Ashcraft (calf) is expected to return from the 15-day injured list and rejoin Cincinnati's rotation this weekend against Atlanta, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The Reds have an off day Thursday and then will slot Ashcraft in sometime this weekend in place of the injured Hunter Greene (hip). Ashcraft is first eligible for activation Friday, and he doesn't look as though he'll require a rehab assignment prior to being activated. The big right-hander is working his way back from a left calf contusion.

Greene was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday with right hip pain.

Greene has battled the hip issue for a few weeks now, having a start skipped at one point and feeling renewed discomfort during his last outing Saturday in Houston. It doesn't seem like an injury which will lead to an extended absence, but more should be known about a potential timetable for the hard-throwing right-hander in the coming days.

Sanchez (shoulder) has yet to resume throwing, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Sanchez had been scheduled to throw off a mound late last month. It's not clear whether that session got cancelled or it happened and he had another setback, but either way Sanchez is shut down again. The righty hasn't made a game appearance at any level since 2020 due to several shoulder problems.

Gasser went 3-0 with a 2.42 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 27:4 K:BB in 26.0 innings over his last four starts with Triple-A Nashville.

Gasser owned a 5.36 ERA as recently as May 30, but thanks to his latest stretch that mark has fallen more than a full run since. He is one of the better pitching prospects in Milwaukee's system, and if he can continue limiting the walks -- and in turn the runs -- he could garner consideration should the Brewers need to bring up a starter from the minors.

Ortiz did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over 4.2 innings against the Brewers. He struck out six.

Ortiz tied his season high with six strikeouts and allowed just one run, but he couldn't get through the fifth inning, snapping a two-game streak. The right-hander continues to struggle with walks, allowing multiple free passes in seven straight appearances. During that stretch, Ortiz boasts a 4.41 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and an ugly 25:19 K:BB. With numerous injuries to Pittsburgh's pitching staff, Oritz figures to have a steady role in the rotation moving forward, and his next start is lined up for a road matchup versus Miami.

Peralta did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks over six innings in a 5-2 victory over Pittsburgh. He struck out nine.

Peralta recorded at least nine strikeouts for just the third time this season and notched his eighth quality start of the year. Despite the strong outing Sunday, the right-hander continues to struggle with the long ball, allowing at least one home run in seven straight appearances (10 total). During that stretch, Peralta holds a 6.06 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 4.0 BB/9, but he's still been striking batters out at high rate, totaling 38 strikeouts over his last 35.2 innings (9.6 K/9). Peralta remains a steady part of Milwaukee's rotation, and his next start is lined up for a road matchup against the Guardians.

Quintana (ribs) gave up two unearned runs on two hits over 3.1 innings for Single-A St. Lucie on Sunday. He struck out four without walking a batter.

Saturday's game between St. Lucie and Palm Beach was suspended after one inning due to rain, so Quintana took the mound for the second inning when play resumed Sunday rather than starting the officially scheduled contest later in the day. The 34-year-old southpaw built up to 46 pitches (30 strikes), and assuming he stays on schedule his next rehab outing would come Friday, likely against stiffer competition. Quintana has yet to make his Mets debut after signing a two-year, $26 million contract with the team in the offseason, but he appears to be on track to join the big-league rotation in early July.

Wesneski allowed one run across three innings of relief in Sunday's loss to the Orioles. He gave up three hits and struck out two.

Wesneski covered the last three innings of the game in a long-relief role and kept the Cubs around in an eventual 6-3 defeat. The righty has bookended two good appearances around two bad performances his last four games, giving him a 5.65 ERA across 14.1 innings in the span. That includes allowing five runs over three innings his last time out June 11. For the season, Wesneski is sitting with a 5.20 ERA. He may be able to reenter the rotation at some point, though for now he figures to keep working as a long reliever, which limits his fantasy appeal.

Webb (6-6) allowed two runs on eight hits and two walks over seven innings Sunday, striking out five and earning a win over the Dodgers.

Webb tossed three scoreless frames before the Dodgers plated a run in each of the fourth and fifth innings. It was the first time he allowed fewer than three runs since May 27, and he dropped his season ERA to 3.11. After starting the year 0-4, Webb is 6-2 with a 2.53 ERA over his last 11 starts. He'll carry a 96:19 K:BB into his next start, which is projected to be at home against the Diamondbacks.

Gonsolin (4-2) yielded seven runs on six hits and three walks over 5.2 innings Sunday, striking out seven and taking a loss against the Giants.

Gonsolin looked strong through three perfect frames before things began to unravel. While it was his first time allowing more than three runs in an outing this year, he also racked up a season-high seven punchouts. Gonsolin had registered a 1.93 ERA while going 4-0 over his previous six starts before Sunday. Despite the poor outing, Gonsolin is sporting a 2.92 ERA with a 43:21 K:BB across 10 starts. His next start is lined up to be at home against the Astros.
