Arrighetti allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out six batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against San Francisco on Monday.

Arrighetti held the Giants scoreless through five frames and retired the first two batters he faced in the sixth before a walk and a run-scoring triple ended his outing. He fell just short of a quality start but nonetheless impressed in a battle with Giants rookie Kyle Harrison. Arrighetti did struggle a bit with his control again -- he's walked exactly three batters in each of his past four contests and is fifth-worst among qualified starters with a 12.1 percent walk rate on the campaign. The right-hander has put up respectable overall numbers of late, though, posting a 3.19 ERA and 36:16 K:BB over 31 innings across his past six starts.

Harrison allowed one run on four hits and no walks while striking out three batters over 6.1 innings in a no-decision against Houston on Monday.

Harrison had just nine whiffs and three punchouts in the outing, but he kept the Astros off the scoreboard until the seventh frame. The left-handed hurler finished with his second straight quality start and allowed fewer than three runs for the first time since May 7. Harrison hasn't given up more than four earned runs in any of his 14 starts this season, though, helping him maintain a respectable 3.96 ERA despite a mediocre 1.33 WHIP and 68:22 K:BB across 77.1 innings.

Estes (2-2) took the loss against San Diego on Monday, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

Estes managed to get through two scoreless frames but gave up one run in each of his final three innings. Two of the tallies came on solo homers -- one by Jake Cronenworth and the other by Fernando Tatis. Estes had allowed just one run on three hits over 11.1 frames across his previous two starts coming into Monday, and he's allowed one or zero runs in half of his six MLB starts so far this season. That should give him plenty of buffer room in holding onto a big-league starting role, especially considering the injuries that have hit the Athletics' rotation.

Cease (6-5) earned the win over Oakland on Monday, allowing one run on eight hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over six innings.

Cease surrendered a solo homer to Tyler Soderstrom in the second inning, but that was the only run the A's managed to score against him. The right-handed hurler racked up 15 whiffs among his 104 pitches and gave up fewer than three runs for the first time since May 8. Cease entered Monday with a 5.86 ERA over his previous five starts, and he went 0-3 during that span. However, he still holds a solid 3.36 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 101:23 K:BB over 83 innings on the season.

Fedde allowed one run on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Monday.

Fedde was brilliant through seven scoreless frames before Dominic Canzone tagged him for a solo homer leading off the eighth. That spelled the end of Fedde's outing, but he departed in line for the victory with a 4-1 lead. However, Michael Kopech entered and gave up three runs, wiping out the advantage and forcing Fedde to settle for a no-decision. Despite the late letdown, this was nice bounce-back for the right-hander after he gave up seven earned runs across 10 innings over his previous two starts. He's in the midst of a career-best campaign with a 3.10 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 77:23 K:BB through 81.1 frames.

Gilbert allowed three runs on six hits and no walks while striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Monday.

Gilbert got through five scoreless frames before Luis Robert tagged him for a two-run homer in the sixth. The righty hurler returned for the seventh and gave up another run on a pair of hits before being pulled with two outs. Though he faded over his final two innings, Gilbert tied his second-highest strikeout total of the campaign and finished with his fifth quality start over his past six outings. However, he hasn't earned any victories over that stretch despite posting a solid 3.52 ERA.

Berrios (5-5) took the loss to the Brewers on Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk with four strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Berrios surrendered solo home runs to Jackson Chourio and Willy Adames in the third and fourth innings then allowed another run on a sacrifice fly by Adames in the sixth. Berrios was bidding for his sixth straight quality start but labored through the sixth and left the game with two outs after throwing 105 pitches in the contest. Despite faltering late, Berrios has now logged a quality start in 11 of 14 outings and owns a 2.93 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 64:22 K:BB this season. He lines up for his second start of the week against the Guardians on Sunday.

Rea (5-2) earned the win against the Blue Jays on Monday, allowing one run on three hits and no walks with four strikeouts over seven innings.

Rea allowed a solo home run to Alejandro Kirk in the third inning then needed just 85 pitches to complete seven frames for the first time this season. After throwing four scoreless innings in bulk relief last week, this marked the most innings Rea has pitched in a major league game since 2016. While Rea has alternated starts with bulk relief appearances in his past four outings, he has gone 2-0 and yielded just four runs over 22 innings during that stretch. On the season, he owns a 3.31 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 48:23 K:BB in 11 starts and two relief outings.

The Brewers will select Rodriguez's contract from Triple-A Nashville to start Tuesday against Toronto, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The club hinted late last week at a potential promotion for Rodriguez, and skipper Pat Murphy confirmed Monday night that the 22-year-old will indeed make his MLB debut Tuesday. Rodriguez has a 2.68 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 47:11 K:BB in 40.1 innings over his last seven starts after a rough start to the Triple-A season. With news surfacing Monday that southpaw Robert Gasser is weighing UCL surgery, Milwaukee is yet again in need of starting pitching, so it wouldn't be a shock to see Rodriguez get multiple opportunities as a starter in the big leagues this season.

Lugo (9-2) took the loss to the Yankees on Monday, allowing four runs on eight hits and one walk with four strikeouts over seven innings.

Lugo had two rough innings, surrendering three hits and two runs in both the first and fourth frames. While all eight hits allowed in the game were singles, he only generated seven swinging strikes on 101 pitches. Lugo has now given up nine runs combined in two June starts after only yielding nine in the entire month of May, but his opponents in those two outings currently rank second and seventh in runs scored this season. Lugo still owns a 2.36 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 75:20 K:BB in 14 starts and lines up against the Dodgers, who rank fourth in runs scored in 2024, on Saturday.
