Lugo (9-2) took the loss to the Yankees on Monday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk with four strikeouts over seven innings.

Lugo had two rough innings, surrendering three hits and two runs in both the first and fourth frames. While all eight hits allowed in the game were singles, he only generated seven swinging strikes on 101 pitches. Lugo has now given up nine runs combined in two June starts after only yielding nine in the entire month of May, but his opponents in those two outings currently rank second and seventh in runs scored this season. Lugo still owns a 2.36 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 75:20 K:BB in 14 starts and lines up against the Dodgers, who rank fourth in runs scored in 2024, on Saturday.

Rodon (9-2) earned the win against the Royals on Monday, allowing one run on five hits and no walks with three strikeouts over seven innings.

Rodon cruised through the majority of the game, with a two-out RBI single by Freddy Fermin in the seventh inning being his only blemish. While Rodon only struck out three, he generated 14 swinging strikes and didn't allow any extra-base hits. Each of Rodon's seven consecutive wins have also been quality starts, and he has now completed at least six innings in 10 of his 14 outings. He owns a 2.93 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 74:20 K:BB on the season and will look to continue his win streak against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Hudson (2-8) took the loss Monday against the Twins, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks over 6.2 innings. He struck out one.

Despite suffering his eighth loss, Hudson earned his fourth quality start of the season, marking the third in his last four appearances. Over those four outings, the Colorado right-hander has tossed a 3.00 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 10:8 K:BB in 24 innings. Hudson now sports a 4.87 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 36:35 K:BB in 68.1 total innings this season. The 29-year-old is currently scheduled to make his next start against the Pirates at home this weekend.

Varland will be recalled from Triple-A St. Paul to start Tuesday's game against the Rockies, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

The Twins will promote Varland to the big leagues for a spot start as the club aims to give the rotation an extra day of rest, per Gleeman. Diego Castillo is set to be optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Varland has struggled in four starts for Minnesota this season, posting a 9.18 ERA and 2.16 WHIP with an 18:9 K:BB across 16.2 innings.

Paddack (5-3) earned the win Monday against the Rockies, yielding six hits and no walks over 6.1 scoreless innings. He struck out six.

After struggling with a 6.51 ERA over his last five starts, Paddack cashed in on the opportunity to pitch against Colorado, firing his first scoreless appearance since May 3. The Twins right-hander generated 13 whiffs to collect his six punchouts, reaching that mark for the sixth time this season. Overall, Paddack now sports a 4.79 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 67:14 K:BB over 71.1 innings. The 28-year-old is slated to face Oakland at home this weekend in his next start.

Pepiot (4-3) took the loss Monday against Baltimore, allowing four runs on nine hits and no walks over six innings. He struck out nine.

Pepiot struggled to contain an imposing Orioles lineup, allowing a career-high nine hits. However, it wasn't all bad for the Rays righty as he generated an impressive 16 whiffs en route to nine strikeouts. Following this four-run appearance, Pepiot has thrown a 4.17 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 68:16 K:BB over 58.1 innings this season. The 26-year-old faces another difficult test in his next start, scheduled to be at Atlanta this weekend.

May (elbow) has been throwing at the Dodgers' complex in Arizona and has topped 90 mph on his fastball, per the Associated Press.

May continues to recover from the surgery he underwent on his right flexor tendon and UCL last July. He began throwing off a mound in mid-May, and based on the recent update about his velocity, appears to be progressing well. When healthy, May's fastball typically rests in the upper-90s, so he still has a way to go before returning to his full velocity. That said, there's a chance he could be ready to return to the Dodgers in the latter half of July if he continues to progress without any setbacks.

The Dodgers may be leaning toward having Miller (shoulder) make another rehab start in the minors, per MLB.com.

In Miller's most recent rehab outing with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, he worked four-plus innings and threw 85 pitches while sitting at 97-to-98 mph on his fastball. There had been talk of that appearance being the right-hander's final one in the minors before his return to the Dodgers' rotation, but it appears the organization may instead want him to get in one more rehab start. Miller said after Friday's appearance that he felt healthy, so an additional minor-league outing appears to be less about his health and more about his effectiveness -- he's posted a 6.97 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 6:5 K:BB over 10.1 innings during his rehab stint thus far. The Dodgers begin a stretch Tuesday during which they play on 13 consecutive days, so it stands to reason that if Miller doesn't have any setbacks, he'll be back in the majors sometime during that span.

Burnes (7-2) earned the win Monday against the Rays, allowing two unearned runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out six.

Burnes dazzled in the series finale, shutting down Tampa Bay to collect his ninth consecutive quality start and 11th overall. The only blemish on the 29-year-old's evening was a two-run homer yielded to Alex Jackson that drove in a pair of unearned runs. Overall, Burnes now sports a 2.08 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 82:22 K:BB in 86.2 innings while being tied for the league lead in quality starts. The Baltimore ace is currently scheduled to make his next start against the Phillies at home this weekend.

Snell (groin) is scheduled to throw off the mound later this week, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Snell landed on the injured list due to a mild left groin strain he sustained June 2 against the Yankees. He recently began throwing off flat ground, and the 31-year-old southpaw will take the next step in his rehab by throwing off a mound. Snell started in six games prior to his groin injury, going 0-3 with a 9.51 ERA, 1.94 WHIP and 31:14 K:BB over 23.2 innings.
