Rich Hill SP | KC
Dodgers' Rich Hill: Completes simulated game
Hill (finger) successfully completed a four-inning simulated game Saturday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
A return against the Giants next weekend seems possible for the 38-year-old, but the team could also opt for a minor-league rehab appearance instead following his next bullpen session.

Kenta Maeda SP | NYY
Dodgers' Kenta Maeda: Bullpen session Sunday
Maeda (hip) could return from the disabled list following Sunday's bullpen session, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Maeda had a successful bullpen session Friday and another successful outing Sunday could put him on track to start against the Rangers on Tuesday. The 30-year-old hit the disabled list May 30 with a right hip strain and appears poised to miss little more than the 10-day minimum.

Walker Buehler SP | SD
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Dealing with bruised ribs
Buehler underwent X-rays on Saturday and was diagnosed with bruised ribs, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Buehler exited Friday's start against the Braves after 5.1 innings with an undisclosed injury, so the diagnosis of a relatively minor rib injury is fantastic news. The 23-year-old will remain on the active roster for now but his status for next weekend's series with the Giants is up in the air. Regardless of whether he misses a turn in the rotation, Buehler doesn't appear poised for an extended absence.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Pirates' Joe Musgrove: Start bumped to Monday
Musgrove will start Monday's game against the Diamondbacks instead of facing the Cubs on Sunday, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
Ivan Nova (finger) will return from the disabled list Sunday, providing Musgrove an additional day of rest. The change in matchup is likely a welcome sight, as the Cubs rank third in the league with 5.13 runs per game, while the Diamondbacks rank 23rd at 4.02 runs per game.

Stephen Strasburg SP | WAS
Nationals' Stephen Strasburg: Heading to disabled list
Strasburg (shoulder) will be placed on the 10-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.
Strasburg exited Friday's start against the Giants after two innings with shoulder inflammation, and underwent an MRI on Saturday which revealed no structural issues, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports. The 29-year-old will be eligible to return from the disabled list June 19 and the diagnosis is nonetheless good news, but there is currently no timetable for his return.

Sixto Sanchez SP | MIA
Phillies' Sixto Sanchez: On DL with elbow inflammation
Sanchez was placed on the minor-league disabled list with right elbow inflammation, Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Sanchez was evaluated by team doctors in recent days and they determined it's unlikely that he's dealing with any sort of serious injury, though the top prospect will be shut down from all throwing activities for the next couple weeks in order to give the elbow some time to rest. It's unclear when this injury cropped up, as Sanchez tossed another quality outing for High-A Clearwater on June 3, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out five across seven scoreless innings. Expect an update when he's re-examined in the coming weeks.

Yu Darvish SP | SD
Cubs' Yu Darvish: Increases throwing distance
Darvish (triceps) played catch again Saturday and was able to increase his throwing distance for the first time since landing on the DL in late May, Bruce Miles of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.
Darvish has yet to work from the mound, but he appears to be closing in on throwing off a raised surface after spending most of this week playing catch. Look for an update from manager Joe Maddon on Darvish's status later on this weekend.

Robbie Ray SP | SD
Diamondbacks' Robbie Ray: Slated to face hitters Saturday
Ray (oblique) is scheduled to throw live batting practice Saturday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
Steven Souza (pectoral) will stand in against Ray, who is facing hitters for the first time since exiting his April 29 start with a right oblique strain. If the throwing session goes off without a hitch, Ray could be cleared to pitch in a simulated game or minor-league rehab outing at some point next week, which would leave the door open for him to return from the 10-day disabled list before the end of June.

Eric Lauer SP | LAD
Padres' Eric Lauer: Dispenses seven free passes in Friday's loss
Lauer (2-4) took the loss Friday as the Padres fell 4-0 to the Marlins, allowing three runs on six hits and seven walks over five innings while striking out six.
Miami had runners on base in every inning against the left-hander, but he managed to hold the opposition off the board until Lewis Brinson's fourth-inning sac fly finally opened the floodgates. Lauer's seven walks were easily a season high, but he's issued multiple free passes in five straight starts, leaving him with a 38:24 K:BB through 39.1 innings to go along with his 6.64 ERA. The rookie will next take the mound Wednesday in St. Louis.

Jacob deGrom SP | TEX
Mets' Jacob deGrom: Strikes out eight in loss Friday
DeGrom (4-1) struck out eight and walked two in a loss to the Yankees on Friday, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits in eight innings.
DeGrom gave up only one unearned run through seven innings but then surrendered a two-run homer to Brett Gardner in the eighth. The home run was the only extra-base hit DeGrom gave up all game, and only the third long ball he's allowed in 80.1 innings this year. The right-hander hasn't been able to secure a lot of wins despite a brilliant 1.57 ERA and 1.01 WHIP, in addition to ranking fourth in the majors with 106 strikeouts. Next up for DeGrom will be a matchup against the Diamondbacks in Arizona.
