Irvin is scheduled to start Monday's game against the Giants at Oracle Park, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

After limiting the Cubs to one earned run on two hits and four walks over 4.1 innings in a no-decision in his MLB debut last Wednesday, Irvin will be rewarded with at least one more turn through the rotation. Whether he sticks with the Nationals beyond Monday's outing will likely hinge on how he performs in San Francisco. If he does acquit himself well against the Giants, Irvin would likely line up for two-start week, with his second outing likely to come next Sunday versus the Mets in Washington, D.C.

Suarez (elbow) permitted one earned run on four hits and no walks while striking out three across five innings Sunday in his rehab start for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

The start was the third overall of Suarez's rehab assignment, and his second straight with the Phillies' top affiliate. According to Matt Gelb of The Athletic, the Phillies were targeting Suarez for 65 pitches Sunday, but he ended with just 48 (35 strikes). The light workload was likely a result of Suarez mowing down the opposing Scranton/Wilkes-Barre hitters with remarkable efficiency, and it's possible that he may have completed a short bullpen session following his departure from the game to build up his pitch count. Barring any setbacks with his left elbow, Suarez is still expected to be activated from the 15-day injured list to make his 2023 debut with the Phillies next weekend against the Rockies, though he won't make for a recommended option in fantasy lineups with that start set to come at hitter-friendly Coors Field.

Manager Brian Snitker wouldn't commit to Fried starting Wednesday versus Boston or Friday at Toronto, and the skipper also didn't specify if the left-hander is injured, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Fried surrendered seven runs (five earned) across six-plus innings last Friday against the Orioles, but there was no indication after the contest he might be dealing with the injury. Atlanta has scheduled off days Monday and Thursday this week, so the team could simply be weighing whether or not to give their ace some extra rest. There's no injury to report at the moment, but it's worth keeping an eye on Fried until the team provides some more information on his next outing.

Houser (groin) was activated from the 15-day injured list to start Sunday against the Giants, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Houser opened the season in the injured list with a groin injury but is ready to join the big-league rotation after a four-game rehab stint with Triple-A Nashville, during which he allowed five runs with a 12:5 K:BB in 14.2 frames. The 30-year-old threw 80 pitches over five innings during the final rehab outing, so he should be cleared for close to a full workload in his season debut Sunday in San Francisco.

Wood (hamstring) will begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Wood has been sidelined since suffering a left hamstring strain April 18 versus the Marlins. It's unclear if he'll need more than one rehab appearance before he's cleared to rejoin the Giants' rotation. Once Wood is healthy, Ross Stripling will likely move back to the bullpen.

Gore pitched six innings against Arizona on Saturday, allowing two runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out nine batters. He did not factor in the decision.

After lasting just four frames against the Cubs in his previous trip to the mound, Gore rebounded with his third quality start across his past four contests Saturday. The southpaw fell one shy of his campaign high by racking up nine punchouts, and he issued just one walk, his fewest so far this season. Gore has shown marked improvement over his uneven 2022 rookie campaign, posting a 3.65 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 48:19 K:BB across 37 innings. If he can work to keep the free passes down, Gore could become an even more attractive option in fantasy leagues, though he's already worth rostering in all but very shallow formats.

Henry did not factor in the decision against Washington on Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three batters over six innings.

Henry was efficient in the outing, throwing 53 of 75 pitches for a strike and completing six frames for the first time in the majors this season. Despite this strong effort, the southpaw hasn't done much to make an impression in fantasy circles, as he's posted a 5.17 ERA and 7:7 K:BB across 15.2 innings. Henry's next start is tentatively lined up to come at home against San Francisco.

Falter (0-6) took the loss against Boston on Saturday, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 3.2 innings.

Falter was perfect through three frames, but he imploded in the fourth. In that inning, he got only two outs and yielded six hits along with one walk, leading to five Red Sox runs. The southpaw has taken a loss in six of his seven outings this season, though this was only the second time he's given up more than four runs. With Ranger Suarez (elbow) headed back to the rotation next weekend, the Phillies are opting to move Matt Strahm to the bullpen, but Falter may need to show marked improvement moving forward if he's going to hold on to a starting role for the entire campaign.

Strider allowed two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out 10 batters over five innings against Baltimore on Saturday. He did not factor in the decision.

Strider was outstanding against Baltimore, inducing 21 swinging strikes and notching double-digit punchouts for the second time this season. However, he threw a hefty 95 pitches over five frames, causing him to miss out on a chance at a quality start. The right-hander was in position for a victory when he departed, but a pair of sixth-inning Orioles runs stuck him with a no-decision and ended his personal three-game winning streak. Strider has thus far avoided any sort of sophomore slump after a fabulous rookie campaign last season. He leads MLB with 67 strikeouts and has posted a 2.70 ERA and 0.93 WHIP across 40 innings.

Megill (3-2) took the loss Saturday as the Mets fell 5-2 to the Rockies, giving up three runs on six hits and three walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out four.

The right-hander wasn't particularly sharp, throwing only 58 of 96 pitches for strikes, but he also didn't get much help from his offense as the Mets never led in the game. Megill will take a 4.33 ERA and 27:18 K:BB through 35.1 innings into his next start, likely to come on the road next weekend against the Nationals.
