The Dodgers optioned Grove to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.

Los Angeles called up Grove from Triple-A on Saturday in case a long reliever was needed in the final two games of the team's series with the Giants, but the right-hander ultimately wasn't needed out of the bullpen. The Dodgers still intend to develop Grove as a starter, so he'll head back to Triple-A to make regular turns through Oklahoma City's rotation. Reyes Moronta was called up to replace Grove in the bullpen.

Strasburg, who was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, is dealing with a stress reaction of the ribs, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Strasburg experience renewed discomfort following his between-starts bullpen session last week and now we have an official diagnosis. Thoracic outlet syndrome is notoriously tough to make a full recovery from, and Strasburg could end up being a cautionary tale. He is without a timetable to return.

Woodruff (Raynaud's syndrome) was able to throw a few breaking balls during a 40-pitch bullpen session in New York on Tuesday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

He said it was "a big step" to be able to throw all of his pitches, as the offspeed pitches had been the ones he had struggled with due to the hand numbness associated with Raynaud's syndrome. Woodruff said he has been on medicine for about a week and that he has noticed daily improvement with how he has been able to grip the ball, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Woodruff also added that warm weather helps, so things could keep trending up from here.

DeGrom (shoulder) will progress to an "up-and-down" bullpen session Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Following Tuesday's 30-pitch bullpen session, deGrom said "everything feels good" and that "hopefully" it won't be too much longer before he is able to return to game action. This was his fourth bullpen session since beginning mound work and the up-and-down session will be a little closer to recreating a game environment.

Manager Oliver Marmol said that Matz recently received another injection Monday in his troublesome left shoulder, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

He hasn't pitched since throwing four pitches against the Pirates on May 22 and MRIs have shown no structural damage. The fact that Matz has had multiple injections -- the first one came May 23 -- in his shoulder is not a great sign, but it sounds like the Cardinals and Matz are doing everything possible to try to get him past this issue. He threw off flat ground Sunday.

The Brewers transferred Peralta (lat) on Tuesday from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL.

The transaction ensures that Peralta will be sidelined through the All-Star break, a development that was expected after Will Sammon of The Athletic reported earlier Tuesday that the right-hander recently resumed working out in Arizona but is still a month away from being ready to rejoin the Brewers' active roster. With Peralta being removed from the 40-man roster as a result of the move to the 60-day IL, the Brewers had a spot for right-hander Chi Chi Gonzalez, who was claimed off waivers from the Twins.

Peralta (lat) recently resumed working out at the Brewers' extended spring training facility in Arizona, but he's not expected to make his return from the 15-day injured list for at least another month, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Peralta has been on the shelf since exiting his May 22 start with a right lat strain. At the time Peralta was shut down with the injury, the Brewers were bracing for a long-term absence, so the news that he'll likely remain sidelined through the All-Star break shouldn't come as a major surprise. Until Peralta resumes facing hitters and is cleared for a minor-league rehab assignment, the Brewers likely won't offer a potential target date for his return from the IL.

Flaherty (shoulder) will start Wednesday's game against the Pirates, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Flaherty has been out all season while recovering from shoulder inflammation. He's made just two rehab starts and reached a modest 58 pitches in his latest one, and previous reports indicated that he'd need one outing in the minors before returning from the injured list. The Cardinals have evidently changed plans, swayed either by the scramble caused by their Tuesday doubleheader or by the fact that Flaherty has been so dominant (seven innings with nine strikeouts and just a single baserunner) in his rehab appearances. Flaherty will be limited to 60 pitches in his season debut, per Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat, but the Cardinals are clearly comfortable with those pitches being thrown at the major-league level.

Liberatore was recalled ahead of his scheduled start in Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Pirates.

Liberatore will be the 27th man for the doubleheader, which suggests he could head right back to the minors after his outing. He hasn't done quite enough to stick permanently in the big-league rotation through his first three starts at the highest level, posting a 5.54 ERA and 10:8 K:BB, though a date with the Pirates could help him improve those numbers.

Wood (4-5) earned the win over Kansas City on Monday, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out five over six innings.

The veteran southpaw endured a rough third inning during which the Royals put up two runs on two hits and a walk to take an early lead. Wood settled down from there, retiring the final 10 batters he faced and getting credit for the win as a result of San Francisco taking the lead in the half-inning following his departure from the contest. This was Wood's first win in six starts -- a span of over a month. He's posted a 4.11 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 60:16 K:BB across 61.1 innings on the season.
