Whisenhunt (2-2) allowed six runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out three over 3.1 innings to take the loss versus the Padres on Friday.

Whisenhunt has given up 10 runs over 8.1 innings since returning to the Giants' rotation. The southpaw would have had a tough time winning Friday even with a better performance -- the Giants mustered a mere three baserunners in the whole game. Whisenhunt is now at a 6.63 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 16:12 K:BB through 19 innings over four starts in the majors this season. He looks to be in position to gain big-league experience down the stretch -- he's tentatively lined up for a road start versus the Rangers his next time out.

Brown (3-1) earned the win against the Rangers on Friday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Brown opened with five scoreless innings before allowing two runs in the sixth, falling one out shy of a quality start on a season-high 104 pitches. The 27-year-old generated only nine whiffs but yielded just four hard-hit balls en route to his second straight victory. He owns a 3.42 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 55:30 K:BB across 52.2 innings this season and lines up for a home matchup with the Blue Jays next week.

Senga (0-8) took the loss against the Marlins on Friday, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks while striking out four across four-plus innings.

Senga was thrust into the starting role Friday after Freddy Peralta was scratched ahead of Monday's trade deadline. Senga retired 11 of the first 12 batters he faced, but the script flipped in the fifth after he allowed the first three batters of the frame to reach base, which resulted in the veteran right-hander being tagged for three runs, and eventually, the loss. Senga has not been credited with a win since June 12, 2025 against the Nationals, and for the 2026 season, he has an 8.66 ERA and 1.77 WHIP over 44.2 innings. Senga could still see some starts over the final two months of the season depending on what the Mets do with their rotation before the deadline.

Eovaldi (10-9) took the loss against the Astros on Friday, allowing six runs on 10 hits and one walk with five strikeouts over five innings.

Eovaldi threw 60 of 94 pitches for strikes with a respectable 14 whiffs, but he allowed two homers and 12 hard-hit balls overall. It ended an underwhelming July for the veteran hurler, who posted a 5.67 ERA over five starts while yielding three earned runs or more in four of them. He'll take a 4.31 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 135:30 K:BB across 127.1 innings this season into a home matchup with the Giants next week.

Junk (5-6) earned the win against the Mets on Friday, allowing one unearned run on three hits and two walks while striking out four across five innings.

The lone run Junk gave up in the fifth inning was unearned due to a fielding error by Kyle Stowers, and it was the first time since April 28 against the Dodgers that Junk did not yield an earned run in a start. The right-hander is one win shy from matching his total from 2025 and sits at a 4.58 ERA and 1.33 WHIP across 78.2 innings this season. Junk is lined up to face Atlanta on the road next week.

The Orioles traded Kremer to the Twins on Friday in exchange for minor-league outfielder Jhomnardo Reyes, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Kremer has been lit up in his last two starts, coughing up 14 earned runs in just 10 innings to raise his ERA to 6.50 through 36 frames (seven starts). Now in Minnesota, he figures to claim a spot in the Twins' rotation but could be at risk of moving to the bullpen if his performance doesn't improve.

Fedde (6-6) earned the win against the Rays on Friday, allowing one run on four hits while striking out six across five innings. He did not issue a walk.

Fedde generated only four whiffs and three groundouts on 91 pitches Friday, but he kept the Rays in check outside of a solo homer from Junior Caminero in the fourth inning. It was the first time since July 5 that Fedde completed five frames, and the veteran right-hander sports a 4.13 ERA and 1.37 WHIP over 102.1 innings this season. He's slated to take on the Red Sox next week at Fenway Park.

Elder (7-6) earned the win against the Nationals on Friday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts over six innings.

Elder allowed a solo homer in the fourth inning but otherwise kept the Nationals' potent lineup at bay despite throwing just 52 of 93 pitches for strikes with only six whiffs. After posting a bloated 8.10 ERA in June, the 27-year-old rebounded with a 3.00 mark and two quality starts over four July outings. He'll carry a 3.84 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 101:40 K:BB across 119.2 innings this season into a home matchup with the Marlins next week.

Martinez (10-3) took the loss against the White Sox on Friday, allowing six runs on seven hits while striking out two across six innings. He did not issue a walk.

Martinez had not allowed a home run in two starts prior to Friday's outing. However, that trend did not continue against the White Sox, as the four homers Martinez allowed established a career-worst mark that resulted in all six of Chicago's runs. The right-hander's streak of allowing two earned runs or fewer ended at five games, but he still has stellar numbers for the year with a 2.77 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over 123.1 innings. Martinez is slated to face the Rockies on the road next week.

Griffin (12-3) took the loss against Atlanta on Friday, allowing six runs on nine hits and two walks with three strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Four of the six runs charged to Griffin came via the long ball, and he allowed 10 hard-hit balls overall. It ended a streak of 11 straight starts yielding three earned runs or fewer for the southpaw, who has now recorded just 18 punchouts over his past five outings. Griffin owns a 3.06 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 116:30 K:BB across 129.1 innings this season and lines up for a road matchup with the Phillies next week, though he could potentially be traded with Monday's deadline approaching.
