Ynoa (shoulder) was removed from Atlanta's roster for the NLCS on Wednesday, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The 23-year-old will move back to the rotation after he tossed one inning in relief during Atlanta's four-game series victory over the Brewers in the NLDS, but manager Brian Snitker likely won't let Ynoa work deep into Wednesday's contest. Because he struggled in a traditional starting role over the final six weeks of the regular season upon returning from a fractured hand in mid-August, Ynoa could be capped at 2-to-3 innings while Atlanta looks to maximize his results. Drew Smyly and A.J. Minter are candidates to cover multiple frames behind Ynoa.

Carrasco underwent surgery Tuesday to remove a bone fragment from his right elbow.

Carrasco missed the first half of the 2021 campaign with a hamstring injury and recorded a 6.04 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 53.2 innings across 12 starts. Although he'll require some time to recover following his elbow procedure, he's expected to resume baseball activities this winter. As a result, it seems likely that the right-hander will be ready for spring training in 2022.

Urias remains the expected starter for Game 4 of the NLCS against Atlanta on Wednesday after previously looking like he could get pushed back to Game 5, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Urias was expected to start Game 4 before the series began, but there was some doubt whether or not he'd be available after he was called upon to pitch the eighth inning in Game 2 on what would have been his bullpen day Sunday. Rather than pushing him back to Game 5 and going with a bullpen day for Game 4, however, the Dodgers will keep Urias on his previous schedule. It's possible he won't be able to pitch as deep as he otherwise would have given his relief appearance just three days prior.

Fried left with the game tied, 2-2, a score which held up until Austin Riley's walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth. While he didn't pick up the win, he did his job keeping his team in the game despite not throwing a single clean inning. He was able to limit the damage despite a steady stream of hits, allowing one run on a two-out single by Chris Taylor in the second inning and another on a solo homer by Will Smith to lead off the fourth. He's now lined up to pitch Game 5 next Thursday.

Urias tossed four innings while working as the primary pitcher in Game 5 of the NLDS on Thursday, and he'll be fully rested for his start at Dodger Stadium during the NLCS. The southpaw has recorded a 2.00 ERA and 0.78 WHIP in nine innings across two appearances (one start) during the postseason.
