Snell (3-3) earned the win Tuesday against the Dodgers after tossing five scoreless innings, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out five.

Snell bounced back from an ugly start against the Rockies the last time out, when he allowed seven runs across just 3.1 innings. He picked up his third win of the campaign Tuesday. He's been hit-or-miss recently and owns a 4.66 ERA across four starts this month. His next start is scheduled for next week at Cincinnati.

Kershaw (8-7) was tagged with the loss Tuesday against the Padres after allowing three runs on four hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out seven.

Kershaw has tossed three straight quality starts but has been a victim of poor run support from the Dodgers, as he's gone 1-2 with a 2.50 ERA in that span. The star lefty has posted a 25:3 K:BB during that three-game stretch and has been pitching lights out, but a lack of offense has been partly to blame for Kershaw dropping four of his last five decisions. His next start is scheduled for this weekend at home against the Cubs.

Pirates director of sports medicine Todd Tomczak said Wednesday that Malone has been shut down recently due to a sore right lat, Jake Crouse of MLB.com reports.

Malone made three appearances for Low-A Bradenton to begin the year and tossed 3.2 scoreless relief innings. He was reassigned to the GCL Pirates at the end of May, but he hasn't yet appeared in a game with his new club. It's not yet clear when the 20-year-old will be able to return.

Stroman is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Wednesday after he exited Tuesday's 3-0 loss to Atlanta with left hip soreness, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

The Mets are optimistic that Stroman's injury is only a minor concern, but he'll be sent in for an MRI anyway as the team looks to gain extra reassurance about his health. After walking two over a scoreless first inning Tuesday, Stroman exited the contest in the second when he was examined by a team trainer. The Mets turned to the trio of Drew Smith, Yennsy Diaz and Aaron Loup to cover multiple innings in relief, and the team could opt for a bullpen game again Monday in Washington if Stroman isn't ready to go for his next turn through the rotation.

Alcantara didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Blue Jays, giving up one run on five hits and a walk over eight innings. He struck out three.

He also hit a batter, which proved costly when Bo Bichette came around to score Toronto's first run in the sixth inning. Alcantara was otherwise sharp as he delivered his fourth straight quality start and 11th in 16 outings, a stretch of success reflected in his 2.93 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 90:26 K:BB through 101.1 innings.

Morton (7-3) picked up the win in Tuesday's 3-0 victory over the Mets, allowing only one hit and two walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out 11.

The right-hander seems to have figured things out, as Morton fanned double-digit batters for the first time all season while delivering his second straight shutout effort of seven innings or more and sixth quality start of the year. He's also won five of his last six trips to the mound, posting a 2.52 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 41:12 K:BB through 35.2 innings over that red-hot stretch.

DeSclafani (8-2) earned the win over the Angels on Tuesday, pitching seven scoreless innings during which he allowed three hits and two walks whiles striking out nine.

The right-hander was dominant in the outing, enjoying an early 5-0 lead and preventing Los Angeles from mounting any hint of a comeback. He tied his season high with strikeouts while inducing 16 swings-and-misses across 97 total pitches. After a pair of subpar outings in late May, DeSclafani has won each of his four starts in June, giving up a combined three earned runs over 27 innings. He'll carry a strong 2.77 ERA into his next start, which is likely to come on the road against the Dodgers early next week.

Gallen (1-3) was tagged with the loss Tuesday against the Brewers despite allowing just one run on three hits while fanning eight across five innings.

Gallen was tagged with the loss after allowing a homer to Kolten Wong in the first at-bat of the game, but he settled down the rest of the way and fanned eight, tying his season-high mark. The right-hander has allowed one or fewer runs in four of his seven starts in 2021, and while he was tagged with the loss here, he simply was a victim of poor run support. Gallen is expected to take the ball next at St. Louis next week.

Peralta (7-2) earned the win Tuesday against the Diamondbacks after tossing six scoreless innings, giving up one hit and four walks while fanning 10.

Peralta tied his season-high mark in strikeouts and posted another quality start -- his eighth of the campaign -- while looking absolutely dominant on the mound. Peralta has given up two or fewer earned runs in eight straight appearances and has lowered his ERA to an impressive 2.11 on the season. He's slated to take the ball next week at home against the Cubs.

Freeland didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Mariners after tossing six innings of one-run ball, giving up five hits and a walk while fanning seven.

Freeland has been struggling mightily during most of the season, but he delivered an improved effort this time around and delivered his first quality start of the campaign. This was just the second time Freeland allowed less than three runs in an outing, but he still owns an inflated 7.76 ERA across six outings (26.2 innings). He's scheduled to take the ball again during the weekend series at the Brewers.
