DeGrom left Sunday's start against the Diamondbacks with an apparent injury, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

He missed his last start with right lat inflammation, though it's unclear if he aggravated that injury Sunday or is dealing with a new issue. DeGrom gave up one run on one hit with six strikeouts and three walks over five innings and attempted to return for a sixth frame, but he exited with the athletic trainer after a tossing a couple warm-up pitches.

Cueto (lat) was activated from the 10-day injured list Sunday and will start against the Padres, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

The 35-year-old has officially rejoined the active roster after spending the past three-plus weeks on the injured list. Cueto got off to a strong start in 2021 with a 1.80 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 18:4 K:BB through 20 innings, and he'll attempt to pick up where he left off now that's recovered from the lat strain.

Freeland (shoulder) will throw four innings Tuesday or Wednesday at Colorado's spring training site, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

The-27-year-old pitched in a simulated game last Tuesday and appears to be in the final stages of his recovery before advancing to games. Manager Bud Black previously indicated that Freeland likely will require a minor-league rehab assignment, so the left-hander is unlikely to be activated from the injured list this week.

Lauer will move to the bullpen and is expected to pitch Sunday against the Marlins, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The 25-year-old will shift to the bullpen Sunday with Brett Anderson (hamstring) returning from the injured list and rejoining the starting rotation. Lauer allowed six runs (two earned) on 12 hits with a 10:2 K:BB in 11 frames over two spot starts.

Senzatela (groin) will be activated from the 10-day injured list and start Monday versus the Padres, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

The 26-year-old landed on the shelf May 1 with a strained right groin, but he'll return after spending the 10-day minimum on the IL since it was a minor issue. Senzatela has struggled to open 2021 with a 5.76 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB across 29.2 innings (six starts).

Mahle and the Reds won't face Cleveland on Sunday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

The two sides will make up the game Aug. 9. Mahle, who was scheduled to pitch Sunday, may just be pushed back a day in the Reds' pitching schedule as a result of the postponement. If that's the case, he would tentatively line up for a two-start week, with his turns coming Monday in Pittsburgh and next Saturday in Colorado.

Kelly (2-3) allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and five walks while striking out six across 5.2 innings, taking the loss to the Mets on Saturday.

All of the damage against Kelly came in the third inning Saturday, when he started by walking the pitcher, Joey Lucchesi, and then surrendered a two-run home run to Jeff McNeil. Kelly got through the rest of his start unharmed, but he never had a feel for his command, walking a season-high five batters. The 32-year-old has had issues with giving out free bases this season with a 3.3 BB/9. He had just a 1.4 BB/9 last year in the shortened season.

Lucchesi (1-2) allowed one unearned run on two hits and a walk while striking out three across 3.1 innings, earning the win against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Lucchesi didn't allow any earned runs for the first time since his first appearance this season. The 28-year-old has had a rough start with a 7.71 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 14 innings. He has allowed the most runs out of all Mets relievers. He continues to serve best as a bulk-innings reliever behind an opener.

Kershaw (5-3) went five innings in Saturday's 14-11 win over the Angels, allowing no runs on two hits and one walk with five strikeouts.

Kershaw was spotted an 8-0 lead in the fourth and followed with two strong innings in what looked like a blowout but ended up a surprisingly close win. It was a nice rebound from last game's single-inning start and a 2.62 ERA shows the veteran is still one of the game's best pitchers.

Velasquez went 5.1 innings in Saturday's 8-7 loss against Atlanta, allowing one run on two hits and three walks with six strikeouts. He didn't factor into the decision.

The one blemish on Velasquez's otherwise perfect night was a Freddie Freeman home run to lead off the top of the sixth. The outing makes two straight for Velasquez going at least five innings with only one run allowed and he probably earned another turn through the rotation with the performance.
