Flaherty (oblique) threw a bullpen session Friday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Flaherty began a throwing program in mid-June, and he was able to resume mound work Friday. The right-hander is on the 60-day injured list and won't be eligible to return until at least the start of August due to an oblique strain, but his bullpen session represents a clear step forward in his recovery process.

Mikolas (forearm) threw live batting practice Friday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Mikolas resumed throwing bullpens earlier in July, and he progressed to facing live hitters Friday. If he feels good following the throwing session, in which he faced three hitters, the right-hander could be on track to begin a rehab assignment in late July.

Snell (illness) has been confirmed as the probable starting pitcher for Saturday's game against Washington, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Snell didn't make his last scheduled start prior to the All-Star break due to gastroenteritis, and the club wound up putting the left-hander on the injured list so it could bring up another pitcher. The Padres said that they expected Snell to be fine to pitch during the series against the Nationals, and now he's officially scheduled to make his return to the mound Saturday. It's not clear at this point if the 28-year-old will face any sort of strict pitch count with him having gone 13 days between starts.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Kershaw has been feeling better recently, but he'll likely need to spend more than the minimum of 10 days on the shelf since he doesn't yet have a timetable to build up. The southpaw was able to play catch ahead of the All-Star break, but a better idea of his recovery timeline could come into focus once he's able to resume mound work.

Gomber (forearm) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Gomber threw a two-inning simulated game prior to the All-Star break and is expected to toss 60 pitches across four innings in his rehab start Friday. The southpaw has been sidelined since June 19 due to forearm tightness, but he's been able to build up recently and could be nearing a return to the major-league roster.

Darvish (hip) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list to start Monday's game against Atlanta, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Darvish landed on the IL with left hip inflammation July 11, but if he's indeed reinstated Monday, he will have spent the minimum 10 days off the active roster. Darvish was roughed up by the Nationals in his last outing before the All-Star break, allowing six runs on eight hits across just three innings.

Senzatela will no longer start Friday against the Dodgers after being placed on the COVID-19 injured list.

Senzatela was placed on the COVID-19 IL along with three other Colorado players as a result of the league's protocols. Chi Chi Gonzalez will move up a day to start Friday. It's not yet clear if Senzatela has tested positive for the virus or if he could possibly start later in the series if he clears the protocols in time.

Webb was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento to start Friday's game against the Cardinals.

The right-hander will step in to start on short notice after Kevin Gausman (personal) was scratched from his scheduled start. Webb returned from the injured list July 9 and allowed a hit and no walks while striking out four in three scoreless innings against the Nationals.

Gausman will not start Friday against the Cardinals after being placed on the Family Medical Emergency list, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Gausman will miss at least the next three games, meaning he won't pitch until Monday against the Dodgers at the earliest. Logan Webb will be recalled from Triple-A Sacramento to start in his place Friday.

Anderson (shoulder) will be shut down from throwing for 7-10 days, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

The right-hander isn't dealing with any structural damage in his shoulder, but he'll still be shut down at least a week to allow inflammation to subside. Anderson will require some time to build up his arm after the brief shutdown, so he likely won't be back until August. Touki Toussaint is slated to receive a look in the starting rotation during Anderson's absence.
