Wacha (2-4) grabbed the win Wednesday against the White Sox after allowing three hits and one walk in seven scoreless innings. He struck out five.

It was one of the finest efforts of the season for Wacha, who tossed a season-high seven innings. While the right-hander has fanned more than five just once among his eight starts, Wednesday marked his third straight quality start and second scoreless outing during this stretch. Despite his lack of overpowering stuff, Wacha has surrendered just two home runs this season. He boasts a 2.98 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 34:14 K:BB over 45.1 innings ahead of his next scheduled appearance, which tentatively lines up against the Astros next week.

Houck did not factor into the decision against the Rangers on Thursday, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out two over 4.2 innings.

Houck got through the first two innings with relative ease, but he proceeded to give up one run in each of the next three innings, highlighted by a solo home run from Adolis Garcia in the fourth frame. Houck generated eight whiffs on 89 pitches (55 strikes), but he wasn't able to make it out of the fifth inning for the third time this season. He has a 3.57 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 21:5 K:BB in 22.2 innings across four starts since giving up 11 earned runs against the Rays on April 14. Houck is slated to start against the Tigers on the road next week, when he'll look to register his first win of the season.

Cannon (2-4) took the loss Wednesday against the Royals after allowing two runs on nine hits and no walks in 5.1 innings. He struck out one.

Cannon certainly didn't overwhelm the opposition, as he tied season worsts with nine hits allowed and one punchout, but he still managed to deliver his second consecutive quality start. While the right-hander has yielded a staggering 18 hits over his past two outings, that hasn't stopped him from throwing six innings of two-run ball in both appearances. Cannon hasn't lent a free pass in either of these starts. He'll still be tough to trust for fantasy purposes in his next scheduled start against the Reds at hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park, where he'll enter with a 4.09 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 33:17 K:BB across 44 innings.

Holmes (2-3) took the loss Wednesday against the Reds after allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk in 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

After setting a career high with nine punchouts in his last start, Holmes wasn't nearly as effective Wednesday. Although his one walk marked a season low among his seven starts, the right-hander surrendered a season-high seven hits and gave up greater than three runs for the third time this year. Holmes has also conceded six home runs over his past three outings. He'll take a pedestrian 4.58 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 40:20 K:BB across 39.1 innings in 2025 into his next scheduled start, currently set to come versus the Nationals next week.

Baz (3-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Phillies after allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks in 3.1 innings. He struck out three.

After giving up a season-high seven runs on nine hits in his last start, Baz struggled mightily once again. Wednesday matched his shortest outing of the season, and the right-hander has now yielded five runs or greater in three of his last four appearances. During this stretch, Baz has a 8.38 ERA and 13:10 K:BB over 19.1 innings. He'll look to get back on track in his next scheduled start against the Blue Jays, who have a weak .643 OPS against right-handed pitching through 35 games.

Sanchez (4-1) grabbed the win Wednesday against the Rays after allowing one hit and three walks in six scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Sanchez was brilliant, yielding just a Junior Caminero single in the first inning and then keeping the Rays out of the hit column for the rest of his outing. Although he generated a middling eight whiffs and tied a season high with three walks, the left-hander kept Tampa Bay guessing by inducing a whopping 11 groundouts to only one flyout. Sanchez hasn't given up a home run in any of his last three starts after serving up four in his first four outings of the year. He'll bring a strong 2.89 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 44:14 K:BB over 37.1 innings into his next scheduled appearance versus the Cardinals, which lines up for next week.

Knack (2-0) earned the win against the Marlins on Wednesday, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out five across five scoreless innings.

Knack was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City ahead of Wednesday's start. He ended up completing five frames for the first time in four big-league appearances (three starts) this year while tossing 75 pitches (49 strikes) and generating nine whiffs. Knack now has a 4.61 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 12:7 K:BB across 13.2 innings, and he could stick around with the big club as a spot starter or bulk reliever.

Cease was pulled from his start Wednesday against the Yankees due to an apparent injury, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

Cease took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, but his night quickly changed after he allowed a game-tying home run to Cody Bellinger and left the game alongside a trainer later in the frame. It's not immediately clear what Cease is dealing with, but the Padres should provide an explanation relatively soon.

Bellozo did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Dodgers, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out seven over 5.1 innings.

Bellozo faced the minimum number of batters in three innings Wednesday, generating 10 whiffs on 76 pitches (44 strikes). He was lifted in the sixth inning to avoid a third matchup against the top of the Dodgers' lineup. It ended up backfiring, as Cade Gibson gave up the first run of the game and the Marlins' bullpen ceded 10 runs over the final four frames. Wednesday may have been Bellozo's last turn in the rotation if Ryan Weathers (forearm) is activated from the 15-day injured list.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo confirmed that Burnes (shoulder) has been cleared to make his next start Saturday versus the Dodgers at Chase Field, Alex D'Agostino of SI.com reports. "As we anticipated, Saturday's looking really, really good," Lovullo said of Burnes' status.

Burnes wasn't able to start Monday's series opener against the Mets as initially planned after he was diagnosed with a right shoulder inflammation following an MRI on Friday. Though Burnes looked to be at risk of landing on the 15-day injured list, his shoulder responded well to a cortisone injection, and Lovullo relayed that the right-hander checked off the final box in his recovery by completing a bullpen session Wednesday. Despite Burnes receiving a clean bill of health, fantasy managers in shallower leagues may want to tread carefully with him during his upcoming start. In addition to drawing a tough matchup versus a potent Dodgers lineup, Burnes' underlying numbers (4.64 SIERA, career-low 7.9 K-BB%) through his first six starts of the season have been far from the ace-level production that the Diamondbacks would have hoped for after signing him to a $210 million contract this winter.
