Seijas (undisclosed) was placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Springfield on Friday.

The 22-year-old opened the season at Double-A and has an 8.03 ERA, 2.48 WHIP and 7:17 K:BB across 12.1 innings (four starts) this season. It's unclear how long Seijas is expected to be sidelined by the unspecified injury.

Soroka (Achilles) will be reevaluated in two weeks and hasn't officially been ruled out for the year, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Manager Brian Snitker said on MLB Network's High Heat on Friday that Soroka was done for the year following a second Achilles procedure, but further reports indicate that he might have spoken prematurely. It's difficult to have any optimism in the Canadian righty's return this year given that his own manager appears confident that he won't be able to do so, but the official word on the matter might not come out until mid-June.

Soroka will miss the remainder of the season while recovering from the Achilles procedure he underwent in mid May, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Soroka was originally only expected to miss a brief period at the start of the season as he worked his way back from his first Achilles surgery, a procedure he underwent back in August of last year. He was on the cusp of a return and had even pitched in a Grapefruit League game when he suffered his first setback, a shoulder issue that popped up at the alternate site in early April. Then, the Achilles flared up again, leading to exploratory surgery. It wasn't initially clear that the second surgery would rule him out for the year, but that was confirmed by manager Brian Snitker on Friday. The team hopes Soroka will be ready for the start of the 2022 season.

Miley (foot) will return from the injured list to start Monday against the Phillies, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Previous reports indicated Miley was on track to start Sunday against the Cubs, but he'll need one additional day before he's ready to go. The veteran lefty has had a very unusual May, throwing a no-hitter in his first start of the month before allowing eight runs in his next outing and then leaving early with a sprained foot in his third appearance. The sprain isn't a major issue, however, as he'll be back in game action within two weeks of suffering the injury.

Gutierrez was recalled as expected Friday and will make his major-league debut in a start against the Cubs.

Gutierrez missed the beginning of the year while serving the end of a PED suspension, but he's ready to go now following three strong Triple-A starts. He was quite poor at Triple-A back in 2019, however, struggling to a 6.04 ERA, and the 25-year-old hasn't impressed in the minors since being signed out of Cuba in 2016.

Senzatela (1-5) allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three across four innings in Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader against the Mets.

Senzatela let the first two batters reach base and surrendered a run in the first inning. In the fourth frame, he allowed the bases loaded with only one out. He got out of it with just a single run crossing the plate. The 26-year-old has a mediocre 4.97 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP in 50.2 innings. He is not a strikeout threat, with just a 5.5 K/9.

Martinez allowed three runs on three hits and a walk with six strikeouts in six-plus innings versus Arizona on Thursday. He did not factor in the decision.

The right-hander had no-hit Arizona through six innings, but he gave up two singles and a double to start the seventh. Genesis Cabrera allowed two inherited runners to score, but Martinez still finished with a quality start. The 29-year-old has posted a 4.22 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 30:16 K:BB in 53.1 innings this year. Martinez lines up for an unfavorable road start versus the Dodgers next week.

Anderson (3-5) allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out four in five innings to take the loss against the Cubs on Thursday.

Anderson was charged with a somewhat unlucky loss Thursday since a fielding error by first baseman Will Craig with two outs in the third inning allowed two unearned runs to cross the plate in the frame. The southpaw has now given up at least two earned runs in each of his last five starts and has been charged with losses in three of those appearances. Anderson tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Kansas City on Tuesday.

Mikolas' (forearm) visit to Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday did not seem to reveal any new information about the pitcher's injury, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports. "I don't think it's anything dramatically different," manager Mike Shildt said regarding Andrews' evaluation.

Shildt added that the Cardinals' doctors would still need to evaluate Andrews' opinion and he didn't want to elaborate too much until that had an opportunity to unfold. Mikolas could be facing a variety of scenarios in terms of his recovery timeline, but he at least seemed to produce an encouraging MRI on Sunday. The veteran isn't eligible to come off the injured list until early next week, so further clarity on his condition may not be gleaned until sometime this weekend.

Hendricks (5-2) allowed three runs on six hits and no walks while striking out five in seven innings to earn the win against the Pirates on Thursday.

Hendricks was hit hard early in the season, but he's now lasted at least 6.2 innings in each of his last three starts and has earned three consecutive wins. The right-hander gave up three home runs in Thursday's outing, but each of the long balls was a solo blast. Hendricks has now posted a 4.63 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 56.1 innings across his first 10 starts of the year. He tentatively lines up to make his next start at home against the Padres on Tuesday.
