Manager Jayce Tingler said Friday that Darvish is "unlikely" to pitch in Tuesday's All-Star Game after the right-hander exited Thursday's start with back and hip tightness, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports .

Tingler's update comes as little surprise given the relative insignificance of Tuesday's exhibition. Darvish still figures to have a strong chance of pitching soon after the club returns from the break July 16, though his availability likely won't be finalized until the latter part of next week.

Hendricks (11-4) allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out one in 6.1 innings Friday, earning the win in a 10-5 victory over the Cardinals.

It was the righty's 10th quality start in his last 11 outings, and he now has 13 such starts in 18 games this season. Hendricks' 11 wins are tied with Julio Urias for the major-league lead. The Cubs' rotation as a whole has been miserable in recent weeks, but Hendricks has only gotten better after an up-and-down April and slightly more consistent May. He'll take a 3.77 ERA into the All-Star break and presumably start Chicago's second-half opener next Friday in Arizona.

Kershaw will resume playing catch Saturday after his MRI confirmed that he's dealing with forearm inflammation, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.

Kershaw was diagnosed with forearm inflammation Wednesday and his MRI didn't reveal anything more serious. The southpaw will resume throwing Saturday and it seems like he could have a chance to return shortly after the club resumes play following the All-Star break.

Webb (shoulder) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of his start Friday against the Nationals, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

It was reported Thursday that Webb would take the ball for the series opener and now San Francisco has made room for the right-hander on the 26-man roster by placing Buster Posey (thumb) on the 10-day IL. Webb could be in line for a shorter outing given that he threw just two innings during his lone rehab outing with Triple-A Sacramento on July 1.

Snell was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday with gastroenteritis, retroactive to July 6.

Snell was scratched from his Friday start against Colorado as he continues to feel fatigue from the illness. His move to the IL comes as no surprise, and he'll be eligible for activation when the club returns from the All-Star break July 16. Reiss Knehr was recalled from Double-A San Antonio to start in place of Snell on Friday.

Carrasco (hamstring) is scheduled to throw two up-downs in a live bullpen session Saturday, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

It will be the right-hander's second live session after facing hitters Tuesday, and he could embark on a rehab assignment next week if he has no issues Saturday. The Mets are targeting a return in late July, and Carrasco will be able to make a few rehab starts and still return by the end of the month.

Martinez (thumb) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Martinez hit the 10-day injured list with a torn thumb ligament Wednesday, and the issue appears to be quite serious. He'll be ineligible to return before early September, but there's a chance he's already done for the year if surgery winds up being required. Luis Garcia was signed in a corresponding move.

Snell (fatigue) won't start as scheduled Friday against the Rockies, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Snell rejoined the rotation Sunday and delivered four scoreless innings after dealing with a bout of food poisoning, but he's been unable to build up his strength in the days following the outing. The left-hander won't make another start before the All-Star break and will instead receive some extra time to hopefully complete his recovery. San Diego's relievers have covered 13 innings over the past two contests and are now slated for a bullpen game Friday.

Darvish was pulled from Thursday's start against the Nationals with back and hip tightness, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

The right-hander delivered his worst outing of the season Thursday with six runs allowed across three frames. Darvish first dealt with the back issue last month, but the injury resurfaced versus Washington, along with some hip tightness. The injuries don't sound overly severe, though it could still affect the veteran's availability for Tuesday's All-Star Game in Colorado.

Oviedo was optioned to Triple-A Memphis on Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

The young right-hander made his final start before the All-Star break in Wednesday's loss to the Giants, so he'll head to Triple-A so he can continue receiving work in the minors. Oviedo is a strong bet to rejoin the rotation when the Cardinals require additional starters during the July 19-22 series versus the Cubs.
