Kauffmann (0-1) allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings Friday, striking out four and taking a loss against Texas.

Kauffmann looked solid through three scoreless frames before the Rangers finally broke through in the fourth inning. He coughed up a two-run shot to Adolis Garcia and was charged with three more runs in the fifth. Kauffmann had a 7.78 ERA with Triple-A Albuquerque prior to his promotion for Friday's start. It's unclear if he'll get another turn in the rotation.

Carrasco yielded five runs on five hits and two walks over five innings during Friday's win over Cleveland. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Carrasco stumbled out of the gate, coughing up a three-run shot to Josh Naylor in the first inning followed by another run in the second. It was Carrasco's first start since April 15 after missing the last month with an elbow injury. He's allowed at least five runs in three of his four starts this season, resulting in an unsightly 8.68 ERA. Carrasco is currently lined up to face the Cubs in Chicago next week.

Elder allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk over six-plus innings during Friday's win over the Mariners. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.

Elder was dominant for most of Friday's outing, tossing six shutout frames while just one baserunner reached scoring position. He was then charged with two runs after putting three straight batters on base without recording an out in the seventh. Elder forced a career-high 14 whiffs, his first time hitting the double-digit mark in that category since April 26. The second-year righty now owns a 2.06 ERA and a 45:15 K:BB through nine starts. Elder is lined up for a home outing against the Dodgers next week.

Rogers (biceps) will throw a 35-pitch bullpen session some time this weekend at the Marlins' spring training facility, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rogers started a throwing program two weeks ago as he continues his recovery from a left biceps strain that has sidelined him since late April. He will likely need to throw several bullpens before going on a rehab assignment, but assuming all goes well Rogers could rejoin the Miami rotation late in May or in the early part of June.

Cueto (biceps/ankle) has resumed playing catch, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Cueto was in "no throw" mode last week, but the right-hander is now able to at least play catch while he recovers from a sprained ankle on top of the right biceps injury that has bothered him since the start of the year. He will likely need to make a couple of rehab starts before he's ready to join the Marlins' rotation, although with Eury Perez now in the majors it's not clear if there will be room for the 37-year-old Cueto.

An MRI revealed no structural damage in Stripling's back, and he'll be re-evaluated over the weekend, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Stripling was placed on the injured list with a lower-back strain. He's eligible to return to the Giants at the start of June, and the fact that no structural damage was found could give him a shot at returning in the minimum amount of time.

Carrasco (elbow) was activated from the 15-day injured list Friday.

As expected, Carrasco will rejoin the Mets rotation after missing over a month due to a bone spur in his elbow. He threw only 52 pitches in his final minor-league rehab start Sunday with Double-A Binghamton, and while that was enough to cover four scoreless frames, he could see a limited workload in his return.

Miley (lat/rib) is likely to be sidelined 6-8 weeks, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Miley was placed on the injured list Wednesday and has been diagnosed with a posterior serratus strain around the left side of his rib cage. The best-case scenario calls for him to return to Milwaukee's starting rotation by the end of June. He had registered a 3.67 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 24:9 K:BB through 41.2 innings (eight starts) this season.

Morton will get extra rest and make his next start Monday against the Dodgers, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Morton had been lined up to work Saturday's game against the Mariners, but that is now listed as a TBA spot for Atlanta. The veteran right-hander racked up a season-high 10 strikeouts across 6.2 scoreless frames in his last turn this past Monday versus the Rangers and boasts a 2.85 ERA with 49 strikeouts through 47.1 total innings (eight starts) this year.

Williamson will make his second major-league start Monday at home against the Cardinals, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Williamson looked sharp in his debut for the Reds this past Tuesday versus the Rockies, tallying six strikeouts over 5.2 innings of one-run ball. St. Louis has picked it up offensively, but the 25-year-old left-hander might be worthy of streaming consideration given Tuesday's results and his prospect pedigree.
