  • Jacob deGrom SP | TEX

Mets' Jacob deGrom: Knocked around by Milwaukee

DeGrom (2-3) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out seven over four innings Friday to take the loss against the Brewers.

To put it simply, deGrom just didn't have it in Friday's outing. His night did begin with a three-hour rain delay, which certainly didn't help his cause. He really struggled to locate his pitches throughout the contest, and the reigning NL Cy Young winner surrendered all five of his runs in the fifth inning. Following a brief trip to the injured list due to an elbow issue, deGrom still doesn't quite look like himself.

  • Jose Urena SP | LAA

Marlins' Jose Urena: Pitches well in loss

Urena (1-4) allowed two runs on four hits with four strikeouts and three walks across seven innings in a loss to the Phillies on Friday.

Despite three walks, this was another strong outing for Urena. Unfortunately, it didn't result in a win, as Jared Eickhoff shut down the Marlins hitters in seven scoreless. But Urena does own a 2.25 ERA in his last three outings -- an obvious improvement from his 9.28 ERA in his first three starts. He still has more work to do, though, as he has a 1-4 record with a 5.08 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 25 strikeouts in 33.2 innings this season. Urena's next outing will be Friday at home against the Braves.

  • Jerad Eickhoff SP | PIT

Phillies' Jerad Eickhoff: Tosses seven scoreless

Eickhoff (1-1) threw seven shutout innings, allowing only two hits with six strikeouts and a walk in a victory against the Marlins on Friday.

This was only Eickhoff's second start of the year, but he also has a four-inning scoreless relief appearance to his name. Eickhoff struggled in his other start, giving up four runs and four walks. On Friday, he threw 57 of 88 pitches for strikes, including 15 called strikes. Eickhoff is 1-1 with a 2.12 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 20 strikeouts in 17 innings this season. His next start is scheduled to be Friday against the Nationals.

  • Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: Secures second win

Senzatela (2-1) picked up the win after surrendering three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out four over 5.2 innings Friday against the Braves.

Senzatela fell just one out shy of a quality start, but he still pitched well enough to get the victory. He allowed one run in the first inning, another in the fourth and his third run of the contest in the sixth on a solo homer. The right-hander was finally pulled with two outs in the fifth inning after racking up 105 pitches (60 strikes). Senzatela will enter his next start with a 3.93 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 11 strikeouts over 18.1 frames.

  • Max Fried SP | NYY

Braves' Max Fried: Roughed up by Rockies

Fried (3-1) took the loss after surrendering four runs on seven hits while striking out eight over 5.1 innings Friday night against the Rockies.

Fried gave up a pair of solo blasts in the fourth inning and surrendered another two runs in the sixth. Although it certainly wasn't a horrific outing by any means, Friday's performance was his worst outing of the season, and it raised his ERA from 1.38 to 2.30. He'll look to get back on track in his next start Wednesday against the Padres.

  • Dodgers' Ross Stripling: Moving to bullpen shortly

Stripling will be available out of the bullpen beginning either Sunday or Monday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Stripling will transition back to a bullpen role with Rich Hill (knee) set to return Sunday. Stripling has posted a solid 2.65 ERA with a 32:10 K:BB over 34 innings so far in 2019.

  • Brewers' Freddy Peralta: To make rehab appearance Saturday

Peralta (shoulder) will make a rehab appearance for Double-A Biloxi on Saturday, and if everything goes according to plan, he'll immediately return from the 10-day injured list, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Peralta tossed a bullpen session Monday and Wednesday, but the Brewers want to give him one more test before activating him from the injured list. Depending on how long his outing lasts Saturday, he figures to make his next start for Milwaukee either Tuesday or Wednesday against the Rockies, assuming he's cleared to return.

  • Kyle Freeland SP | COL

Rockies' Kyle Freeland: Could start Monday

Freeland (blister) threw a bullpen session with no setbacks Friday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

The left-hander had no issues with the blister that caused him to miss his last turn in the rotation, so he should be good to go and could start Monday against the Brewers, per Saunders. Freeland is 2-3 with a 4.23 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and 30 strikeouts over 27.2 innings so far this season.

  • Jacob deGrom SP | TEX

Mets' Jacob deGrom: Starting as expected Friday

DeGrom (elbow) will be activated off the 10-day injured list to start Friday against the Brewers.

DeGrom underwent an MRI on Monday but a negative test result and successful bullpen session Wednesday cleared the way for his return from the injured list. The 30-year-old will end up spending the 10-day minimum on the IL despite the initial scare the injury provided. The right-hander has a 3.68 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB over 22 innings through his first four starts.

  • Wes Parsons RP | CLE

Braves' Wes Parsons: Walks piling up

Parsons walked three batters and allowed one run in two innings of relief during Thursday's loss to the Reds.

After a promising start to the season, Parsons has had trouble finding the plate in recent outings. He's issued six free passes in 2.2 innings over his last three appearances, and his 4.35 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 10:8 K:BB through 10.1 frames on the year could have the right-hander on shaky ground the next time Atlanta needs to add fresh arms to its bullpen.
