Overton did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks over four innings during a 6-4 win over Philadelphia. He struck out four.

Overton gave up five runs during his season debut last week, and he wasn't particularly sharp during Sunday's matchup. However, he was able to settle for a second consecutive no-decision since the Reds put together a comeback victory over the final two innings of the game. The right-hander was slightly encouraging over a limited sample last year, posting a 2.73 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 33 innings over six appearances (four starts), but he's struggled mightily early in 2023. Assuming he maintains his starting role, Overton tentatively lines up for a rematch against the Phillies at home at the end of next week.

Fried (hamstring) hasn't yet resumed mound work and is likely about two weeks away from returning, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Fried has been playing catch recently but hasn't yet progressed to mound work, and there's been no indication that he's resumed running. It's unclear when he'll be able to throw off a mound, but he'll need some time to build back up before he's in consideration to return to game action.

DeSclafani allowed one run on three hits over 6.1 innings during Sunday's win over Kansas City. He struck out seven and did not factor in the decision.

DeSclafani had little issue working through the Royals aside from Salvador Perez's RBI single in the fourth inning. The Giants couldn't get any offense going until the eighth inning, so Desclafani wasn't able to improve to 2-0. He has a stellar 11:0 K:BB while allowing just one run through 12.1 frames across two starts. DeSclafani is projected for a solid matchup in Detroit next weekend.

Feltner allowed three runs on six hits and three walks over five innings during Sunday's win over the Nationals. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Feltner coughed up a pair of runs in the second inning before Washington plated a third run in the fifth. Through two outings this season, he's given up eight runs with a 10:8 K:BB through 9.2 frames. The 26-year-old righty forced nine whiffs on 90 pitches Sunday. Feltner is lined up to start in Seattle next weekend.

Oviedo (1-0) earned the win Sunday, giving up five hits and no walks through 6.2 scoreless innings in the victory over the White Sox. He struck out five.

Oviedo stifled the White Sox offense all game and did not allow a single extra-base hit through his 6.2 innings pitched. The only run in this game came from a sacrifice fly provided by teammate Jack Suwinski in the first inning, which was all Oviedo needed to earn his first win of the year. The right-hander efficiently threw 62 of 89 pitches for strikes before exiting with two outs in the seventh inning, and he will look to keep the momentum moving in his next outing, likely to come next week in the series with the Cardinals.

Taillon (0-2) allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits and a walk over five innings Sunday, striking out seven and taking a loss against the Rangers.

Most of the damage against Taillon came during Texas' four-run second inning, though two were counted as unearned runs. He then gave up one more run in the fourth. Taillon forced just five whiffs but improved his season K:BB to 9:2 through nine frames. He's lined up for a road matchup with the Dodgers next weekend.

Woodford (0-2) took the loss during Sunday's 6-1 defeat to the Brewers, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out five.

After back-to-back scoreless frames, Woodford got into trouble the second time through the order and surrendered a two-run double to Willy Adames in the third. Adames also hit a solo home run in the fifth to extend Milwaukee's lead to 3-1, ending Woodford's outing. The right-hander has now given up nine runs, including four homers, over his first two starts this season after posting a 2.23 ERA as a reliever in 2022.

Peralta (2-0) earned the win during Sunday's 6-1 victory over the Cardinals, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out seven.

Peralta tossed three shutout frames before allowing an RBI single to Jordan Walker in the fourth, but he got out of the frame by retiring back-to-back batters. The right-hander's line Sunday was nearly identical to his first start, and he now has 14 strikeouts through 12 innings. Peralta is tentatively scheduled to pitch next against the Padres.

Carrasco (0-2) took the loss during Sunday's 7-2 loss to Miami, allowing six runs on six hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out one.

Carrasco gave up a three-run shot to Bryan De La Cruz in the first and a two-run homer to Garrett Cooper in the fifth before getting replaced. The veteran right-hander has now allowed three homers through his first 8.2 innings this season after surrendering 17 across 29 starts (152 innings) in 2022. Carrasco and Mets manager Buck Showalter both attributed the pitcher's lack of velocity in his first start to the pitch clock, so it may take awhile for him to get adjusted to the new rules this season. Carrasco is tentatively scheduled to pitch next against the Athletics, which should be an advantageous matchup.

Garrett did not factor into the decision during Sunday's 7-2 win over the Mets, allowing two runs on nine hits and one walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Garrett was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday and took Johnny Cueto's (biceps) spot in the rotation. In his first start of the year and only second appearance, Garrett did a fantastic job of working around trouble but wasn't in line for the win after getting pulled in the fifth with two outs. The only blemishes on Garrett's ledger came on RBI singles to Francisco Alvarez and Pete Alonso in the second and fifth innings, respectively. Cueto isn't expected to be sidelined much longer than the minimum 15 days, but Garrett should still garner at least one more start before the veteran right-hander returns.
