Connor Prielipp SP | MIN
Twins' Connor Prielipp: Next start pushed back
The Twins will push back Prielipp's next start by a day or two and will call up Zebby Matthews to start Thursday's game against the Marlins, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
The Twins are looking to limit Prielipp's usage given that he's never pitched more than 83.2 innings in a professional season and has had two career Tommy John surgeries on his resume. The left-hander has pitched well in his first four big-league starts, posting a 3.32 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 21:7 K:BB across 19 innings.

Blue Jays' Dylan Cease: Sharp again in no-decision
Cease did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Rays, allowing a run on three hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out nine.
While Toronto failed to take the lead until the 10th inning, leaving Cease with a no-decision, it was another excellent outing from the right-hander, who's now gone seven innings in each of his last three starts. Cease's ERA is down to 2.41 across nine starts (52.1 innings) with a 1.18 WHIP and 75 strikeouts, good for second most in the majors. He'll look to keep rolling his next time out, tentatively lined up for next week on the road against the Yankees.

Framber Valdez SP | DET
Tigers' Framber Valdez: No-decision after suspension
Valdez did not factor into Wednesday's decision against the Mets, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven across 6.2 innings.
Valdez took to the mound Wednesday after serving a five-game suspension for throwing at Trevor Story during the Tigers' 10-3 loss to the Red Sox on May 5. Valdez limited the Mets to just one run through six innings but was tagged for another run in the seventh that tied the game at 2-2. He logged 17 first-pitch strikes and generated 11 whiffs on 106 pitches (72 strikes), which is the first time he's cracked the century mark this season. It was the sixth quality start of the season for Valdez, who has a 4.32 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 42:17 K:BB across 50 innings. He's lined up to face the Guardians at home next week.

It was the fourth game in a row that he allowed at least 10 baserunners, and over that span he has produced a dreadful 7.59 ERA, 2.16 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB across 21.1 innings. Schultz faced the minimum number of batters through three innings but yielded three runs and five baserunners in the fourth. He was unable to finish the fifth inning to potentially put himself in position for a win and ended his night having tossed 38 strikes on 76 pitches while inducing just four whiffs. Schultz has given up at least three earned runs in three of six outings this season and sports a 4.91 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and a 26:21 K:BB across 29.1 innings. Reid Detmers SP | LAA
Angels' Reid Detmers: Fans six in Wednesday's loss
Detmers (1-4) took the loss Wednesday, giving up four runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks over 5.2 innings as the Angels were downed 4-2 by the Guardians. He struck out six.
A leadoff homer by Angel Martinez set the tone, but it was Detmers' inability to control Cleveland's running game with Sebastian Rivero behind the plate that proved just as costly -- the Guardians went 5-for-5 on steal attempts against the battery, with Martinez and Jose Ramirez each swiping two. Detmers was lifted after 102 pitches (60 strikes) and remains in search of his first win since April 14. He'll take a 4.38 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 53:17 K:BB through 49.1 innings into his next start, which is set to come at home early next week against the A's.

A fifth-inning double by Jazz Chisholm accounted for the only knock off Bradish, with three Baltimore relievers completing the combined shutout. The right-hander has produced back-to-back quality starts and has lasted at least five innings in seven straight trips to the mound, a stretch in which he's delivered a 3.76 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 42:19 K:BB over 38.1 innings. Bradish will look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road early next week in Tampa Bay.

Eovaldi (side) threw a bullpen session without issue Wednesday and expects to make his next scheduled start Sunday in Houston, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.

However, he has bounced back quickly and appears poised to miss only the one turn through the rotation. The veteran right-hander has been excellent in his last two starts, logging a 0.60 ERA, 0.53 WHIP and 15:1 K:BB.
