Davies (oblique) threw a 41-pitch bullpen before Friday's game against the Nationals, Theo Mackie of the Arizona Republic reports.

The next step will be to have him pitch in the Arizona Complex League. That'll be the first time Davies pitches in a live game situation since he suffered an oblique strain April 8 against the Dodgers. The right-hander will need to make multiple starts in the minors before he can rejoin the Arizona rotation, likely toward the end of May.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed Friday that Kershaw will start Wednesday's game against the Brewers, Matthew Moreno of Dodgersblue.com reports.

Kershaw, who is also starting Friday, will start Wednesday's contest after Gavin Stone was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City after a disappointing MLB debut against the Phillies. Kershaw has been excellent in 2023, and he'll be making that start against the Brewers on regular rest.

An MRI taken Friday on Wright's shoulder revealed a shoulder strain, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

There's no timetable for the right-hander to return from the IL, but Wright will miss at least the next two weeks. The good news is there's no structural damage, so it doesn't appear the strain will be something that could end the 27-year-old's campaign.

Stone was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.

Stone struggled in his MLB debut against the Phillies on Wednesday, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks over four innings. He's considered one of the team's top pitching prospects, and while he's heading back to Oklahoma City for now, he stands a good chance of making starts for the Dodgers again this summer.

Matz is listed as the Cardinals' probable starter Sunday against the Tigers, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

There has been some thought that Matthew Liberatore might get the call to take Matz's rotation spot, but Jones also notes that Liberatore is the listed starter at Triple-A Memphis on Saturday. Matz is seemingly going to get at least one more turn before perhaps sliding into a bullpen role. He is 0-4 with a 6.39 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 31:15 K:BB through 31 innings (six starts) this season with St. Louis.

Woodford was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday with right shoulder inflammation, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Woodford lost his rotation spot Thursday and is now also off the active 26-man roster as he works through a bout of shoulder trouble. The 26-year-old right-hander leaves behind a 5.40 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 18:11 K:BB through 30 innings of work this season for St. Louis.

Senzatela was activated Friday from the 15-day injured list.

Recovered from the torn left ACL he suffered last August, Senzatela is all set to make his 2023 debut in a start Friday against the Mets at Citi Field. He struggled on his two-start minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque, yielding seven earned runs on 13 hits over 6.1 innings, so expectations should be rather low. There could be a bit of fantasy streaming appeal in the long run once he settles into the Colorado rotation.

Velasquez was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday with right elbow inflammation.

After being pulled from his start Thursday due to injury, Velasquez initially expressed optimism about his injury, calling it "nothing too severe." Instead, he will be out for at least two weeks, as the injury is apparently worse than expected. He will be replaced on the roster by Chase De Jong (back), who was activated from a rehab assignment Friday.

Sanchez experienced some slight right shoulder soreness after his last extended spring training outing, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

It's not ideal given Sanchez's lengthy history of shoulder problems, but the Marlins believe it's unrelated to the right-hander's surgery and they intend to have him back on a throwing program Monday. Sanchez hasn't made a game appearance at any level since 2020.

Rogers (biceps) will begin a throwing program Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rogers will play catch before progressing to long toss, bullpen sessions, live batting practice and eventually a rehab assignment. The left-hander has been on the shelf since late April with a strained left biceps and is likely several weeks away from a return.
