The Pirates optioned Bido to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Bido was charged with four runs (three earned) over four innings against Atlanta on Monday, leaving him with a 7.11 ERA since the All-Star break. It's uncertain who will replace Bido in the Pittsburgh rotation, but the Pirates may be ready to give Luis Ortiz another look.

Falter is scheduled to start Thursday's game against Atlanta at PNC Park.

After being acquired from the Phillies on Tuesday, Falter immediately reported to the Pirates and stepped in as the club's new No. 5 starter, filling the spot in the rotation that opened up when Rich Hill was dealt to the Padres earlier in the week. In his first big-league appearance since May 15 this past Saturday, Falter acquitted himself well in his Pirates debut, taking a no-decision while limiting the Brewers to one earned run on six hits and one walk. Despite the solid results against Milwaukee, Falter doesn't profile as a trustworthy streaming option while taking on a much stronger Atlanta offense that leads the majors in home runs by a wide margin (213 to 181) and ranks second in batting average (.270) this season.

Megill is scheduled to start Friday's game against Atlanta at Citi Field.

He'll pick up a second straight turn through the New York rotation following last week's trade that sent Justin Verlander to Houston. After returning from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday to make his first appearance for the Mets since June 21, Megill took a loss against the Orioles while giving up five earned runs on nine hits and zero walks over 4.2 innings. He now sits on a 5.45 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 61:39 K:BB in 76 innings over 16 starts with the Mets this season, and those poor ratios should mostly keep him off the fantasy radar outside of NL-only leagues.

Peterson is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Cubs at Citi Field.

Peterson will be making his second straight turn through the rotation as a replacement for Max Scherzer, who was traded to the Rangers on July 29. Since he had been working out of the bullpen for nearly a month, Peterson was limited to just three innings and 52 pitches in his most recent start Friday against the Orioles. The lefty should be able to work longer into Wednesday's outing, though he still could struggle to reach the five innings he would need to qualify for a win.

Wood is expected to serve as the Giants' primary pitcher behind opener Scott Alexander in Tuesday's game against the Angels, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Wood has made his last two appearances as a bulk reliever, tossing three scoreless innings July 26 against the Athletics and 2.2 innings of two-run ball July 31 against the Diamondbacks. Considering he'll be available on seven days' rest, Wood should be capable of handling a heavier workload than he did his previous two times out, though the Giants don't necessarily have a need for him to overextend himself with Sean Manaea and Jakob Junis both relatively fresh and available to cover multiple innings themselves, if needed.

Smyly (8-8) took the loss against the Mets on Monday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out five batters over five-plus innings.

It was another uninspiring performance by Smyly, who was victimized by two Pete Alonso homers within the first three innings that accounted for five of the runs against him. Despite the long balls, the left-handed hurler managed to get through five frames without completely falling apart, but he allowed three straight singles to open the sixth and then departed after walking in a run. Smyly has given up 12 runs over 9.2 innings across his past two starts and has surrendered at least four earned runs in six of eight outings dating back to June 28. That poor stretch has lifted his ERA from a respectable 3.37 to 5.05.

Senga (8-6) earned the win over the Cubs on Monday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six batters over six innings.

The Mets jumped ahead 3-0 after one frame, and Senga kept Chicago in check to record his first win since July 5. The right-hander didn't allow any extra-base hits and threw 57 of 85 pitches for strikes in a relatively efficient effort. The quality start was Senga's fourth over his past six contests, a span in which he's posted a 2.57 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 41:11 K:BB over 35 innings. With the Mets having traded both Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer, Senga has become the team's de facto ace.

Webb allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits and struck out six without walking a batter over 5.2 innings. He did not factor in the decision Monday versus the Angels.

Webb was solid but faded in the sixth inning. He was in line for the loss when he exited, but J.D. Davis' solo home run in the seventh inning tied the game at 2-2 to get Webb off the hook. The San Francisco ace has shown steady control lately, posting a 34:2 K:BB over 37.1 innings across his last six starts. He's at a 3.38 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 151:25 K:BB through 154.1 innings over 24 starts on the year. Webb is projected for a challenging home start versus the Rangers this weekend.

Bido allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits over four innings in Monday's win over Atlanta. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Bido was untouchable through three perfect frames but Atlanta's bats got going and plated four runs in the fourth inning. He's coughed up 10 earned runs over his last 12.2 innings, raising his season ERA from 4.44 to 5.35 in the process. The rookie hasn't thrown more than four frames in an outing since June 24. Bido is lined up to face the Reds at home this weekend.

Peralta (8-8) allowed a run on one hit while striking out 13 without walking a batter over seven innings to earn the win Monday over the Rockies.

Peralta had an excellent start, with the lone blemish being Ezequiel Tovar's solo home run in the first inning. This was the second time in Peralta's last three starts that he dialed up 13 strikeouts, and four of his last five outings have been quality starts. He's now at a 4.28 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 151:45 K:BB through 122 innings over 22 starts this season. The right-hander is projected to face the White Sox on the road over the weekend.
