Wells (wrist) is expected to be reinstated from the 10-day injured list Thursday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Wells suffered a small setback last weekend, but he faced hitters Tuesday and will rejoin Baltimore's bullpen ahead of Thursday's series finale against the Tigers. The right-hander had been on the injured list since July 20 due to right wrist tendinitis, but he's recorded a 3.92 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in 43.2 innings across 29 relief appearances in his first major-league season.

The Red Sox are expected to recall Houck from Triple-A Worcester to start Thursday's game against the Rays, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Boston hasn't officially announced that Houck will slot back into the rotation for the series finale, but there's little doubt the team is keeping a spot open for the rookie after manager Alex Cora announced Wednesday that Garrett Richards would transition to a bullpen role moving forward. Though the Red Sox have taken advantage of Houck having minor-league options remaining by swapping him to and from the active roster based on their schedule, the constant movement from Worcester to Boston hasn't phased the right-hander. Through his seven outings (five starts) with the Red Sox this season, Houck has submitted a 2.45 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and a 36:7 K:BB in 25.2 innings.

Kaprielian reported no setbacks with his previously ailing shoulder following his six-inning start against the Rangers on Sunday, the Associated Press reports.

The young right-hander returned from the injured list after spending the minimum 10 days sidelined. Kaprielian encouragingly shouldered a normal workload during the outing, and he should therefore be prepared for the same moving forward.

Suarez (5-5) was tagged with the loss in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays after allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk across 5.1 innings. He struck out two.

Suarez got off to a rough start and gave up two runs in the first inning, and while he settled down afterwards, he lacked the run support to instigate a potential turnaround. The left-hander departed the game in the top of the sixth after allowing back-to-back singles to Bo Bichette and Teoscar Hernandez, and both would later score on a two-run single by Lourdes Gurriel. The 23-year-old southpaw has given up at least three runs in each of his last four appearances and owns a 5.79 ERA across 28 innings since the beginning of July (six starts).

Odorizzi (5-6) earned the win Tuesday against the Rockies after tossing five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and two walks while fanning three.

Odorizzi was coming off a woeful start the last time out when he gave up seven runs (six earned) across three innings at the Dodgers, but he managed to bounce back here and posted his first scoreless outing since late June. While he wasn't dominant by any means, this outing might act as a confidence booster for Odorizzi after he had allowed 17 runs (16 earned) across 16.1 innings over his previous four starts.

Singer (shoulder) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Wednesday's start against the Yankees, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Singer had been on the injured list since July 20 due to right shoulder fatigue, but he began a rehab assignment at the end of July. The right-hander made two starts at Triple-A Omaha and allowed seven runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out two in 4.2 innings. Singer allowed seven runs in two innings during his most recent major-league start, and he'll attempt to bounce back in Wednesday's series finale.

White Sox manager Tony La Russa said Wednesday that he's not overly optimistic Rodon (shoulder) will be ready to return from the 10-day injured list when first eligible Aug. 18, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.

Rodon had been scheduled to start Thursday's "Field of Dreams" game against the Yankees in Iowa before he was moved to the IL on Wednesday after experiencing left shoulder fatigue/soreness coming out of his most recent throwing session. The southpaw will return to Chicago to undergo further evaluation, and the White Sox expect to have a better idea about the extent of his injury within the next couple of days. La Russa was careful to note that while he isn't counting on Rodon next week, he's not overly concerned about the All-Star's injury either, so fantasy managers are advised to hold Rodon until more news about his health becomes available.

Lynn won't pitch Wednesday in Minnesota as originally planned and will instead start Thursday's "Field of Dreams" game against the Yankees in Dyersville, Iowa, Vinnie Duber of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Since Carlos Rodon (shoulder) was initially in line to start Thursday before being placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, the White Sox elected to adjust their pitching schedule by pushing Lynn back a day. Though Lynn will have the benefit of pitching on extra rest, the prospect of facing a superior Yankees team in an unfamiliar ballpark isn't the most ideal setup. Regardless, fantasy managers should include Lynn in their lineups without much thought, given that he's provided an excellent 2.04 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 130 strikeouts over 114.2 innings on the season.

The White Sox placed Rodon on the 10-day injured list Wednesday due to left shoulder fatigue, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Rodon had been scheduled to start Thursday's game versus the Yankees in Iowa, but the White Sox will be forced to alter their pitching schedule after the All-Star lefty apparently didn't feel quite right coming out of his between-starts bullpen session. Since his IL move is retroactive to Aug. 8, Rodon is eligible to return Aug.18 and may need to miss only one turn through the rotation. With a 9-5 record, 2.38 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 160 strikeouts in 109.2 innings this season, Rodon has been a godsend for those that took a late-round flier on him or scooped him up off the waiver wire back in April.

Matz (9-7) took the loss in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Angels, giving up four runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks over 4.2 innings as the Blue Jays were downed 6-3. He struck out five.

His defense did him no favors, but the southpaw also wasn't very sharp, throwing 59 of 97 pitches for strikes before getting the hook. On the bright side, Matz didn't serve up a homer for his third straight start, and since the beginning of July he sports a 3.45 ERA despite a 1.47 WHIP across six outings and 28.2 innings.
