DeSclafani (12-6) earned the win Tuesday against the Padres after tossing 6.2 innings of one-run ball, allowing three hits and a walk while fanning three.

DeSclafani delivered another dominant performance, but the fact that he did it against one of the most dangerous lineups in the National League delivers added value to this outing. He's now given up three or fewer runs in each of his last six appearances, though he only has two quality starts in that stretch. He has a 2.12 ERA across three September starts.

Woodruff (illness) will start Wednesday's game against the Tigers in Detroit.

Woodruff was pushed off his most recent scheduled start over the weekend in Cleveland while he dealt with a stomach bug, but the All-Star right-hander looks like he'll be ready to go Wednesday on eight days' rest. Through nine second-half starts, Woodruff has gone 2-4 with a 3.42 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and a 62:16 K:BB in 50 innings.

Gray (8-10) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings in a win over Atlanta on Tuesday.

Gray secured his first win since July 30 after limiting Atlanta to two runs over five innings. He got off to a bit of a rough start as Atlanta took an early 1-0 lead in the first off a Freddie Freeman single but would eventually get into a bit of a groove, as he got nine outs in a span of 10 batters. Atlanta got to him again in the fourth for another run on a double by Dansby Swanson and Gray's night eventually ended after five frames and 90 pitches. The 29-year-old hasn't logged a quality start since Aug. 4 but has strung together two solid efforts to open up September. Overall. Gray has a 4.16 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 140:56 K:BB over 136.1 innings and lines up to face the Nationals on the road his next time out.

Toussaint (3-3) allowed four runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five over four innings to take a loss to the Rockies on Tuesday.

Toussaint pitched a clean first but had some trouble in the second. He started off the inning by allowing a solo home run to Trevor Story and surrendered one more run on a walk and a pair of base hits. The 25-year-old righty later allowed another homer, this time a two-run blast by Brendan Rodgers to put the Rockies up 4-2 in the fifth. Toussaint's day ended there and Atlanta was unable to mount the comeback. The 2014 first-round pick hasn't pitched more than four innings in either of his last three starts and has given up exactly four earned runs in two of those three outings. He now sits at a 4.50 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 48:22 K:BB over 50 innings this year. He's in line for a tough road matchup against the Giants at the end of the week.

Kelly (illness) is scheduled to return from the COVID-19 injured list to start Wednesday's series finale with the Dodgers, MLB.com reports.

Kelly has been building toward a return over the last week, and manager Torey Lovullo made it official late Tuesday. The right-hander will be making his first start since Aug. 11, and he could approach 80-to-90 pitches in the outing.

Gibson (10-7) took the loss against the Cubs on Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits and no walks while striking out seven over five innings.

The veteran looked like he could be headed for a special night through four frames, as he retired the first 12 batters he faced, including seven by strikeout. Things took a drastic turn in the fifth, however, as Chicago touched Gibson up for five hits -- including two homers -- and crossed the plate four times. The disappointing frame resulted in the right-hander's second loss in his past three appearances and extended his streak of outings without a quality start to three. Gibson will look to get back on track the next time he takes the mound, which is currently slated to be Sunday in New York against the Mets.

Gonsolin (3-1) got the win in Tuesday's 8-4 victory over Arizona, allowing two hits and two walks with six strikeouts in five innings.

Making his second start since returning from injury, Gonsolin was excellent Tuesday with more strikeouts than baserunners allowed. The 27-year-old righty needed just 67 pitches to navigate five innings and there's no doubt he would've pitched deeper had Los Angeles not been ramping up Gonsolin's workload gradually for the stretch run and playoffs.

Stroman pitched six innings, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out eight in Tuesday's loss to the Cardinals. He did not factor into the decision.

The 30-year-old was able to limit the damage to two runs in the fourth inning of this one. It was his fifth quality start in his last six outings and he has compiled a 3.22 ERA and 1.07 WHIP over 36.1 innings in that span. He lines up to face the Red Sox next week.

Kim picked up a save after giving up two unearned runs on one hit and one walk in Tuesday's win over the Mets.

The 33-year-old was called upon to protect a 7-4 lead in the bottom of the 11th inning after both Giovanny Gallegos and Alex Reyes had already pitched in the game. He gave up two runs -- partially due to an error he committed -- but converted the second save of his career. Kim was moved to the bullpen Sept. 7 and has since pitched 2.1 innings while surrendering four runs (two earned).

Peralta fired seven shutout innings during Tuesday's no-decision against the Tigers. He allowed two hits and no walks while striking out nine.

Making his third start since returning from a shoulder injury, Peralta looked to be back in strong form after surrendering eight earned runs over his previous three starts (7.2 innings). The 25-year-old displayed impeccable command, failing to issue any free passes for just the third time this year. The successful outing lowers Peralta's ERA and WHIP to 2.57 and 0.95, respectively. The right-hander will look to get into the win column during his next start, tentatively set for Monday against the Cardinals.
