Shane Drohan RP | MIL
Brewers' Shane Drohan: Dealt loss in MLB debut
Drohan (0-1) took the loss Wednesday, allowing three runs on three hits and four walks over 2.2 innings against the Red Sox. He struck out two.
It was the first outing of Drohan's MLB career after being called up from Triple-A Nashville on Monday, and he struggled with his command versus his former organization. The left-hander kept Boston off the board through two frames but couldn't complete the third, throwing just 28 of 63 total pitches for strikes. The Brewers needed an extra starter this week coming off a weekend doubleheader, so Drohan likely won't get another turn through the rotation, especially with team off days coming Thursday and Monday.

Mitch Keller SP | PIT
Pirates' Mitch Keller: Blanks Friars in no-decision
Keller didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to the Padres, allowing three hits and a walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out four.
The veteran right-hander was masterful over 75 pitches (49 strikes), but manager Don Kelly elected to lift Keller to begin the seventh inning in a scoreless tie and watched his bullpen immediately implode. Keller has begun the season with three straight quality starts but has won only one of them, delivering a 1.00 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB through 18 innings. He'll look for more run support in his next trip to the mound, which is set to come at home early next week against the Nationals.

Michael King SP | SD
Padres' Michael King: Nabs first win of season
King (1-1) picked up the win Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over six-plus innings in an 8-2 victory over the Pirates. He struck out four.
The right-hander found himself locked in a duel with Mitch Keller through six innings, but the Padres broke out for four runs in the top of the seventh. King then put the first two batters in the bottom of the frame aboard before getting the hook after 95 pitches (57 strikes) and watched both come around to score after he left the mound. The quality start was King's first of the year in addition to the win, and he'll take a 3.24 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 15:8 K:BB through 16.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Mariners.

Colin Rea SP | CHC
Cubs' Colin Rea: Entering rotation Wednesday
Rea is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Rays at Tropicana Field.
After making his first two appearances of 2026 out of the bullpen, Rea will move into the rotation spot vacated by Cade Horton (elbow), who is slated to undergo season-ending surgery in the near future. Rea came on in relief of the injured Horton in the latter's final start Friday against the Guardians, striking out four while allowing one earned run on four hits and one walk across 3.1 innings. The right-handed Rea tossed 57 pitches in that appearance and may have a slight restriction with his workload Wednesday as he gets himself stretched back out.

Yoniel Curet SP | PHI
Phillies' Yoniel Curet: Pushed off 40-man roster
The Phillies designated Curet for assignment Wednesday.
The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of outfielder Steward Berroa, who was acquired via trade with Milwaukee. Curet was a waiver claim of the Phillies over the offseason and made three appearances in spring training, but he's yet to pitch since the minor-league season began. The 23-year-old has erratic control but a big arm, which could be enough for another organization to scoop him up off waivers.

R.J. Gordon SP | NYM
Mets' R.J. Gordon: Out with lat injury
Double-A Binghamton placed Gordon on the 7-day injured list April 2 with a lat injury, Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline reports.
The injury is expected to sideline Gordon until late April/early May. The 24-year-old righty logged a 3.69 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 71:15 K:BB in 61 innings at Double-A in 2025.

Freddy Peralta SP | NYM
Mets' Freddy Peralta: Undone by late struggles
Peralta did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five over 4.2 innings.
Peralta cruised through the first four innings, keeping Arizona off the board, but he ran into trouble in the fifth. Despite opening the frame with consecutive strikeouts, a single and two walks loaded the bases and forced his exit, and all three inherited runners eventually came around to score. The right-hander needed 101 pitches to record just 14 outs, as Arizona consistently extended at-bats with foul balls, and a fielding error behind him added to the pitch count. While the strikeout ability was there, inefficiency and an inability to finish hitters ultimately cut his outing short. Peralta now owns a 4.80 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB across 15 innings this season.

Zac Gallen SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Zac Gallen: Limits Mets in no-decision
Gallen did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Mets, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and four walks while striking out five over five innings.
Gallen ran into quick trouble, allowing three consecutive singles to open the game, but he managed to limit the damage to just one run on a sacrifice fly. The right-hander settled in nicely after the rocky start, allowing only two hits over his final four innings while pitching effectively through traffic. Though he wasn't especially efficient, issuing four walks and needing 95 pitches (54 strikes) to get through five innings, he kept Arizona in position to win before the bullpen let the lead slip away. Gallen now holds a 3.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 9:6 K:BB through his first three outings of the season.

Luke Sinnard SP | ATL
Braves' Luke Sinnard: Held back in extended ST
Sinnard was held back in extended spring training due to an abdominal strain, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports.
Sinnard logged 43 innings at High-A and 15.2 innings in the Arizona Fall League last year, so he'll be heading to a full-season affiliate once healthy. The big 6-foot-8 righty has a quality slider and changeup to go with an improving fastball.

Cade Cavalli SP | WAS
Nationals' Cade Cavalli: Early exit in no-decision
Cavalli didn't factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and four walks over 4.2 innings in a 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Cardinals. He struck out three.
The right-hander was able to limit the damage over his 94 pitches (53 strikes), but it was another inefficient performance from Cavalli. He's lasted five innings only once in his first three starts this season, and while Cavalli does sport a 2.51 ERA through 14.1 innings, his 1.47 WHIP and 11:9 K:BB are far less appealing for fantasy GMs. Cavalli will try to secure his first win of 2026 in his next outing, which is set to come on the road early next week in Pittsburgh.
