Scherzer (thumb) is tentatively scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Scherzer had a successful 50-pitch simulated game Sunday and will throw a bullpen session Tuesday or Wednesday. Assuming he comes out of that without a setback, he'll be cleared for a formal rehab start Friday. Scherzer is slated for 60-to-65 pitches in the outing with Buffalo and would require at least one additional rehab start after that before returning from the 60-day injured list. The 40-year-old has been out since late March with right thumb inflammation.

The Blue Jays have promoted Yesavage from High-A Vancouver to Double-A New Hampshire, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Yesavage will make his Double-A debut later this week after collecting a dominant 2.13 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 88:19 K:BB over 50.2 innings covering 11 starts between Single-A Dunedin and Vancouver. The 21-year-old was the 20th overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft.

Bradford (elbow) threw breaking balls during a May 31 bullpen session and is hopeful to resume facing hitters this week during the Rangers' road series in Minnesota, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Bradford has thrown multiple bullpen sessions over the past month and has gradually increased the volume and intensity of those workouts while also incorporating more breaking pitches. The southpaw has been on the shelf all season with a left elbow sprain, but he noted after his May 31 side session that his "UCL is repaired back to normal." Assuming the Rangers plan to have Bradford get stretched back out as a starter whenever he's cleared to begin a minor-league rehab assignment, he may not be ready to return from the injured list until shortly before or after the All-Star break.

Cameron is slated to start Tuesday's game against the Yankees.

Even though the Kansas City rotation is back to full strength after Cole Ragans returned from the injured list last week, Cameron will get another start while manager Matt Quatraro has seemingly opted to move forward with a six-man starting staff for at least one more turn. The 25-year-old southpaw has had an excellent start to his big-league career with an 0.85 ERA and 0.79 WHIP in 31.2 innings, though a weak 7.6 K-BB% suggests that some performance regression is likely headed his way.

Arrighetti (thumb) played catch from 70 feet while traveling with the team during its weekend series against Cleveland, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Arrighetti has made slow progress since breaking his thumb in early April. The injury is now completely healed, but he is building back up as if it were spring training. As a result, Arrighetti is not expected to return until July.

McClanahan (triceps) threw a successful bullpen session Friday, MLB.com reports.

Rays manager Kevin Cash confirmed that McClanahan's side session went well, and while the Rays aren't yet putting a firm timeline on the left-hander's return from the 60-day injured list, president of baseball operations Erik Neander suggested a week ago that McClanahan may be out until "somewhere in late July or early August." McClanahan will likely gradually increase the intensity and volume of his side sessions over the next couple of weeks before advancing to facing hitters in live batting practice.

Sugano (5-4) took the loss Sunday against the Athletics, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits and one walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Sugano allowed eight hits for the second time in three appearances, and he failed to complete five innings for the first time since April 12. The 35-year-old has been solid over his last four outings, sporting a 3.57 ERA and a 13:3 K:BB across 22.2 innings. He hasn't allowed more than four runs in a start this season. Sugano is slated to face the Angels next weekend.

Lopez didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Baltimore, allowing one unearned run on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts over four innings.

Lopez allowed 12 runs and five homers across six innings over his last two appearances, but he fared much better Sunday. Lopez has flashed some elite strikeout stuff, fanning eight or more batters in two of his last four outings, though he's stumbled to a 7.20 ERA in 24 innings this season. He's tentatively scheduled to make another start next weekend at Kansas City.

Kirby (1-3) picked up the win Sunday against the Angels, allowing two runs on two hits and no walks with 14 strikeouts over seven innings.

Kirby set a career high in strikeouts Sunday, besting his previous record of 12 and marking his fifth career start with double-digit Ks. The only damage against Kirby came in the fourth inning, when Taylor Ward swatted a two-run home run. Kirby's performance should allow fantasy managers to take a sigh of relief, as the historically reliable 27-year-old tallied an 8.57 ERA over his first three starts this season. He's tentatively scheduled to face the Guardians next time out.

Anderson (2-3) took the loss Sunday against Seattle, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

Anderson yielded three doubles on the day and failed to make it through the fifth inning, getting pulled after throwing 94 pitches. He allowed seven or more hits for the fourth time in his last five starts while owning a 6.57 ERA, a 1.79 WHIP and an 18:10 K:BB over 24.2 innings during that stretch. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, which is tentatively scheduled to occur next weekend at Baltimore.
