sixth inning. His early exit looks to have just been precautionary, with manager Kurt Suzuki telling Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com afterward that Urena was diagnosed with a bruise and no other damage. The 22-year-old right-hander was apparently able to complete his between-starts bullpen session without a hitch and should face no limitations Wednesday.

Bassitt didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Marlins, giving up four runs on six hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out three.

Miami tagged the veteran righty for runs in each of the first three frames before Bassitt finally delivered a clean fourth, but he still got the hook after 76 pitches (42 strikes) with Baltimore holding a 7-4 lead. Bassitt has been able to keep the ball in the yard this season, serving up just three homers in 32 innings, but that's about the only positive takeaway from his performance so far. He'll carry a 5.91 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 20:17 K:BB into his next outing, which is set to come at home this weekend against the A's.

Perez will start Wednesday's game against the Mariners in Seattle.

Grant Holmes had initially been listed as Atlanta's starter for Wednesday, but the team will instead pivot to Perez after the veteran southpaw wasn't needed in relief in the first two games of the series. According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, the change doesn't necessarily mean that Perez will be a regular in the rotation moving forward, or that Holmes will be headed to the bullpen on anything more than a short-term basis. Whether he's been used as a starter or reliever, Perez has been excellent this season; he'll take a 2.22 ERA and 0.99 WHIP over 28.1 innings into Wednesday's outing.

Sanchez (3-2) picked up the win Tuesday in a 9-1 rout of the A's, allowing three hits and a walk over eight scoreless innings. He struck out 10.

The southpaw tied his season high in Ks in his best performance of the season, as Sanchez racked up 22 swinging strikes among his 97 pitches (69 total strikes) en route to his fifth quality start of the year. Sanchez has given up more than two runs only once in eight trips to the mound, and he'll take a 2.42 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 60:14 K:BB through 48.1 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Rockies.

Severino (2-3) took the loss Tuesday as the A's were routed 9-1 by the Phillies, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out three.

The veteran right-hander's only real mistake came in the third inning, when Bryce Harper got hold of a hanging sweeper and launched it over the right-field wall, but Severino had no margin for error with Cristopher Sanchez delivering eight scoreless innings for the Phillies. Severino is turning things around after a bumpy beginning to the season, giving up exactly one run in three straight starts, and he'll take a 4.15 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 43:25 K:BB through 43.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Baltimore.

Abbott didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Cubs, allowing four hits and four walks with four strikeouts across 5.2 shutout innings.

Abbott set the Cubs down in order the first three innings, allowing just one single that was erased when Matt Shaw tried stretching it into two bases. Abbott battled his control over his final 2.2 frames, issuing a season-high four walks. He still managed to escape with no damage, throwing his first scoreless outing since Opening Day against Boston. Following a career year in 2025, Abbott owns a 5.13 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and underwhelming 28:19 K:BB over 40.1 innings this season. He's gone six innings just twice in eight starts and is lined up to next face the Astros at home Sunday.

Bello (2-4) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over seven relief innings in a 10-3 rout of the Tigers. He struck out seven.

Working as a bulk reliever for the first time in 2026, the right-hander entered the game to begin the second inning after Jovani Moran had given up two runs as the opener. Bello responded with his best performance of the year, setting new season highs in innings and strikeouts while firing 66 of 94 pitches for strikes. It was a timely bounce-back effort, as Bello's rotation spot appears to be hanging by a thread with Sonny Gray (hamstring) due back Wednesday and Payton Tolle pitching well. Even after Tuesday's strong outing, Bello carries a 7.44 ERA, 1.93 WHIP and 24:16 K:BB through 32.2 innings. He'll need to string together another couple good starts to keep his job, beginning with a trip to the mound at home this weekend against the Rays.

Taillon didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Reds, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with five strikeouts across 5.2 innings.

Both runs allowed by Taillon came on a pair of solo homers by lefties JJ Bleday and Nathaniel Lowe, and Taillon has now surrendered 11 home runs across 40.1 innings this season. Only Zack Littell (13) has allowed more long balls. Taillon threw 100 pitches against Cincinnati but generated just eight whiffs. On the season, he owns a 4.24 ERA and 36:14 K:BB over seven starts. A flyball pitcher, Taillon is also giving up plenty of hard contact, while his 6.02 FIP suggests he's been lucky. Taillon's 91.7 mph fastball velocity is a career-low mark.

DeGrom (2-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Yankees, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out seven over 6.1 innings.

DeGrom was hit hard early, surrendering three runs over the first two innings, including a two-run homer off the bat of Ryan McMahon. He later gave up another long ball to Jazz Chisholm in the sixth as New York continued to square him up. The six runs and two homers allowed were both season highs for the veteran right-hander, though he also recorded an out in the seventh inning for the first time this year. Prior to Tuesday, deGrom had allowed just four runs across his previous five starts. Fantasy managers can still take comfort in the strikeout production, as he recorded seven punchouts for the fourth time in seven starts this season. DeGrom now owns a 3.11 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 47:8 K:BB across 37.2 innings and is tentatively scheduled to face the Cubs this weekend.

Cavalli (1-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Twins, allowing six runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out two over four innings.

Cavalli unraveled in the fourth inning, when he threw 40 pitches and struggled badly with his command. The right-hander opened the frame yielding a single and issuing back-to-back walks to load the bases before mishandling a weak grounder from Brooks Lee, allowing a run to score on the error. Later in the inning, Trevor Larnach delivered a two-run double that extended Minnesota's lead. Entering Tuesday, Cavalli had limited opponents to two or fewer earned runs in six of his seven starts and had struck out 10 batters in each of his previous two outings. He now owns a 4.15 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and a 40:17 K:BB across 34.2 innings and is set to face Miami in his next scheduled start.
