Peterson allowed three runs on five hits and a walk with five strikeouts in 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus Atlanta on Wednesday. He also hit a batter.

Peterson cruised through four innings, but he ran into trouble in the fifth, where he allowed four of his hits and the hit-by-pitch. That led to three runs for Atlanta, but the Mets' offense got their starter off the hook in the seventh. Peterson has a 4.97 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 46:14 K:BB across 38 innings this season. The southpaw lines up to face Colorado next week.

Morton allowed a run on two hits and struck out eight over six innings versus the Mets on Wednesday. He did not factor in the decision.

The only damage on the right-hander's line was a Jonathan Villar solo home run in the fourth inning. Morton hadn't posted a quality start since April 20. The 37-year-old has a 4.60 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 52:16 K:BB across 45 innings this season. He'll look to maintain this level of performance next week versus Boston.

Burnes allowed two earned runs on two hits and a walk while striking out nine across six innings Wednesday against the Royals. He did not factor into the decision.

Burnes allowed his only two hits of the game in the second inning, one of which was a two-run home run by Michael Taylor. He was stellar otherwise, and has now struck out at least nine hitters in each of his seven starts this season. Despite maintaining a 1.79 ERA and 67:2 K:BB across 40.1 frames, Burnes has earned only two wins. He's projected to draw his next start Tuesday against San Diego.

Rogers (6-2) earned the win Wednesday against the Phillies after tossing 7.2 innings of one-run ball, giving up five hits and two walks while fanning eight.

Rogers has been one of the most dominant pitchers in the National League this season, and he lowered his ERA to 1.74 after another impressive outing. The young left-hander has now allowed one or fewer runs in five of his last six appearances and he's yet to give up more than three runs in any of his nine starts. He will try to keep this excellent stretch of pitching when he faces the Phillies on Monday.

Eflin (2-3) was tagged with the loss Wednesday against the Marlins after giving up two runs on six hits while fanning six across six innings.

Eflin has been tagged with the loss in each of his last two starts, but this outing was clearly a step in the right direction after his five-run, seven-hit start against the Nationals on May 13. The right-hander has three quality starts in four appearances this month and owns a 3.77 ERA on the season while giving up two or fewer runs in five of his last seven contests. He will have a shot at redemption next week since his upcoming start is scheduled for Monday against the Marlins on the road.

Gausman (4-0) earned the win Wednesday against the Reds after tossing six scoreless innings, giving up one hit and two walks while fanning eight.

Gausman has fanned six or more in five straight outings and continues to look dominant on the mound, as he has allowed more than one run in just one of his nine starts while pitching at least six innings every time he takes the mound. The 30-year-old left-hander continues to pitch as one of the best hurlers in the National League and owns a 1.66 ERA through 59.2 innings. He'll look to keep this sizzling run going when he takes the ball next week against the Diamondbacks on the road.

Miley (4-4) tweaked his foot and exited Wednesday's start against the Giants after 4.2 innings, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. He took the loss after allowing one run on six hits with two strikeouts and zero walks.

Manager Dave Bell indicated the left-hander could have remained in the contest, but the skipper "didn't want to take any chances" and called upon the bullpen. According to Goldsmith, Miley had an MRI and X-rays come back clean, so it's possible he doesn't miss a turn through the rotation.

Wainwright will start Sunday's game against the Cubs, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The 39-year-old last pitched Saturday against the Padres and will receive some extra rest before retaking the mound with Carlos Martinez (ankle) and Miles Mikolas (shoulder) returning from the injured list to start the first two games versus the Cubs. Wainwright has a 4.63 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB through 46.2 innings (eight starts) this season.

Kelly will start Thursday's series finale against the Dodgers, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Kelly tentatively lined up to start Wednesday's contest, but he'll instead receive an extra day of rest and take the mound in the series finale. Matt Peacock will pitch for the Diamondbacks in the penultimate game of the series.

Martinez (ankle) will be activated from the 10-day injured list to start Friday against the Cubs, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The 29-year-old landed on the shelf May 11 with a right ankle injury, but he'll rejoin the rotation Friday after a brief absence. Martinez has a 4.35 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 22:14 K:BB across 41.1 innings through seven starts in 2021.
