Anthony Eyanson SP | BOS
Red Sox's Anthony Eyanson: Dominant start at Greenville
Eyanson did not allow a hit and struck out seven over 4.1 scoreless innings for High-A Greenville on Saturday.
Eyanson was brilliant in his second pro start, setting down all 13 batters he faced. The 21-year-old right-hander has allowed one run and three hits while recording 13 strikeouts over 7.1 innings (16.5 K/9) to begin the year. Since being drafted out of LSU in 2025, Eyanson's fastball velocity has increased, per Brendan Samson of MLB.com. After averaging 92-94 mph in college, one of his four-seamers touched 100.2 mph during the Spring Breakout game in March.

Drew Rasmussen SP | TB
Rays' Drew Rasmussen: Activated ahead of start
The Rays reinstated Rasmussen (personal) from the family medical emergency list ahead of his scheduled start Sunday against the Yankees at Tropicana Field.
Rasmussen will be returning to the hill for his third start of the season and his first appearance since April 1. He had been previously been scheduled to start this past Tuesday against the Cubs, but he was scratched due to the imminent birth of his child. The Rays then placed Rasmussen on the paternity list before transferring him to the FME list Saturday, but he'll now be ready to pitch as Tampa Bay goes for a sweep of the Yankees. Tampa Bay optioned lefty Joe Rock to Triple-A Durham in order to reopen a spot on the 26-man active roster for Rasmussen.

Hunter Gaddis SP | CLE
Guardians' Hunter Gaddis: Activation imminent
Gaddis (forearm) recently returned from his rehab assignment at Triple-A Columbus and joined the Guardians for their road trip in Atlanta, signaling that he could soon be activated from the 15-day injured list, MLB.com reports.
Gaddis made five appearances during his assignment with Columbus, covering 4.1 innings while allowing five earned runs on six hits and three walks. If the Guardians opt not to activate Gaddis this weekend, he could return to action during the team's three-game road series in St. Louis that begins Monday.

Edward Cabrera SP | CHC
Cubs' Edward Cabrera: Limits damage in no-decision
Cabrera came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 4-3 extra-innings loss to the Pirates, giving up three runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out four.
Things could have been much worse for the right-hander, as Pittsburgh also went 4-for-4 on stolen-base attempts against Cabrera and had runners in scoring position in every frame he was on the mound. He still exited the game after 98 pitches (62 strikes) in line for his first loss of the season, before the Cubs forced extras in the ninth against Dennis Santana. Cabrera will take a 1.62 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 13:9 K:BB through 16.2 innings into his next outing, which is set to come at home next weekend against the Mets.

Casey Mize SP | DET
Tigers' Casey Mize: Sharp in first win of 2026
Mize (1-1) recorded the win in Saturday's 6-1 victory over the Marlins, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.
The right-hander tossed 48 of 74 pitches for strikes before being lifted with two outs in the sixth inning and runners on second and third, leaving Mize just short of his second quality start of the season. He'll take a 3.94 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB through 16 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next weekend in Boston.

Lance McCullers SP | HOU
Astros' Lance McCullers: Sputters against Seattle
McCullers allowed six runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four batters over 4.1 innings in a no-decision against the Mariners on Saturday.
McCullers fell behind quickly when Cal Raleigh tagged him for a two-run homer in the first inning. Houston stormed back for seven runs across the second through fourth frames, but McCullers was unable to make it out of the fifth and give himself a chance at a win. In that inning, he gave up three hits and three walks and was charged with four runs while retiring just one batter. After opening eyes with seven innings of one-run ball and tallying nine strikeouts in his season debut March 30 against the Red Sox, McCullers has yielded nine runs with a modest 8:5 K:BB across 8.1 frames over his past two starts. He next lines up for a home matchup against St. Louis.

Luis Castillo SP | SEA
Mariners' Luis Castillo: Ineffective again Sunday
Castillo allowed seven runs on 10 hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 3.1 innings in a no-decision against Houston on Saturday.
The Mariners gave Castillo a two-run lead in the first inning, but the veteran hurler fell behind when Taylor Trammell cleared the bases with a three-run double in the second. Castillo gave up three more runs in the third and another in the fourth before being pulled with one out in the latter frame. After tossing six scoreless innings against the Yankees in his first start of the campaign, Castillo has surrendered 11 runs (10 earned) over seven frames across his past two outings. He'll try to get back on track in his next start, which lines up to be a road outing in San Diego.

Emmet Sheehan SP | LAD
Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Registers win, quality start
Sheehan (2-0) earned the win over Texas on Saturday, pitching six innings and allowing three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six batters.
Things didn't start out promisingly for Sheehan, as he served up a homer to Brandon Nimmo to begin the game. Nimmo added another homer -- this time a two-run shot -- off Sheehan in the sixth, but that wasn't enough to prevent the right-hander from logging a quality start and finishing with the victory. Sheehan has allowed four homers and 11 total earned runs through 15 innings for a 6.60 ERA, but he has two wins under his belt and doesn't seem to be at any risk of losing his starting role in the near future. He's projected to next face the Rockies in Colorado.

Ryan Feltner SP | COL
Rockies' Ryan Feltner: Pummeled by Padres
Feltner (1-1) allowed six runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out four batters over four innings in a loss to San Diego on Saturday.
Colorado gave Feltner an early 4-0 lead, but the right-hander couldn't hold it. He yielded three runs in the third inning -- two of which came on a Manny Machado homer -- and another three in the fourth on a Ramon Laureano blast. Feltner's ERA increased to an ugly 7.30 as a result of the blowup, though this was his first loss. He fired three scoreless frames in his first start of the year but has given up 10 runs over his past two outings. Things aren't slated to get any easier for Feltner, as his next start is projected to come against the Dodgers in Colorado.

German Marquez SP | SD
Padres' German Marquez: Nabs win against former club
Marquez (2-1) earned the win over Colorado on Saturday, allowing four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five batters over five innings.
Marquez was far from sharp, especially in terms of allowing the long ball -- the Rockies knocked three homers against him. However, he pitched just well enough (and just deep enough) to pick up his second straight victory thanks to a breakout performance by San Diego's offense. Marquez tossed five scoreless frames in his previous start April 6 versus Pittsburgh, but in his other two outings he's allowed a combined eight runs (including five homers) across eight innings. He's projected to next take the mound on the road against the Angels.
