Martinez (7-9) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk over 5.1 innings while striking out three in a 4-2 victory over the Rockies.

Coming off his worst start of the season, Martinez rebounded with a more composed outing Sunday, retiring the first six Rockies he faced before allowing both his runs on a Mickey Moniak single in the third. Martinez managed to work into the sixth, where he departed after allowing a pair of baserunners. With this bounce-back performance, the right-hander now holds a 4.78 ERA, 1.21 WHIP with 76 strikeouts over 111 innings this season.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that he believes Sasaki (shoulder) could be ready to return from the 60-day injured list around late August, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

Roberts noted that Sasaki is pain-free and was able to throw his first bullpen session Friday since he landed on the injured list May 13, but the Dodgers nonetheless appear content to take a slow and deliberate approach with ramping the rookie back up as he recovers from a right shoulder impingement. Sasaki is scheduled to throw another side session Monday, and he could be another week or two away from facing hitters in live batting practice before heading out on what will presumably be an extended minor-league rehab assignment. Given his poor numbers (4.72 ERA, 1.49 WHIP in 34.1 innings over eight starts) prior to landing on the shelf, Sasaki may not be in line for a spot in the Los Angeles rotation once he returns from the 60-day IL.

Cabrera received encouraging MRI results on his right elbow Sunday and may not require a trip to the injured list, Craig Mish of FanDuel Sports Network Florida reports.

The right-hander exited his most recent start in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Orioles due to posterior right elbow discomfort, but follow-up testing doesn't appear to have revealed a significant injury. The All-Star break will provide Cabrera with some extra rest, though it's not yet clear if he'll be ready to take the mound when his turn in the rotation first comes up in the second half.

Hence (undisclosed) was placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Springfield on Saturday.

Hence didn't make his season debut until late May as he recovered from a right rib cage strain, but it's not clear whether this latest trip to the IL is a recurrence or a different injury. The 22-year-old has been limited to just 21.1 innings in 2025, allowing five runs with a 14:6 K:BB over 10.2 frames during his time with Springfield.

The Mets reinstated Manaea (elbow/oblique) from the 60-day injured list, and he's expected to work as a bulk reliever Sunday against the Royals.

The left-hander will make his 2025 MLB debut in the final game of the first half, and he is poised to pitch behind starter Clay Holmes in Kansas City. Manaea threw 73 pitches over 3.2 innings during his final rehab outing with Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday and shouldn't face significant workload restrictions, though he could have a suppressed pitch count Sunday as a result of his role. The 33-year-old had a 3.47 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 184:63 K:BB over 181.2 innings for the Mets in 2024 and should work as a traditional starter after the All-Star break.

Gallen (7-10) took the loss Saturday, surrendering six runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings as the Diamondbacks fell 10-5 to the Angels. He struck out three.

While the right-hander did manage to last at least five innings for the 17th straight start, Gallen crashed back to earth after looking more like his old self to begin July. He's been tagged for at least five runs in three of his last five trips to the mound, and since the beginning of June he's served up 11 homers in only 48.1 innings, with Mike Trout doing the honors Saturday. Gallen will head into the All-Star break laboring under a 5.40 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 110:45 K:BB through 115 innings.

Kelly (calf) will start Sunday's game against the Angels in Anaheim.

Kelly dealt with some right calf discomfort in his most recent start Tuesday but still covered seven innings and 77 pitches before he was lifted. Afterward, manager Torey Lovullo downplayed the issue, and Kelly validated his skipper's optimism. The right-hander will head into his final appearance before the All-Star break having turned in quality starts in five of his past seven outings.

Singer did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk over 6.1 innings against the Rockies. He struck out nine.

Singer worked around plenty of traffic Saturday but limited the damage to three runs before exiting. The right-hander has been serviceable, though unspectacular, in his first season with the Reds, carrying a 4.32 ERA and 1.35 WHIP across 100 innings in 19 starts.

Blalock did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing one run on six hits and zero walks over 5.2 innings against the Reds. He struck out one.

The right-hander gave up a run in the first inning on an Austin Hays sacrifice fly but settled in from there in his first appearance since being called back up to the majors Monday. It marked Blalock's first MLB start since May 10, an appearance in which he surrendered 12 runs over 3.2 innings against the Padres. For the season, he holds a 9.97 ERA and 1.80 WHIP across 21.2 innings in six appearances (four starts) at the big-league level.

Nola (ankle, rib) threw a 40-pitch bullpen session Saturday in Clearwater, Florida, per MLB.com.

Nola is scheduled to throw live batting practice Tuesday and next Saturday. The veteran right-hander is working his way back from a right ankle sprain and subsequent stress fracture in his right rib, and the expectation is that he'll be able to re-enter Philadelphia's rotation at some point in early-to-mid August. Given that he'll have been on the shelf for over two months once the All-Star break begins, Nola is likely to require several minor-league rehab starts.
