Cameron (7-6) took the loss against the White Sox on Monday, allowing six runs on eight hits with no walks or strikeouts over five innings.

Cameron struggled from the outset, giving up three first-inning runs on four hits, three of which were doubles. Of the eight knocks the lefty allowed overall, six (four doubles and two homers) went for extra bases. The six earned runs Cameron allowed tied his season-worst mark -- the other time he surrendered that many runs in a start was June 10 against the Yankees. Cameron came into the contest having allowed just three runs over 15.2 frames across his previous three starts, and he'll look to rebound in his next outing, which lines up to come against Detroit on Sunday.

Smith (4-7) earned the win over Kansas City on Monday, allowing one hit and one walk with three strikeouts over seven scoreless innings.

Chicago staked Smith to a 3-0 lead through one frame, and the rookie right-hander rolled with it in arguably his most impressive start of the campaign. Smith was very efficient in needing just 80 pitches (54 strikes) to get through the seven innings, and the only hit he allowed was a Mike Yastrzemski double in the third. The outstanding effort allowed Smith to snap a nine-game winless stretch, a span in which he struggled to a 7.22 ERA and 0-4 record over 38.2 frames. Monday also marked Smith's first quality start since his previous victory, which came June 10 against Houston.

Skubal (11-4) allowed six runs (one earned) on seven hits and struck out 12 without walking a batter over 6.2 innings to take the loss versus the Athletics on Monday.

Skubal didn't give up a run until the sixth inning, when he allowed one on a Jacob Wilson groundout. He stayed in to begin the seventh, and that proved to be a mistake, as Colby Thomas hit a solo shot and Shea Langeliers added a grand slam, although most of the damage to his ERA was mitigated by a Zach McKinstry error. This is just the fourth time all year that Skubal's given up multiple homers, though two of them have come in August. He's allowed 16 runs (11 earned) across 32.1 innings through five starts this month, which is an unusual stretch of middling performance for the dominant southpaw. On the bright side, he reached a double-digit total in strikeouts for the 10th time in 26 starts. Skubal still has a 2.28 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 212:25 K:BB through 166 innings this season. He'll look to bounce back this weekend in a road start versus the Royals.

Ginn allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out eight over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Tigers on Monday.

Ginn matched zeroes with Tarik Skubal through five innings, but the Tigers struck first with three runs in the sixth. The Athletics were able to bounce back, getting Ginn off the hook after a fine but unremarkable performance. He's had mixed results since returning to the rotation in late July, allowing 19 runs (18 earned) over 32.1 innings with a 33:12 K:BB across his last seven outings. Overall, he has a 4.96 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 74:21 K:BB through 65.1 innings over 18 appearances (11 starts) this season. Injuries are piling up among the Athletics' starters, so Ginn can be penciled in for a home start versus the Rangers this weekend.

Miller (3-5) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings to earn the win over the Padres on Monday.

Miller had a terrible second inning, allowing solo shots to Gavin Sheets and Jake Cronenworth and a two-run home run to Fernando Tatis. Other than that, Miller turned in a passable start, though he's still shaking off the rust after missing more than two months due to elbow inflammation. He's allowed eight runs over his last 10 innings while posting an 8:3 K:BB in that span. Overall, he has a 5.98 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 47:26 K:BB through 58.2 innings across 12 starts this season. Miller is projected for a road start in Cleveland this weekend.

Scherzer (5-2) earned the win Monday against Minnesota, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk over six innings with five strikeouts.

The grizzled veteran snapped a streak of five consecutive quality starts but managed to secure his 221st career victory. Outside a pair of homers conceded to Matt Wallner, Scherzer was in control of this game, allowing just three additional baserunners and generating 13 whiffs out of 97 total pitches. The 41-year-old has rounded into a dependable fantasy option once again this season, pitching to a 3.82 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 61:16 K:BB across 66 total frames. Scherzer is tentatively scheduled to make his next appearance at Cincinnati early next week.

Ryan (12-7) took the loss Monday against the Blue Jays, conceding six runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings with seven strikeouts.

The 29-year-old was tagged for six runs for the second time this season, with the previous occurrence happening April 20 at Atlanta. Ryan managed to generate only nine whiffs out of his 93 total pitches, as he coughed up multiple long balls for the third time this season in 25 total starts. After allowing a two-run homer to Alejandro Kirk to cap a four-run first inning, Ryan then gave up a solo shot to Andres Gimenez in the second. The Minnesota right-hander will carry a 3.04 ERA and 0.97 WHIP across 148 total frames into his next matchup, which currently lines up to come against San Diego at home this weekend.

Bibee (9-10) took the loss Monday against the Rays, allowing five runs on eight hits and three walks in six innings. He struck out three.

Bibee hasn't been very reliable lately, as it's now been six consecutive outings and nine of his last 10 without a quality start. Since the beginning of July, the right-hander owns a dismal 6.20 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 50:21 K:BB over 53.2 innings. Bibee will be aiming to steady the ship in his next scheduled appearance against the Mariners, who have a lackluster .683 OPS versus right-handed pitching since the All-Star break.

Schlittler (2-2) tossed six scoreless frames while allowing four hits and three walks with eight strikeouts to earn the win Monday against Washington.

The rookie right-hander dazzled in this 96-pitch appearance, scattering four singles to collect his second quality start. Schlittler posted eight Ks for the second consecutive start, as he generated a solid 13 whiffs. Since the All-Star break, the 24-year-old has been a dependable fantasy pitcher, producing a 2.43 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 39:17 K:BB across 37 innings. Schlittler is currently scheduled to make his next start in the Yankees' upcoming road series against the White Sox this weekend.

Sugano (10-6) took the loss Monday against Boston, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out six.

Although Sugano recorded his most punchouts since July 27 against the Rockies, the four runs given up were his most since July 2 in Texas. The Japanese right-hander has been shaky at times since the beginning of June, turning in a 4.79 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 56:24 K:BB across his last 73.1 frames (14 starts). Sugano's lack of strikeout upside should continue to limit his fantasy value to close out the year, though he'll hang onto streaming appeal this weekend at pitcher-friendly Oracle Park against the Giants .
