Miller (1-0) allowed two hits and a walk over six shutout frames Sunday, striking out five and earning a win over Houston.

Miller was dominant Sunday, giving up just a pair of singles and not letting any Astro reach scoring position. He retired the last 11 batters he faced while securing his first MLB win. Miller has looked right at home with the Mariners since making the jump from Dobule-A Arkansas, posting a 15:1 K:BB while allowing just one run through 12 innings. Assuming he sticks around, he's lined up for a start in Detroit next week.

Houck will make his next scheduled start, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

When exactly that start will come isn't clear, but it will either be next weekend against the Cardinals or early next week versus the Mariners. James Paxton (hamstring) is also set to join the rotation next weekend, so the Red Sox appear poised to use a six-man rotation for at least one turn. Houck was charged with three runs on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings against the Phillies on Sunday, notching four strikeouts along the way.

Suarez exited Sunday's start against the Rangers with an athletic trainer, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Suarez was charged with seven earned runs across 2.2 innings, but his removal is clearly injury related since the Angels didn't have any relievers warming up. It remains to be seen if the issue will affect his availability for the next turn through the rotation.

Chirinos is slated to start Wednesday's game in Baltimore, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Though Chirinos had unremarkable results in his first start of the season this past Friday against the Yankees -- he covered 5.1 innings and gave up three runs on three hits and four hits while failing to strike out a batter -- he'll get another turn through the Tampa Bay rotation. The Rays could look to deploy Chirinos behind an opener at some point in an effort to coax better results from him, but at least for the time being, he lines up to make a traditional start Wednesday.

Guardians president of baseball operations Chris Antonetti said that Civale (oblique) will throw a live batting practice session at the organization's facility in Arizona on Tuesday, Joe Noga of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

If Civale's injured left oblique responds well to the live throwing session, Antonetti noted that the right-hander could be cleared for a simulated game at extended spring training by the end of next weekend. Civale has been on the shelf for just under a month with the injury, so he may need at least two rehab outings to get fully stretched back out for starting duty before the Guardians bring him back from the 15-day injured list. He appears to be tracking toward a return from the IL in late May or early June.

Quantrill (2-2) earned the win Sunday, tossing seven scoreless innings in which he allowed one hit and three walks during a 2-0 victory over the Twins. He struck out four.

Quantrill took a no-hit bid into the seventh but surrendered a two-out single to Alex Kirilloff. The right-hander has completed at least seven innings in back-to-back starts and notched his second scoreless outing of the season, lowering his ERA from 4.73 to 3.89. Quantrill has a few bumpy appearances so far and isn't striking many batters out (21:12 K:BB through 39.1 innings), but he appears to be on the right track recently and will look to make it three straight quality starts next time out, which is tentatively scheduled for a three-game weekend set versus the Angels.

Astros general manager Dana Brown said Sunday that Urquidy (shoulder) has a chance to return from the 15-day injured list "somewhere around the All-Star break," Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Though the injury that landed Urquidy on the shelf this past Monday has been labeled as right forearm inflammation, it's apparent that he's dealing with something more significant than minor swelling. Manager Dusty Baker already noted that Urquidy won't be cleared to throw for a while, and Brown's comments suggest that the Astros are preparing for the right-hander to miss at least two months due to the injury. Given that Urquidy had pitched to a 5.20 ERA and 1.55 WHIP over his six starts prior to landing on the IL and is now facing a long-term absence, he likely won't be worth stashing in the majority of formats. With Luis Garcia (elbow) scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery in the near future, both J.P. France and Brandon Bielak should have long leashes for spots in the Houston rotation until Lance McCullers (elbow) is cleared to return from the 15-day IL, possibly in late May or early June.

Ryan (5-1) took the loss Sunday, allowing two runs on eight hits over six innings during a 2-0 loss to Cleveland. He struck out four and did not walk a batter.

Ryan surrendered three straight singles to start the game and escaped the opening frame with two runs allowed. After the rocky first, he scattered four hits across five scoreless innings but still suffered his first loss, as Cleveland's pitching staff combined for a one-hit shutout. Sunday's outing marked just the third time over seven starts that Ryan has allowed multiple earned runs, and his 47:6 K:BB through 44 innings remains elite. The right-hander will look to continue his stellar beginning to the campaign next time out, which is tentatively scheduled for a three-game weekend set versus the Cubs.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Severino (lat) is expected to make a rehab start at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

For his part, Severino said he prefers to make his first rehab start Thursday with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, since Wednesday's contest has an early start time that would require him to stay overnight in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. The Yankees could push Severino back a day to accommodate his wishes, but whether he takes the hill Wednesday or Thursday, it shouldn't ultimately have a dramatic effect on his timeline for making his 2023 MLB debut. Severino threw a three-inning, 40-pitch simulated game this past Friday in Tampa and experienced no ill effects, and he's expected to make at least two rehab starts before being activated from the 15-day injured list.

Lynch (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab start for Triple-A Omaha on Sunday.

Lynch struck out six and allowed two runs on four hits and a walk in 2.1 innings with Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday. He's expected to build up to somewhere between 65 and 75 pitches. It's unclear if he'll remain with Omaha for one more appearance or rejoin the Royals if Sunday's start goes well.
