Severino (elbow/groin) threw off a bullpen mound Saturday, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.

The Yankees were hopeful that Severino could resume mound work by July 4, and he was able to meet that goal during Saturday's bullpen session. The right-hander has been recovering from Tommy John surgery to begin the year, but his rehab was delayed in mid-June due to a Grade 2 groin strain. A better idea of Severino's return timetable could be revealed based on how he responds after he threw 20-25 pitches Saturday, though for now it sounds like he could return to the Yankees by early August if he stays on track in his recovery.

Farrell (oblique) has "slowed" in his recovery, according to manager Rocco Baldelli, and has not yet started throwing, MLB.com reports.

Farrell landed on the injured list June 25 and it sounds like he'll be out several weeks or more with an oblique strain.

Gilbert allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out six over 5.2 innings Friday against the Rangers. He did not factor into the decision.

Gilbert was cruising early on before allowing two runs to score in the third due to a pair of errors in the inning. He got through a clean fourth, but then allowed a third run to cross home in the fifth on an RBI double off the bat of Charlie Culberson. The 24-year-old came back out for the sixth and was able to record two outs, but Gilbert was then replaced by Kenyan Middleton with his pitch count at 101. Overall, Gilbert has held his own pretty well with a 4.10 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 45:10 K:BB over 41.2 innings. He's lined up for a home matchup against the Yankees next week.

Singer didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 7-4 win over the Twins, giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks over three innings. He struck out four.

Minnesota jumped on the right-hander for three runs in the top of the first inning, and after he escaped a bases-loaded jam in the third with no further damage, Singer got the hook. The 24-year-old has failed to complete four innings in three of his last four outings, and it might be fair to wonder if the shoulder tightness he reported in mid-June is still an issue. On the season, Singer carries a 4.74 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 85:35 K:BB through 79.2 innings.

Gibson allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out seven over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Friday.

Gibson wasn't at his best, but he scattered baserunners and left after 110 pitches with Texas ahead, 3-1, one out shy of his 13th quality start. The lone blemish was Jake Fraley's fifth-inning home run, the seventh long ball allowed over 95.2 innings (0.7 HR/9). Gibson brings a 1.98 ERA into his next start, which lines up to be Wednesday at home against Detroit.

McCullers (6-1) allowed two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out eight over 5.1 innings to earn the win Friday over Cleveland.

The right-hander was able to pitch around his mistakes until the sixth inning. McCullers put two batters on base before he was relieved by Brooks Raley, who gave up a three-run home run that accounted for all of Cleveland's scoring in the contest. McCullers allowed 10 baserunners for the third time this season, but he was still able to win his third straight start. The 27-year-old owns a 2.97 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 81:39 K:BB across 72.2 innings this year. He is projected to face Oakland in a battle of the AL West's top two teams next week.

Canning allowed six runs on six hits and two walks over 2.2 innings in Friday's win over Baltimore. He did not factor in the decision.

Canning served up a massive 451-foot solo blast to Trey Mancini in the first inning and another solo shot to Domingo Leyba in the second. The Orioles knocked him out of the game after scoring another four runs in the third, including a three-run double by Anthony Santander. Canning had allowed just five earned runs through 16.2 innings over his last three outings before Friday's rough start. His ERA shot up to 5.60 alongside a 62:28 K:BB through 62.2 innings. Canning in lined up to pitch in Seattle next week.

Mize (5-5) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out four in three innings Friday, taking the loss versus the White Sox.

Mize wasn't very efficient, throwing 34 of 56 pitches for strikes in his shortest outing this year. The 24-year-old was stuck with the loss as Detroit's offense didn't show much in the contest. He's pitched to a solid 3.55 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 75:27 K:BB across 91.1 innings. Detroit may elect to be cautious with the young starter at times over the second half of the season to reduce the risk of injury in his first full major-league campaign. He lines up for a road start in Texas next week.

Montas allowed two runs on five hits and three walks over 5.2 innings in Friday's loss to Boston. He struck out three and did not factor in the decision.

Montas rolled through three shutout innings to start the outing before coughing up RBI base hits to Rafael Devers and Alex Verdugo in the fourth and fifth frames. He's given up two earned runs and pitched at least five innings in four of his last five starts, lowering his ERA to 4.63. He maintained his 7-7 record after a second consecutive no-decision. Montas is projected to take the mound in Houston next week.

Lynn (8-3) allowed a run on four hits and five walks while striking out nine in six innings to earn the win over Detroit on Friday.

The right-hander's five walks were a season high, and he also allowed nine baserunners for the third time in his last four outings. In Friday's start, Lynn was able to limit the damage to earn his first win since June 3. The 34-year-old has a strong 2.02 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 99:28 K:BB across 84.2 innings this year. His next start is scheduled for next week versus Minnesota.
