McClanahan (3-2) allowed three runs on four hits and a pair of walks over six innings while striking out seven to earn the victory over the Angels on Saturday.

The Angels were only able to get to the rookie hurler in the third inning, picking up all three of their runs on doubles by Shohei Ohtani and Anthony Rendon. McClanahan has provided back-to-back quality starts while posting a 15:3 K:BB in those two outings. In 11 starts overall, McClanahan owns a 4.09 ERA and 1.26 WHIP. His next start lines up for next Saturday against Toronto.

General manager Brian Cashman said Saturday that Kluber (shoulder) is not expected to rejoin the starting rotation until August or September, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Kluber has been working his way back from a subscapularis strain in his right shoulder that has sidelined him since late May. He extended his throwing distance to 75 feet earlier this week but still figures to be a ways away from throwing off a mound. Cashman said the right-hander could return in August but noted that a September activation from the 60-day IL appears more likely at this point.

Matz will return from the COVID-19 injured list to start Wednesday against Seattle, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Matz tested positive for COVID-19 in mid-June. He was able to throw while in isolation, however, and returned to the team to throw 60 pitches of live batting practice Thursday. As such, his workload should not be limited too much in his return.

Manoah accepted his five-game suspension Saturday, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.

Manoah initially appealed his suspension for intentionally throwing at Maikel Franco, but he'll begin serving his punishment Saturday. The right-hander started Friday's contest, and he'll be eligible to return July 2. Steven Matz (illness) is slated to return next week, so he'll likely start early in the week since Manoah tentatively lines up to start at home against the Rays on Friday.

Sale (elbow) threw 15 pitches during live batting practice Saturday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Although Sale threw slightly fewer pitches than expected, manager Alex Cora said that the left-hander looked good during his throwing session. The 32-year-old is slated to face hitters at Fenway Park again next week, and he could begin a rehab assignment afterward.

Maeda won't start Saturday against Cleveland, as the game has been postponed due to rain, but will pitch Monday against the White Sox instead, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Saturday's game won't be made up Sunday but will instead be made up as part of a doubleheader in September. J.A. Happ will stay on schedule for his Sunday start, with Maeda getting two extra days of rest. That should line him up for a two-start week next week, as he'd be on turn to face the Royals on Saturday.

Dunn already has or will be meeting with a specialist regarding his shoulder strain, and manager Scott Servais expects to possibly have an update at some point this weekend, the Associated Press reports.

Servais wasn't certain if Dunn's appointment had unfolded Friday or not, but more information about the right-hander's condition should be imminent. Dunn was shut down from throwing for at least two weeks when first placed on the injured list June 18, so it appears he'll return shortly before the All-Star break in a best-case scenario.

On an appearance on Chris Rose's Rotation podcast Friday, Glasnow (elbow) expressed that he was "pretty optimistic about being able to come back sooner than later" based on how his arm is currently feeling, the team's official site reports.

While it's only Glasnow's opinion, the sentiment is nevertheless encouraging for fantasy managers and the Rays alike. The right-hander added that he felt he would "probably be back before the playoffs and then be able to play in the playoffs" based on his current condition, but a much more tangible prognosis will likely be possible once Glasnow resumes throwing sometime in July.

Sale (elbow) will throw 20 pitches to live hitters from the mound at Fenway Park on Saturday.

This will be the first time Sale has had pitcher-batter competition of any kind since spring training in 2020. Red Sox manager Alex Cora feels Sale will need one more session against hitters before the team sends him off on a rehab assignment.

Perez didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 5-3 win over the Yankees, allowing three unearned runs on six hits and two walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.

The southpaw avoided any damage to his ERA thanks to a Xander Bogaerts error in New York's three-run second inning, but this was still a shaky outing for Perez, who tossed 44 of 67 pitches for strikes before getting the hook. He hasn't lasted more than five innings in four straight starts, and Perez will carry a 4.09 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 60:26 K:BB through 70.1 innings into his next trip to the mound.
