Dobbins (2-0) earned the win Friday against the White Sox after allowing two runs on four hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out six.

The rookie right-hander capitalized on a soft matchup against a hapless White Sox lineup, throwing three spotless innings to begin the game. Andrew Benintendi led off the fourth with a solo home run, and Joshua Palacios managed to scratch another run across on a groundout in the sixth, but it was smooth sailing for Dobbins otherwise. It's unclear if Dobbins will stick in Boston's rotation following Friday's outing, as it appears Brayan Bello's (shoulder) return is near, but Dobbins has a promising 2.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 11:2 K:BB over the first 11 innings of his major-league career.

Wheeler (2-1) earned the win against the Marlins on Friday, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out 13 in seven innings. He did not issue a walk.

Wheeler needed only 96 pitches (69 strikes) to make it through seven innings while generating 20 whiffs. The only blemish came in the sixth inning, when he gave up a two-run homer to Eric Wagaman, but Wheeler rebounded in the seventh by striking out the side. It was the second time Wheeler has fanned 10 batters or more in game this season, and his 13 strikeouts were the second most of his major-league career. He leads the National League with 41 strikeouts and is second in the majors behind Cole Ragans (42). Wheeler is lined up to face the Mets at Citi Field next week, where he'll look to earn a second straight win.

Alcantara (2-1) took the loss against the Phillies on Friday, allowing six runs on four hits and two walks while striking out one in two innings.

Alcantara put the Marlins on their back foot when he gave up a two-run homer to Bryce Harper in the first inning. Alcantara yielded four more runs in the second frame, and he did not return for the third inning after tossing 61 pitches (40 strikes) while generating only five whiffs. Friday's effort inflated Alcantara's ERA to 7.27 for the season, and he'll look to turn things around in his next start, tentatively slated for next week at home against the Reds.

Burnes didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 13-11 loss to the Cubs, allowing two runs on six hits while striking out three batters across six innings. He did not issue a walk.

Burnes put the Diamondbacks in an early hole by giving up a double to Pete Crow-Armstrong followed by a Carson Kelly home run in the second inning. Fortunately for Burnes (and fantasy managers), those were the only two runs he conceded Friday, as he managed to avoid the 11-run outburst the Cubs' offense would enjoy across the seventh and eighth frames. The 30-year-old righty was without his typical strikeout stuff yet again and now has fanned just nine batters over 17 innings across his last three starts. He'll look to recapture his previous form during his next start when the D-backs return home to take on the Rays.

Perez was removed from his start Friday against the Red Sox due to left forearm soreness.

Perez made it through just three innings before his forearm forced him out of the game. The White Sox will presumably take a closer look at the 34-year-old southpaw to determine whether he suffered any structural damage during his outing Friday, but he can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

The Dodgers transferred Henriquez (foot) to the 60-day injured list Friday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The move makes room on the Dodgers' roster for Eddie Rosario, who is with the team in Texas while Shohei Ohtani (paternity) is back in Los Angeles. Henriquez is working through a metatarsal injury in his left foot, which caused him to be placed on the 15-day IL to begin the season. His move to the 60-day IL means he won't be eligible to be activated until mid-May.

Manager Aaron Boone said Friday that Stroman (knee) has begun playing catch, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Stroman received a cortisone shot over the weekend to address the inflammation in his left knee, and Friday appears to be the first time he's done any sort of throwing since he landed on the injured list Saturday. There's still no telling how much time the 33-year-old will need for a full recovery, though the Yankees may not be in much of a hurry to bring him back after he began the year with an 11.57 ERA and 2.04 WHIP across 9.1 innings over his first three starts.

Woodruff (shoulder) continued his rehab assignment Friday with Single-A Wisconsin and allowed three runs on six hits with three strikeouts and three walks over four innings, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The 32-year-old tossed 66 pitches over 3.2 frames in his first rehab outing last weekend, and he didn't significantly add to his workload Friday with 68 pitches. Still, more game action is encouraging for Woodruff, who has been sidelined since undergoing shoulder surgery in September of 2023. The right-hander will likely require at least one more start in the minors before making his season debut with Milwaukee.

Crawford (knee) threw an "up-and-down" bullpen session Friday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Crawford's next step is expected to be a live batting practice session, which would be his first time facing hitters since he was diagnosed with right patellar tendinopathy. There is still no timetable for Crawford's return to the Boston rotation, but a rehab assignment shouldn't be too far off.

Manager Brandon Hyde said Friday that Rodriguez (elbow/shoulder) will receive a second opinion after getting MRI results back, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

The imaging results haven't been disclosed, but it could be an ominous sign that Rodriguez is immediately looking for a second opinion. The right-hander was rehabbing from elbow/triceps inflammation before experiencing soreness in his right shoulder Thursday, which prompted the MRI.
